Brief role description:
The Senior Corporate Development and Partnerships Manager/ Head of Corporate Development and Partnerships will be a dynamic and strategic leader who will lead the Forces Employment Charity (FEC)’s business development. This will include researching and identifying new income generation opportunities from corporates, employers and government contracts, when relevant, and converting these into long term relationships. You will lead the team to produce high quality, bespoke proposals, and reports to demonstrate impact and outcomes to help drive the delivery of FEC across the UK.
As part of the Marketing, Communication and Fundraising Directorate, and led by the Director of Marketing,
Communications and Fundraising, you will be supported to be creative in how you grow and uplift new business to contribute to annual growth targets. You will have an entrepreneurial approach to your work to identify and attract new partnerships whilst being responsible for the relationship management of our established corporate partners, focusing on stewardship, renewals and smart uplifts.
Some of your responsibilities include:
- Driving the development of tailored, high-impact proposals and pitches to engage relevant companies and secure strategic, multifaceted partnerships that align with the charity’s mission.
- Work with the wider directorate including fundraising, marketing, communications and events, to identify new, innovative projects to help us achieve our income generation objectives.
- Develop and execute a business development strategy to drive revenue and market presence.
- Represent FEC at events, meetings, and networking opportunities to grow visibility and to deepen engagement.
- Oversee budget, monitor performance against goals and KPIs, and conduct contract negotiations.
- Lead and manage the corporate development and partnerships team, fostering innovation and collaboration within your team, whilst providing strategic direction and support.
- Take an active role in planning and delivering key new business events to support income generation and stakeholder engagement.
Some of the skills and experience we are looking for are:
- Experience in building strong, successful, long-term partnerships.
- Strong track record of securing multiple six / seven-figure sums from partnerships and delivering income targets.
- Strong prospect research, networking, and pipeline management skills
- Strong communication skills, including diplomacy, presentation, negotiation and influencing skills.
- Strong leadership and people management skills with a proven track record in coaching, motivating, and developing teams.
- Ability to manage the workload, outputs, and people within a team to produce high-quality outcomes in a fast-moving environment.
- Strong strategic thinking skills with the ability to develop innovative and forward-thinking strategies and translate these into operational plans.
- Considerable experience in building relationships with senior stakeholders internally and externally, particularly with government and corporate organisations.
- Significant experience in managing complex projects with internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience in managing budgets, financial reporting and analysing data to inform strategic and tactical decision making
Ideally you will also have:
- Educated to degree level or equivalent.
- Empathy with and a good understanding of Ex-Forces personnel and the challenges they can face.
- Experience in leading funding applications
- Excellent IT skills, preferably including experience of working with a CRM database (Salesforce) - Training opportunities will be available as part of your role.

Last year they treated over 103,000 animals, trained over 2,800 vets and vaccinated over 1.2 m dogs against rabies.
Reporting to the Head of Philanthropy, the Corporate Partnerships Manager will lead on the development and delivery of the charity’s corporate fundraising strategy, shaping a high-potential income stream to create impactful partnerships with businesses that align with WVS’s mission and values. It is not being able to replace a toothbrush when needed or sharing a toothbrush because one each just isn't an option. It is having to choose between shaving foam and razors or the transport fare to a job interview.
Hygiene Poverty is the hidden crisis facing the UK. In May 2024, The Hygiene Bank published their second groundbreaking research into the incidence and impact of hygiene poverty. It found that over 4.1 million adults across the country are currently experiencing hygiene poverty and that it is both alarmingly widespread, increasing and disproportionately impacts the most vulnerable. It stops people from participating in society, feeds the mental health crisis and blocks routes out of poverty. It is simply unjust.

About the role
As our Partnership Officer, you will have the exciting opportunity to make a huge difference in improving the lives of people living in hygiene poverty.
Reporting into the Head of Brand and Corporate Partnerships, the Partnership Officer plays a pivotal role in the brand and corporate team and is responsible for supporting, stewarding, renewing, and growing our brand and corporate partners to meet our income targets and to source donated product for our service users. Our partners range from emerging brands to strategic corporate partners and reflect a combination of financial support, skills-based support, brand donations and volunteering.
The role is varied and requires outstanding relationship building and communication skills, strong time management, excellent written and verbal communication skills, meticulous record keeping and relationship management. About the role:
In this role, you will work closely with the Director of Fundraising & Communications to develop and enhance their Corporate and Special Events Programme. This is very much a hands-on role of team leadership and direct account management. This includes six figure partners.
The post-holder has a key role in the management of their Philanthropy & Corporate Board, which bring together industry leader to help move both these programmes forward. There is great freedom to innovate and a healthy pool of local business with an affinity to our cause. The post-holder takes a key leadership role across fundraising and marketing, working with their peers and Director to take strategic decisions for wider benefit of the department.
Line managing a small team of two you will play a key role in building and maintaining relationships with existing and prospective partners of the charity. You will ensure our partners have the best possible experience, making them feel engaged and motivated, valued and informed about the impact of their involvement and help them achieve their organisation’s objectives.
About you:
You will be an inspiring Corporate Fundraising Head, excellentcommunicator and a natural relationship builder. You will have demonstrative experience in people management within Partnerships and ideally a strong, broad background in corporate fundraising or commerical sales. For the past 8 years, we’ve been delivering financial education programmes that set children up for life. But we have so much more to do to ensure no child misses out.
Our plan for 2025 to 2027 focuses on strengthening our commitment to working with schools, families, and communities. We want to help people feel more confident talking about money. We will prioritise financial literacy in education and aim to increase funding for financial education programmes. Our goal is to ensure all children can make informed financial decisions as they grow up.
Our efforts also concentrate on expanding and strengthening our collaborations and partnerships with educational institutions, advocates, financial partners, and supporters.
We are looking for a relationship-driven Corporate Fundraiser to manage and grow our corporate partnerships and support our mission to improve financial education for children and young people across the UK.
This role will focus primarily on account management of existing corporate partners, most of whom are based in London and work within the financial services sector. Corporate partners support the charity through donations, participation in a collaborative supporter group, and employee volunteering.
A key part of the role will be coordinating our corporate volunteering programme, particularly school-based volunteering sessions where corporate employees deliver financial education workshops. You will manage the end-to-end process, working closely with corporate partners, schools and internal colleagues to ensure high-quality delivery.
You will also support new business development, helping to identify and secure new corporate partnerships, and will use Salesforce to manage relationships, pipelines and reporting.

The role
