We are looking for a Chief Executive Officer to lead the organisation through its next stage of development.

The CEO will provide strategic and operational leadership, working closely with the Board of Trustees to ensure the organisation remains sustainable, impactful and true to its mission. The Role

We are looking for an Executive Fundraising Director to strategically oversee and manage the Fundraising function.

In order to support the increasing level of demand for this work, over the next five years, the fundraising team will embark on an ambitious growth strategy as they look to grow income from £9 million this year to £20 million by 2029, increasing the breadth, depth and number of communities that the charity serves. The successful candidate will play a key role in leading the development and delivery of the fundraising strategy to ensure that children and young people have the best start in life. They will be responsible for a broad range of income streams with a particular focus on growth across high net worth individuals, individual giving, corporate and digital, whilst continuing to effectively maintain and build upon strong funder base in trusts, foundations, philanthropy and statutory support. They will also directly oversee the wider fundraising team, which currently includes the fundraising manager and fundraising officer roles.

About You

You will be educated to degree level or equivalent, demonstrated through relevant professional experience or an accredited qualification.

You will have experience of:

• Fundraising, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
• Meeting and exceeding fundraising targets in a senior fundraising role.
• Leading the development and implementation of a successful fundraising strategy, generating significant organisational income.
• Working across different forms of fundraising including trusts & foundations, high net worth individuals, individual giving, corporate and statutory/public sector.
• Leading, managing and inspiring high performing fundraising teams. research, strategic planning, budgeting and monitoring.
• Fostering successful relationships and partnerships with key internal and external stakeholders.
• Bringing together influential funders and policy makers to increase awareness and support of key issues.

About the Role

We are seeking an authentic advocate for children’s rights to help drive our influence with government and other stakeholders. You will develop and implement policy change strategies across a range of thematic areas, underpinning the advocacy strategy. You will guide and empower service users to engage with community services, while also offering day‑to‑day leadership to Recovery Workers, Peer Support Workers and volunteers, ensuring consistent, high‑quality practice. Rates of Pay for Form F Assessors

• Carry out key reproductive duties, including cytology, progesterone testing and supervising matings, ensuring the highest standards of welfare and outcomes.
• Support clinical care for breeding dogs, applying your knowledge of canine anatomy, physiology and behaviour.
• Maintain accurate records, analyse reproductive data and contribute to continuous improvement across the breeding programme.
• Develop skills in ultrasound and reproductive techniques, including artificial insemination, under veterinary direction (full training provided).

What You’ll Bring

• Registered Veterinary Nurse with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons.

This is an exciting opportunity to lead CPAG’s strategic legal work at an important time in the organisation’s fight to end child poverty. As Head of Strategic Litigation, you will oversee and carry out CPAG’s work using legal cases for positive impact, to benefit families and children in poverty. You will be responsible for setting the strategic direction of CPAG’s legal work, in addition to managing CPAG’s legal practice and playing an active role in conducting high-profile litigation on a day-to-day basis.

We are looking for someone who is strategically minded and passionate about using the law to advocate for the rights of, and directly improve the lives of, families in poverty. The ideal candidate will be a solicitor (E&W qualified) with substantial post-qualification experience. You will have experience of conducting public law litigation and legal aid (publicly funded) work. You will be able to supervise the casework of colleagues, such as CPAG’s junior or trainee solicitor(s) and welfare benefit advisers, and support the professional development and wellbeing of your team. You may have experience of working with clients in vulnerable situations or with additional needs, for example, survivors of domestic abuse, refugees, disabled people or children and young people.

The Role

Strategic Leadership & Impact

• Lead delivery of LawCare’s forthcoming strategy (2026 onwards), translating vision into measurable impact.
