ROLE OVERVIEW:

This role is central to how we evolve our volunteering offer. The Volunteering Development Lead is responsible for designing and working with other teams to pilot new models of volunteering that help us reach more people, increase flexibility, and create meaningful opportunities for individuals to contribute in ways that suit them.

Working at the intersection of innovation, collaboration, and project delivery, the role will lead on developing new opportunities for volunteer involvement, creating training materials, and building internal capability to support new ways of volunteering. The post-holder will act as a connector across teams, identifying where volunteers can add value and supporting colleagues to confidently engage them. It’s a dynamic role that requires creativity, people skills, and a commitment to continuous improvement.

This role involves occasional travel and overnight stays to attend events, meetings.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design and develop new types of volunteering opportunities, ensuring they are accessible, purposeful, and meet both organisational and volunteer needs. Works closely with the Volunteering Experience Lead and Coordinator to ensure new roles are integrated and supported.
• Lead volunteering development projects, managing timelines, stakeholders, and outcomes to deliver high-quality results.
• Work closely with teams across the charity to identify where and how volunteers can be better utilised and supported.
• Develop and deliver training resources for new volunteering roles and approaches, supporting staff and volunteer leads.
• Champion inclusive and innovative volunteer practices, inspiring teams to adopt new ways of involving people.
• Embed good volunteer management principles across the organisation, building confidence and consistency in approach.

Transforming Lives for Good (TLG) are a national Christian charity working in partnership with local churches to bring struggling children hope and a future. Building on the huge success of TLG Early Intervention Coaching, TLG Therapeutic Support will be a new way for TLG, with partner churches, to provide support in school for the increasing number of pupils struggling to cope due to their emotional, relational, and mental health experiences. This programme addresses the underlying issues children are facing, whilst also providing the option of direct support to their parents/carers and the school staff team.

In this role we are looking for an individual that thrives working with children and young people in a school context and is passionate about supporting pupils and their families struggling with emotional, relational, and mental health challenges. The ideal candidate will be a qualified counsellor with an aptitude for creativity whether this is music and drama, sport and outdoor recreation or other fields of kinaesthetic development. The TLG Therapeutic Counsellor will be present each week in the school, providing specialist trauma aware care for these children, whilst supporting staff and parents/carers too, so we're looking for an individual who can build and foster strong relationships.

The Finance Officer will work within the Finance Department to provide essential day today financial processing, support and advice. The post-holder will be a key member of the team in keeping accurate and up to date records of the organisations financial activities on both the accounting system & associated files.

Key Responsibilities

• To be responsible for keeping up to date and accurate records of financial transactions on Excel and the accounting system

Join Oak Hill College's Facilities and Site Team

Oak Hill College is seeking a highly organised and detail-focused Facilities and Site Administrator toprovide vital administrative and coordination support across our estate, accommodation, and facilities services.

Reporting directly to the Facilities & Site Manager, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day systems that keep our site compliant and efficient. What’s the job?

In this exciting and varied role, you will take the lead in delivering commercial marketing initiatives that add real value to both students’ unions and our supplier partners. Working within the Commercial Development team, you’ll be responsible for planning and executing the activity against brand development programmes across key sectors including retail, catering, and licensed trade. These initiatives are designed not only to drive commercial returns, but also to deliver on the values and mission of NUS – putting ethical, sustainable, and student-focused outcomes at the heart of everything we do.

Your role will include working with the buyers to negotiate marketing activity with NUS-approved suppliers, ensuring that all initiatives are aligned with agreed budgets and the broader annual trading plan. You’ll be the key point of contact between suppliers and students’ unions, maintaining strong working relationships, identifying mutual opportunities, and ensuring each marketing activity is underpinned by a clear business case and measurable outcomes.

You will also play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our commercial partnerships. You’ll develop marketing plans for new and existing suppliers, and work closely with the Trading Manager and buyers to ensure continued investment in marketing activity that benefits students, unions, and brands alike.

Who you are

To succeed in this role, you’ll need significant experience in a business-to-business (B2B) sales or account management environment, as well as a strong track record of project delivery. You should be confident in negotiating and managing budgets, using data and insight to inform decisions, and pitching marketing ideas to external stakeholders.

We’re looking for someone who is commercially astute but also deeply values-led – someone who understands how ethical and sustainable business can thrive in a student-led environment. Strong interpersonal skills are essential, as you’ll be working with a diverse range of stakeholders from student officers to senior brand managers.

About Us

Here at Vision North Somerset, we support people who are visually and/or hearing impaired across North Somerset.  With around 1,500 people affected by sight loss and/or hearing loss in our county, we offer a range of support services to enable people to reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

Information, advice and guidance:

• Work one-on-one with adults and children with a visual impairment and their carers/ families, providing a comprehensive initial assessment in a person-centred, empathetic, and empowering manner.
• Provide internal and external referrals and deliver follow-up actions to enable maximum wellbeing for service users.
• Manage incoming and outgoing referrals internally and with a wide range of external providers, communicating promptly to manage cases effectively and safely.
• Work closely with team members and volunteers to collate and send Information Packs and other necessary communications such as appointment letters in accessible formats.
• Assess risks as needed and report any safeguarding concerns to the Safeguarding Lead.

Equipment:

• Be aware of and able demonstrate and advise on equipment for people with a visual impairment when needed and/or refer to other services.
• If needed during home/ care home visits, provide minor adaptations such as high visibility tape on steps or tactile markings on appliances.

Data management:

• Ensure that all service delivery to individuals and service user data is promptly and appropriately recorded and managed on the Vision North Somerset database, in accordance with procedures.
• Work with team members and volunteers to maintain accuracy of the Vision North Somerset service user database, including collecting data permissions and equality monitoring information from service users during visits.

Local networking and knowledge:

• Develop and maintain knowledge and resources on relevant services offered by organisations to people in North Somerset. Work with the Administrator to maintain records on online files and paper files (for example service leaflets).
• Occasionally attend local meetings, arrange meetings with staff from key local organisations or represent Vision North Somerset to develop mutual knowledge of local services.

· Maintain effective communication and positive working relationships with Vision North Somerset staff (and volunteers if appropriate).

About CoppaFeel!

CoppaFeel! are the UK’s only youth focused breast cancer awareness charity, and we’re on a mission to get every 18-24 year old checking their chest. We educate people on the signs of breast cancer and encourage them to check their chests monthly, so that if they notice something unusual they are empowered to contact their GP and advocate for themselves.

We do this because when diagnosed early, breast cancer treatments are more effective and survival rates are higher. Early detection can save lives.

Breast cancer does not need to be detected late, and as long as we are here and continue to be supported by people like you, we will do all we can to make sure this doesn’t continue to happen.

The Role

As Head of Finance and Contracts, you’ll oversee all aspects of financial management and contractual compliance across the charity. This is a hands-on role where you’ll be responsible for managing and developing our small finance team, while also leading on budgeting, funder reporting and forecasting. Alongside this, you’ll oversee the organisation’s contracts ensuring we’re operating in line with best practice and regulatory requirements.

This is a hybrid role, with the expectation that you will attend the London office 2 days per week. .

Duties and Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Management

• Line manage the Finance Officer and Finance Assistant, providing guidance, support, and performance oversight.
• Actively participate in Leadership Team meetings, contributing to the development and achievement of strategic objectives.
• Support the development of the team structure, driving delivery, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Provide data-driven insights and strategic recommendations to inform long-term decision-making and business growth.

Financial Strategy & Reporting

• Lead the annual budgeting and reforecasting process, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities.
• Oversee monthly management accounts; meet regularly with Heads of Department to monitor spend and evaluate impact.
• Support with the preparation draft statutory accounts and coordinate audit queries.
• Conduct financial analysis, working with HoDs to assess ROI across key projects and income streams.

Operational Finance

• Manage VAT returns, ensuring compliance with
• Assess risk mitigation approaches to balance financial safeguarding with delivery of organisational objectives.
• Oversee monthly payroll processing in partnership with the payroll agent and resolve payroll queries.
• Ensure the overall smooth running of day to day finances, and finance policy adoption/ adherence.
• Reviewing and maintaining Cashflow and working capital documents.

Funding & Grants

• Provide financial oversight and input for grant and corporate funding applications.

Governance & Legal Oversight

• Attend Finance Committee meetings when necessary and support preparation of required reporting materials.
• Work closely with the Director of Operations and legal advisers to review contracts for grants, fundraising licenses, or procurement—particularly where risk or value is high.
• Oversee supplier, corporate partnership and grant contracts, where highly complex working with solicitors for advice
• Develop, implement, and maintain financial policies and procedures to ensure robust internal controls.
• Stay informed on changes to relevant financial, legal, and regulatory requirements affecting the charity sector.

Skills, Experience and Qualifications

Essential

• Proven experience in charity finance, including budgeting, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and manage teams effectively.
• Strong knowledge of UK charity and company law.
• Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
• Experience in managing or coordinating audits, payroll processes, and implementing robust financial controls.
• High level of integrity, accountability, and strong attention to detail.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

CORE

• Contribute to CALM’s fundraising targets, through excellent event delivery, relationship management and supporter care

• Ensure all supporters receive excellent care from CALM, as well as completing all assigned admin tasks with a high degree of accuracy

• Confidently represent CALM at key meetings and events

• Be a data steward for fundraising, ensuring quality data management

SUPPORTER ENGAGEMENT AND STEWARDSHIP

• Support on delivery of the Challenge Events portfolio, ensuring Challenge Event Fundraisers are staying on track - such as completing registration forms on time, and setting up fundraising pages

• Provide general support to the Challenge Events Manager with event day delivery as required

• Represent CALM at Challenge Events, including acting as an Event Day Lead, and attending wider CALM events

• Work with the Challenge Events Manager and Event Fundraising Lead to develop our portfolio of events, analysing performance, identifying opportunities and putting ideas into action

• Steward CALM’s Challenge Event Fundraisers effectively throughout their journey when supporting CALM, to ensure they feel appreciated and inspired to fundraise for us

• Be the friendly voice of CALM, responding to enquiries through the website or phone in a timely manner

• Proactively craft and send personalised emails to fundraisers to drive retention and satisfaction

• Help with the management and optimisation of the Challenge Event email automated journeys used to steward participants in the lead up to and after their event

• Help to devise and manage our email marketing strategy to event participants 

• Deliver stewardship calls to Challenge Event Fundraisers - welcoming them to the team upon sign up, wishing them good luck before their event, or offering them fundraising guidance and support 

• Work across various income platforms to ensure fundraising pages and donations are correctly coded, including JustGiving and Enthuse

• Support on the maintenance of relevant pages on the CALM website

• Analyse feedback from fundraisers via our post event surveys and identify areas for improvement

• Engage with Fundraisers on our CALM Facebook groups - sparking conversation and fostering a supportive community atmosphere

• Recruit and manage volunteers to support at events

• Work with the wider organisation to improve processes and data management

• Support in other areas of Public Fundraising as required, including community fundraising and individual giving.
