We are looking for a Senior Psychological Therapist to join our Services team and help shape psychologically informed support for the fire services community.
This is an opportunity to work autonomously within clear clinical frameworks, managing a focused caseload while receiving regular supervision and contributing to the development of group, early intervention and service improvement activity.
About the role
About you
You will bring a Level 5/6 qualification in counselling, psychotherapy or equivalent professional experience, alongside registration with a relevant professional body such as HCPC, UKCP, BABCP or BACP.
You will have significant post-qualification experience of working with moderate to complex presentations, including trauma, comorbidity, safeguarding and clinical risk.
We are looking for someone who can work independently, adapt therapeutic approaches to meet individual needs, communicate sensitively with a wide range of stakeholders and contribute to a supportive, inclusive and reflective team culture.
Additional information
The role includes participation in the senior clinical escalation on-call rota, with a requirement to provide a minimum of six weeks of cover per year. Occasional daytime coverage for the Crisis Line may also be required to support team capacity and continuous service delivery. Occasional national travel may be required, and enhanced safeguarding checks will be undertaken.

They will work closely with A&E clinical staff, integrated discharge teams, CGL, Bounce Back, and mental health liaison teams, to proactively identify referrals into the crisis alternatives service to facilitate timely discharges from A&E.

The Trust is recruiting a creative and committed Research and Policy Officer to join our team. Reporting to one of the team’s Research and Policy Managers, the successful candidate will play a significant role in developing and preparing the Trust’s research and policy outputs, working across the core areas of the Sutton Trust’s work (early years, schools, apprenticeships, higher education and access to the workplace). The charity provides high-quality debt and money advice services, helping people manage debt, maximise income, protect essential services and improve their financial wellbeing.
As a Specialist Debt Adviser, you will manage a complex caseload, providing comprehensive debt advice and casework to clients facing a range of financial challenges. You will negotiate with creditors, support clients to access appropriate debt solutions and work closely with colleagues to ensure the highest standards of advice and service delivery.
You will also play an important role in supporting junior team members, contributing to service development and helping to maintain quality standards across the organisation.

We provide a wide range of useful and well utilised local services in Richmond upon Thames designed to improve wellbeing and enhance independence – including information & advice; a wide range of social & wellbeing centres and sessions; support after hospital discharge; digital skills development; Dementia Friendly Richmond; mental health peer support and home services such as handyperson, housekeeping and gardening. Partnership is a core part of our work – we work in close collaboration with other voluntary sector partners and wider organisations to maximise our impact and reach. Our friendly and committed team of 50 staff and 100+ volunteers support over 4,000 local older people each year.
We currently have an excellent administrator opportunity for flexible and proactive individual to join our Nightingale Home from Hospital service, which provides much needed free support to local older people who have been discharged from hospital or become unwell in the community – with a particular emphasis on those living alone and without family support. Our
Our small team of team & volunteers are involved in organising and delivering tasks which facilitate a speedy hospital discharge and make homes safer to avoid admission – including fitting keysafes, moving furniture, shopping, giving advice and coordinating with health & social teams.
This busy role will include:
- Liaise with referrers, clients, their families and carers to identify the support required upon hospital discharge.
- Developing a holistic plan of support working with others and be able to personally deliver aspects of this support including practical tasks. This could include but is not limited to information & advice, moving furniture, preparing the home for discharge, shopping and organising transport. This will involve working directly in the homes of clients.
- Recording all referrals, actions, progress and data via a CRM / database.
- Ensure the individual receives the support/services they need – working and communicating with staff, referrers, clients, family members, carers, social workers, hospitals and other Age UK Richmond and voluntary sector services.
We are looking for an individual who has experience in a similar health , social care or voluntary sector setting and is willing to take a hand on role. A good level of IT skills is also required.
Access to a vehicle is required for the role.
