About The Role

We are seeking an ambitious and motivated Fundraising Manager, working 35 hours per week, to join our Growth and Partnerships team. Working closely with the Head of Growth & Partnerships, you will play a key role in delivering and developing NYAS’s fundraising strategy, helping to grow and diversify income across trusts and foundations, corporate partnerships, community fundraising and individual giving.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced fundraiser who enjoys both strategic and hands-on work. You will lead and support a team of fundraising professionals, overseeing high-quality funding applications, donor stewardship and income generation activity while ensuring fundraising activity aligns with NYAS’s mission, values and organisational priorities.

You will manage a varied fundraising portfolio, helping to build strong relationships with funders and supporters while identifying opportunities to increase sustainable income. Working collaboratively across the organisation, you will help develop compelling cases for support, funding proposals and impact reports that demonstrate the difference NYAS makes to vulnerable children, young people and adults.

The role also involves maintaining oversight of fundraising systems, pipelines and reporting, ensuring activity is compliant, well-managed and aligned to fundraising best practice.

About You

We are looking for a skilled fundraising professional with experience securing income from a range of fundraising streams, including trusts and foundations, corporate partnerships, community fundraising and/or individual giving.

You will have excellent written communication skills and experience producing persuasive funding applications, reports and donor communications. You will also have strong organisational skills, the ability to manage multiple priorities and experience supporting or supervising others within a fundraising environment.

You will be confident building relationships with internal and external stakeholders and able to use data and insight to inform fundraising activity and demonstrate impact. Experience using CRM systems and fundraising platforms is essential, alongside a good understanding of fundraising regulations and best practice.

Role Purpose
We are looking to recruit a talented, dynamic and professional Engagement Manager to join our team. In this role, you will lead all aspects of the Flintshire Befrienders project. 
Flintshire Befrienders is funded by the National Lottery Community Fund and supports older people experiencing social isolation and loneliness.  Our team of Volunteer Befrienders provide companionship, help to build confidence, and encourage engagement in the local community.  The project consists of:

· One-to-one befriending in a person’s home, or over the telephone

· Community buddying – support to attend local community groups and events

· Volunteer-led events – activities that older people can engage in, based on their interests

The right candidate would be someone with experience of supporting and managing volunteers, working with older people facing isolation and loneliness, as well as someone who can work flexibly and demonstrate a commitment to our organisational values.

Additional Information:

Although we are an organization built upon a Christian ethos, we do not

Terms and Conditions:

This is a full-time, permanent position. The salary will be £27,032 per annum.

The role will oversee the day-to-day front-end management of the UK website, working with our content team to make sure we have quality storytelling content that converts. The Manager also collaborates with internal stakeholders to develop our digital donation platform, helping to refine the donation journey and user experience to improve conversion rates. The role will also manage our online shop growing the revenue from this channel. 

The Website and Marketing Manager will lead on the technical and content SEO/GEO strategy, working with cross organisational teams and Mary’s Meals International to achieve significant growth in traffic to our website.

Working in the Acquisition Marketing team, this is a collaborative role working side-by-side with colleagues from across the Supporter Experience and Communications directorate, ensuring a joined-up approach to all communications activities, through the integration of strong storytelling and marketing expertise, robust supporter journeys will be created, ensuring they are effective at bringing in new donors.

The Organisation: YCS (Cwmni Siarad) was originally set up in 2011 to improve access to and meet the needs of groups traditionally under-represented in taking up psychological therapies, through the provision of accessible, evidence-based therapies and other support.   It has been mainly run by volunteers but is now progressing widening its services to provide facilities for private and contractual counselling support.  Any profits from its activities is used to subsidise the provision of counselling support to individuals who have difficulty accessing counselling services for a variety of reasons.  Apart from the delivery of face-to-face counselling in South East Wales, the organisation provides on-line counselling services throughout Wales.    

Job Purpose: To lead, manage and develop YCS Counselling services, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, accessible and ethical counselling provision. The postholder will support the safe and effective practice of student and volunteer counsellors, overseeing both the client journey and the placement experience to ensure positive outcomes for clients and a supportive, structured development environment for counsellors.

The role requires a strong understanding of the counselling sector, with the ability to work empathetically with a diverse client group, while supporting and guiding counsellors on placement.

As part of a small charity and an NCPS-recognised service, the postholder will adopt a hands-on approach, contributing directly to the day-to-day running of the service, working flexibly as part of the team, and supporting the practical operation of the therapy centre.

Salary: £30,030 pro rota (£18,018 for 21 hours)

Accountable to: Director

Working Pattern: 21 hours per week. Currently the post will be expected to work Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday (9am – 5pm) at our Therapy Centre including one late shift per week (11am - 7pm).

Objectives:

(i)Ensure the delivery of safe, ethical and high-quality counselling services in line with professional standards (BACP/NCPS).

(ii) Develop and implement processes that improve client access, flow, and outcomes (e.g. waiting times, engagement, completion).

(iii) Strengthen and expand the volunteer counselling programme, including recruitment, retention, and development.

(iv) Embed a culture of reflective practice, continuous improvement, and clinical excellence.

(v) Contribute to the financial sustainability of the service through efficient resource use and support for income-generating activity.

(vi) Build and maintain partnerships with training providers and referral organisations.

(vii) Monitor and evaluate service outcomes to inform development and reporting.

Service Leadership & Delivery

• Lead the day-to-day delivery of YCS counselling services, ensuring a high-quality, accessible and well-coordinated provision.
• Oversee the full client journey, including referral, assessment, allocation, engagement and endings.
• Manage client assessment appointments, waiting lists and allocation to counsellors to ensure timely and appropriate access.
• Maintain a small caseload, including undertaking client assessments and delivering counselling where required, particularly in more complex cases.
• Contribute to the smooth running of the therapy centre, including opening and closing the premises and working flexibly as part of a small team.
• Work collaboratively as part of a small, values-driven team, contributing to a supportive and flexible working environment.

Student & Volunteer Counsellor Support

• Lead on the recruitment, induction and onboarding of student and volunteer counsellors.
• Provide ongoing guidance and support throughout the placement journey, ensuring a positive, structured and professionally enriching experience.
• Act as a key point of contact for counsellors, supporting them with queries relating to client work, processes and placement requirements.
• Monitor counsellor progress, including review of client logs, attendance and placement requirements, and completion of reports for training providers.
• Support counsellor wellbeing and development through regular communication, informal support and signposting where appropriate.

Clinical Quality & Safe Practice (in collaboration with Clinical Lead)

• Support the delivery of safe, ethical and effective counselling practice in line with NCPS (or equivalent) standards.
• Provide day-to-day guidance to counsellors on managing risk, safeguarding concerns and complex client presentations, escalating to the Clinical Lead where appropriate.
• Act as a safeguarding point of contact during operational hours (e.g. when locking up) and ensure concerns are appropriately recorded and escalated.
• Monitor client engagement, endings and overall service quality, identifying areas for improvement.

Service Development & Partnerships

• Support the Director in the ongoing development and growth of the counselling service.
• Build and maintain relationships with counselling training providers to support the recruitment and retention of placements.
• Contribute to the development of systems, processes and policies that improve service delivery and consistency.

Operations, Systems & Data

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date client and service records in line with GDPR and confidentiality requirements.
• Use digital systems (including Microsoft 365 and client management databases) to support efficient service delivery, communication and reporting.
• Monitor key service data, including waiting times, engagement and outcomes, supporting reporting requirements.
• Contribute to the effective administration of bookings, cancellations and client communications.

• Build and maintain relationships with local training organisations to increase volunteer placements.
• Participate in operational duties including opening and locking premises and acting as a safeguarding contact when required.
• Maintain accurate data monitoring, reporting, and record-keeping systems.

You’ll collaborate closely with colleagues across Legacy Marketing & Administration, Philanthropy and Regional Engagement teams to ensure we take a more proactive, insight-led approach to identifying and supporting high-value pledgers. As a Senior Legacy Engagement Manager – Stewardship and Blended Giving, you will focus on:

• Inspiring and managing the team, working in partnership with the other Senior Legacy Engagement Manager, to deliver a world-class stewardship programme for legacy supporter
• Leading the development of a more structured, insight-led stewardship approach, ensuring clarity on when a personalised, relationship-led approach adds the most value
• Supporting and guiding Legacy Engagement Managers to prioritise and build relationships with supporters most likely to leave significant gifts
• Driving a more proactive approach to identifying and engaging high-value legacy supporters, moving beyond passive acquisition routes
• Playing a key role in developing our Blended Giving approach, working closely with the Philanthropy team to connect legacy and major giving opportunities
• Collaborating with colleagues across the organisation to deliver a seamless, supporter-centric experience that secures and grows long-term income
• Using insight and data to continuously evaluate and improve our stewardship approach, identifying opportunities to enhance supporter experience and value

About you

As an experienced fundraising or engagement leader, you’ll be comfortable building meaningful relationships with supporters, working collaboratively across teams and inspiring others to deliver excellent stewardship.

• Strong leadership experience, including managing and motivating a geographically dispersed team and driving performance
• Demonstrable experience in managing high-value relationships, including stewardship of major donors or legacy pledgers
• Experience of developing and delivering personalised engagement approaches that drive long-term value
• Proven ability to use insight and data to inform decision-making and prioritisation
• Experience of working across teams to deliver integrated approaches, ideally including exposure to both legacy and major giving
• Ability to influence a wide range of stakeholders and drive change in a complex organisation
• Strategic thinking skills, with the ability to translate strategy into clear, practical delivery
• A valid driving licence

Terms and Conditions:

This is a full-time, permanent position. The salary will be £24,455 per annum

This position is 37 hours per week.

The position is offered subject to the satisfactory completion of a three-month probationary period.
