Crisis is the national charity for people experiencing homelessness. We have embarked on our 10-year strategy for ending homelessness. We know it is not inevitable. We know together we can end it.
Location: Based in London office, E1, with the team meeting in person to collaborate once per week. There is also the expectation of travel as required (usually 2-4 times per month) across London (and potentially) the UK to meet with donors. About the role
Crisis is in the first year of our new strategy, and philanthropy is critical to achieving our organisational goals, especially the £20m Housing Supply campaign, an ambitious initiative at the heart of our strategy to deliver genuinely affordable homes and end homelessness for good.
You would use your proven ability to build strong relationships and secure four- to five-figure gifts to manage a dynamic portfolio of major donors and prospects, applying your understanding of moves management and the major donor solicitation cycle to engage, inspire, and retain support. Confident in working with high-profile individuals, you would use your excellent communication and influencing skills to deliver compelling cases for support, represent Crisis with professionalism, and create meaningful donor experiences.
Proactive and creative in your approach, you would work collaboratively across teams, integrate digital techniques to enhance engagement, and measure success against KPIs and targets. Above all, your work would be driven by a deep commitment to Crisis’ purpose and values, equity, inclusion, and the belief that together we can end homelessness for good.
About you
We are looking for an ambitious and relationship-led fundraiser who is passionate about making a tangible difference and inspired by Crisis’ mission to end homelessness. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of moves management and the major donor solicitation cycle, using these principles to strategically cultivate, solicit, and steward high-value supporters. With a proven track record of securing four- and five-figure gifts, you will be confident in engaging and influencing high-value and high-profile individuals, understanding their motivations and inspiring their confidence in Crisis’ work. You will combine excellent communication and influencing skills with creativity and independence, managing a dynamic portfolio of donors while working collaboratively across teams to deliver outstanding supporter experiences. Highly organised, results-driven, and innovative in your approach, you will be motivated by achieving targets and growing income. ABOUT THE ROLE
The Fundraising Executives provide support to the wider Fundraising team assisting with all aspects of fundraising activity. Three Fundraising Executives are managed by the Head of Fundraising and support fundraising activity across 11 segments of income generation. The role provides an opportunity to gain a level of understanding and knowledge about each income stream and donor stewardship.
The Fundraising Executive is a varied role with involvement in each stage of fundraising activity, from research and planning to campaign or event delivery and then income processing and thanking of donors and supporters. The successful candidate will be passionate about learning about fundraising and how we as a team raise the vital funds needed to provide Trinity’s care for future patients and their loved ones.
This is an entry level role that is a great opportunity for anyone who wants to learn about fundraising and make their first step in developing a fundraising career.
The successful candidate will:
·Open mail and process cheques and donations to the fundraising database, ensuring donations are accurately recorded and thanked in a timely way.
·Support with email and written correspondence with donors and grant makers

·Join the team at fundraising events (at the hospice and in our community) raising the profile of the hospice and encouraging support (events include hospice events and external events such as London Marathon).

Experience, knowledge, skills, and characteristics
Required:

This role will support the charities appeal fundraising programme, working with the Head of Supporter Engagement and Supporter Experience Manager on supporter stewardship.
The Supporter Experience Coordinator will also provide efficient and effective key administrative support to the wider fundraising team, optimising income generation proactivity cross-team. They will support in maximising the potential of our fundraising data, ensuring accurate and effective fundraising finance processes, gift aid maximisation and utilising the fundraising database.

Who we are looking for
This role is our primary communications role, working with our education and delivery managers to ensure great comms for the charity. It requires someone ready to own and lead this work understanding out to ensure good quality assurance processes but also strategic deployment of e-comms.
You should have around three or more years’ experience in communications, digital marketing, or a similar role, ready to lead a busy portfolio of work.

Job Profile

PERSON SPECIFICATION
You will be an experienced and dynamic communicator with significant demonstrable experience in fundraising and/or communications at a senior level, coupled with an awareness and up to date knowledge and experience of the tools that would maximise the success of our communications and fundraising activities. In addition, you will have excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to confidently build and maintain strong relationships with a diverse group of stakeholders. Resonance is a 24/7, artist-led community radio station based in Southwark, London, broadcasting on FM, DAB and online to audiences in the UK and internationally. Position Location: Remote, in the UK. Candidates should be prepared to travel to London once a month for in-person team meet-ups. Please note that travel for these routine office visits is self-funded. Occasional travel to Animal Equality events may be required, with all associated expenses fully covered.
