With a focus on driving public awareness of and engagement with the organisation's services, the Numeracy Campaign Manager will be responsible for delivering creative and results-driven campaigns that engage audiences, communities and organisations with the benefits of improving number confidence.

From honing campaign strategy to sparking collaboration with external organisations, individuals and ambassadors as well as delivering creative and engaging content this is a key role at the organisation and will play a pivotal role in how the organisation is viewed by the public and its partners.

About the role:

• Devise and deliver the campaigns strategy, reviewing and honing as necessary
• Deliver the organisation's annual awareness day, National Numeracy Day, and other campaigns, such as Number Confidence Week, throughout the year
• Lead and deliver events, content, celebrity activity, case studies, media and marketing for campaigns throughout the year
• Lead and deliver great collaborations with external organisations to further the organisation's campaign and charity aims
• Work with the Events & Celebrity Liaison Manager to ensure the positive engagement of current celebrity ambassadors with campaigns, and the development of new influencer relationships

About you:

National Numeracy is looking for someone who is highly motivated with bags of initiative. Experience in the charity sector is not necessary, as long as you can show that you have relevant transferable skills and an understanding of what it takes to lead successful campaigns.

About this role

The Digital Acquisition Officer is a key member of the Mass Engagement team and part of the wider Development team. The Mass Engagement team exists to raise awareness of Reprieve’s work, shift public opinion and to inspire support. Your role will be to engage members of the public, grow the Reprieve’s community and help establish our supporter base.

It is an exciting time for our team, as we launch their first mass engagement strategy to promote the long-term growth of the programme. Digital fundraising boomed between 2020 and 2021 but has faced challenges in 2022 and 2023. As we launch our new strategy, we are looking for a creative and enthusiastic individual, keen to try new things and learn through testing, excited about communicating Reprieve’s work to our supporters and inspiring them to donate.

You will be key to the acquisition of new supporters, leading on developing and managing lead generation across our platforms, building paid for and organic content, and developing new and innovative ways to engage supporters with the support of the Head of Digital and Mass Engagement.

As a small team we have a collaborative and “all hands on deck” approach, ready to step in and support each other. This means at times you will support on our retention and stewardship work, as well as helping the wider Development Team when needed.

You will share our commitment to fighting racism and advancing racial justice, as well as help craft comms that can take supporters with us on this work whilst ensuring we do this in a way that does not compound racist structures.

Contract, location and salary

Primary Responsibilities and Duties:

Colostomy UK is a national charity that offers support and advice to people who have had stoma surgery (ostomates) and those who care about them. North Bristol & South Gloucestershire (NBSG) Foodbank has operated for 12 years, providing emergency food parcels to people in crisis in the local community. Recently, we have shifted our focus to go beyond food and try to tackle the root causes of food insecurity. One goal of our new strategy is to change minds, change policy and create empathy about poverty. The Campaign Coordinator is responsible for working towards this goal by delivering the Trussell Trust’s (TT) influencing and mobilising work during the General Election (GE). You will do this by building strong relationships with other food banks in the Bristol & South Gloucestershire area. Campaign Coordinators implement TT’s national GE strategy, by using Organising techniques to put pressure on Prospective Parliamentary Candidates (PPCs) in each Combined Local Authority.

You will lead local community teams of people who support ending the need for food banks, to secure commitments from your PPCs to ‘prioritise the problem of people going without essentials if re/elected, acknowledging the role social security needs to play in tackling it.’

This role is funded by TT as part of their GE strategy, and you will be part of a network of Campaign Coordinators around the UK doing this work. You will serve as the link between NBSG Foodbank and the Mobilisation team at TT, as we build a movement to end the need for food banks.

• To build trusted relationships with food banks during (pre and post) UK General Election. You will hold 121 conversations with each food bank in the Bristol & South Gloucestershire area and ensure there is clear communication between the food banks. 

• To support teams of community volunteers. You will have 121’s with: food bank staff, volunteers, partner organisations and stakeholders in each community to develop community bases for your campaign work. 

• To lead effective door-knocking teams in your community.  You will door knock with your community campaign team to drum up support for the campaign, provide members of the public literature on food bank use in their local community, and invite people to their local hustings. 

• To help each of your community campaign teams organise a local hustings.  You will ensure that your community campaign teams: attend national TT webinars, receive national guidance on how to approach PPCs, understand the TT legal GE guidance, understand the logistics of organising a hustings, ensure that the hustings is as accessible as possible and ensure that the voices of people with lived experience are heard through the hustings. 

• To develop good relationships with local press and media outlets. You will work alongside National TT colleagues to find key press and media contacts in your area, ensuring your community campaign teams get coverage for their hard work.

• To deliver the local campaigning strategy working with food bank staff, volunteers and clients.

• To work with the Organising and Local Mobilisation (OLM) team in TT and engage with the training and support on offer, including work with other Campaign Coordinators in the TT network.

• To liaise with the Foodbank Manager regularly, providing updates on campaigns work, coordinating its integration into the entire NBSG team, to ensure the work is sustainable.

The Role
We are looking for a Data Governance Lead to come in and work to define what first-class data governance looks like for the Charity, including establishing a data retention framework for their relationship marketing systems and tools, to ensure privacy is included within process design at all points, and will work to embed best practice data quality standards within the organisation.

You will champion and train colleagues in how to get the most from data, creating a framework for data classification, discovery and the provision of self-service datasets and increasing data literacy across the organisation.

This individual will be the resident expert in data governance and maturity, adept in data governance tools and helping to classify, categorise and document our data.

The Candidate
We are looking for someone with experience in developing and implementing data governance policies, standards and procedures, with an understanding of advocating for better use and management of data along with delivering better data literacy within an organisation. You should have experience of setting up or establishing a data governance framework from scratch, enabling data users to deliver their objectives efficiently and confidently.

Experience of implementing data governance tools such as Azure Purview, Informatica, Talend, etc would be highly advantageous.

Women’s Aid is the national charity working to end domestic abuse against women and children. We are a federation of over 170 organisations which provide just under 300 local lifesaving services to women and children across England. Purpose of the Senior Communications Officer role:   

As Senior Communications Officer, the successful candidate will be a creative, agile and impactful professional, who will play a pivotal role in shaping Women’s Aid’s communications campaigns, working closely with the Communications Manager and the Head of Media, Brand and Relationships. The successful candidate will take the lead on generating creative, engaging content and ideas for Women’s Aid communications – including major campaign moments and brand awareness. Key duties and responsibilities of the Senior Communications Officer: 

• To be the key communications officer representing the communications team, developing the key messaging of external campaigns, brand-building and communications for the organisation and developing public awareness of these.

• To lead on planning, drafting and implementing a communications plan for Women’s Aid key communications campaigns such as International Women’s Day, 16 Days, as well as wider organisational projects, incorporating press and social media and providing media support as required. 

• To develop relevant media and social media contacts, as well as contacts in the sector, to maximise the reach and coverage of key communications campaigns as well as wider organisational projects. 

• To work with colleagues to ensure the campaigns take an intersectional approach and centres the most marginalised voices. 

• To work with a diverse range of survivor case studies and media spokespeople, including Women’s Aid member organisations, and to ensure they are treated in an appropriate and safe manner.

• To help identify both proactive and reactive media opportunities. 

• To write blogs, news articles and promotional copy for Women’s Aid.

What we are looking for in our Senior Communications Officer: 

• At least two years experience working in communications/journalism/publications or similar. 

• Experience of liaising with a variety of individuals and organisations of all seniorities, internally and externally. 

• Experience of maintaining systems for information storage and retrieval.

• Experience of online communications/websites/social media, including Content Management Systems. 

• Experience delivering public-facing campaigns with a range of stakeholders.
