We are working in partnership with Veterans Outreach Support (VOS), a well-known, award-winning, UK registered charity that supports those who have served our nation, in the Armed Forces and Merchant Navy, through the provision of welcoming and relaxed settings where UK veterans and family members can access welfare, wellbeing, and mental health support. VOS’s development has taken them well beyond these elements to a wide-ranging, person-centered one-stop shop that provides direct and holistic support.

VOS is now seeking a Head of Operations, who will directly support the Chief Executive by taking responsibility for the day-to-day operations of VOS, working in close cooperation with the Head of Care (Deputy CEO). In addition to managing the Operations Department, as well as overseeing business administration and people issues, the non-clinical, business-related contracts, the post-holder will be responsible for managing regulatory compliance, financial planning (with the VOS Finance Manager), and external relations, with delivery partners and other stakeholders, where they will also have representational duties, acting as lead for CRM implementation Health & Safety, and is the VOS Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead.

Key Responsibilities

ROLE SUMMARY

This vital role within the Landmark Trust’s fundraising team focuses on providing excellent supporter care to our donors and ensuring supporter data is well managed. As the first point of contact for fundraising-related enquiries, and the lead user of our database, you will play a key role in delivering a first-class supporter experience while ensuring the efficient operation of our fundraising systems.

We are looking for someone who takes pride in high-quality customer service, with excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and confidence in working with data and IT systems. You will be comfortable speaking with supporters on the phone, drafting personalised letters and emails, and managing a variety of administrative tasks. While fundraising experience isn’t essential, you should have experience in customer-facing roles and working with databases. An interest in heritage or the charity sector would be an advantage.

You’ll be responsible for ensuring that donations are accurately processed, donors are promptly and warmly thanked, and Gift Aid is maximised. Day-to-day, you’ll be recording donations, updating supporter records, and producing reports and data downloads from our Salesforce CRM. Full training in our systems will be provided.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Supporter Care

To respond to general fundraising enquiries by telephone, email and in writing, in a professional manner, seeking the guidance of colleagues as to the most appropriate response.

Ensure all donations are thanked and acknowledged quickly and appropriately, by yourself or the relevant contact manager.

Support other aspects of fundraising income administration, such the Patrons, Friends and regular giving schemes, and as required.

Record complaints, escalating as appropriate, and in line with complaints handling policy.

Support the administration of print and digital communications.

Occasionally attend and support the running of fundraising evening receptions, site visits, or new building openings– sometimes held over a weekend (time off in lieu will be given).

Supporter data, analysis and reporting

Record all donations and fundraising transactions on the Salesforce database, liaising with the finance team to provide relevant reports and daybooks for bank reconciliations.

Ensure that supporter contacts and database records are kept up to date and comply with data protection legislation and internal requirements.

Support the Finance team with Gift Aid best practice, including managing the integrity of current Gift Aid records and auditing past records.

Produce Salesforce reports to track donations, appeals, regular gifts, and memberships.

Extract contact data from Salesforce for segmentation, analysis and marketing, including appeals, raffle, event invitations and others, working to a brief from the relevant team member.

Ensure that Salesforce use by the team is continually developed and improved. Work with IT to select, onboard new database products, and hold workshops for team members around developments to maximise use of the supporter database.

Financial management

Administer the collection of all Direct Debit donations including membership payments (Friends & Patrons), regular givers, and Standing Orders.

Maintain the team’s annual income and expenditure monitoring spreadsheets, and project/restricted income monitoring, ensuring accuracy at all times and reconciliation with finance systems.

To be the main point of contact with the Finance team on day-to-day donation queries, including Gift Aid administration, chasing payments, and general donations questions.

Keep physical and electronic supporter filing up to date as required for audit purposes.

Manage the safe and proper handling of, and accounting for, income, to agreed deadlines.

Continually strive to improve margins and reduce costs as well as suggesting improvements in operating processes at a specific and general level.

NDAS provides support to all victims who have been the subject of domestic abuse/violence, supports them through the criminal justice system and offers relevant advice and assistance, both practical and emotional. 

NDAS empowers victims to make decisions, increase their options, their confidence and safety.  Prevention and awareness raising activities are also delivered across Northumberland and counselling to the children of our service users.

Purpose of the job

 You will be an important member of the Senior Management Team, supporting the CEO to drive income growth.  Key Accountabilities

1. You will work with the CEO to maintain and implement the Fundraising Strategy.

3. You are accountable for the management, performance and reporting on all income strands.

4. You will work with the CEO to produce a bi-monthly Funding Overview report and projected Income Generation Plans for consideration by the Finance Sub-Group and to be reported to the Board

Responsibilities:

 1. Planning, implementing and driving forwards the Fundraising Strategy with a focus on expanding the range and size of income sources.

2. Identify new funding streams from Trusts, Statutory agencies and corporates, and submit funding bids.

3. Manage Individual Giving and Legacies

4. With the CEO produce and maintain an Income Generation Plan with a timeline setting deadlines for the submission of funding applications

5. Work with the CEO and Finance Manager to manage the allocation of costs across the budget and to ensure delivery in line with funding requirements.

6. Work with the SMT to manage and monitor all outcomes associated with each funding stream.

7. Produce funding applications with informative narrative content and robust data

8.   Maintain a monitoring schedule and produce reports in line with funder/stakeholder requirements also with informative narrative content and robust data

9.   Maintain regular communication with funders and potential funders to build strong working relationships and increase funding opportunities

10. Support the CEO in developing strategic and operational plans for the organisation

11. Monitor and collate other outcomes and achievements of the organisation.

About Woman's Trust

Woman’s Trust was established almost thirty years ago and is the leading specialist in mental health services for women. Led by and for women, it aims to ensure that women affected by domestic abuse can live a safe and healthy life, free from further harm. Our approach is trauma-informed and person-centred, empowering survivors on their journey to recover from the trauma. We support 900 women and children annually, with an income of £1.3m and 40 staff. Alongside our current service provision, we are focused on developing innovative mental health services for young women and girls, launching peer-led support groups and providing therapeutic groups to children and their mothers. About the role

As our Temporary Finance Manager, you will be managing a finance assistant and will be part of our organisation’s Senior Leadership Team, helping to collaboratively shape and steer the charity as we work towards our 2022-2027 strategy. The Finance Manager is at the heart of Woman’s Trust; you will play an essential role and have oversight of not just the finance team - you will have direct exposure to CEO/Board Members and decision-making for the future of the organisation. 

We are looking for a highly motived Temporary Finance Manager with demonstrable experience working in a similar senior level role. You’ll be a fully or part qualified accountant e.g. CIMA/ACA/ACCA/Cipfa, with a thorough understanding of charity accounting.

Hours: Part-time, 28 hours per week.

Able to manage the day-to-day financial analysis and reporting requirements for Money Ready, and provide input for strategic financial planning. Using a business partnering model, ensure all budget holders are fully supported in their roles. Responsible for the delivery of all management accounts, budget, forecasts and donor reporting as well as the annual statutory accounts. The Senior Finance Manager will be a member of the SMT. This role will lead or contribute to the implementation of new financial systems, tools, or procedures that improve efficiency, compliance, and transparency.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensures the timely and accurate production of all management and annual accounts and all forecasts in accordance with best practise and statutory requirements.
• A key business partner who provides value added business support and financial insight to the SMT and colleagues throughout the Charity.
• Provides financial insight to development team to assist with fundraising bids, prepare donor budgets, and ensure donor reporting and compliance throughout the grant life cycle.

• Responsible for fortnightly payment runs processing. Supervise and assist with the sale invoices processing and regular credit control. Monthly reconciliation of all Money Ready’s bank accounts.
• Responsible for monthly payroll including monthly and annual RTI reporting to HMRC, pensions payments, annual payroll processing and relevant reconciliations.
• Work with auditors on preparing the audit strategy and manage annual audit process, providing all the relevant paperwork during the audit process.
• Be a positive change champion for the organisation, identifying key impact areas and priorities and supporting change programmes and strategies in both finance and across the Union as a whole.
• Prepare quarterly VAT returns with reconciliations and reporting. Line management, objective setting and performance reviews for direct report.
• Establish and maintain a robust internal controls environment that is fit for purpose but uses a risk-based approach to the establishment of processes and procedures.

Personal Specification

• You will need to show;
• Experience Substantial experience in a finance or accounting role (including at management level) in a not-for profit organisation.
• Substantial experience in the preparation of monthly management accounts and year end accounts.
• Substantial experience in processing monthly payroll using QuickBooks Payroll and Sage Payroll.

This is your opportunity to join Refuge as a Deputy Helpline Manager, to lead, plan and deliver this incredible service to ensure that it supports as many women as possible in line with Refuge’s strategic vision.

Refuge’s National Domestic Abuse Helpline provides a first point of contact and a national gateway to services across the UK for women fleeing domestic violence and other forms of violence and abuse. The helpline will be handling 144,000 calls per year, and is constantly developing and expanding the ways that women can safety reach out for support exploring technological innovation. It offers a gateway for women and children experiencing domestic abuse by providing support, signposting, referrals and information about the services available to them.

The Deputy Helpline Manager will be working as part of a management team, leading, planning and delivering the service to ensure that it supports as many women as possible in line with Refuge’s strategic vision. They will be directly responsible for a large team of helpline staff and sessional workers and will work alongside the Volunteer Coordinators to support with the recruitment, training, induction and development of a large volunteer team.

As part of this role, you will be required to participate in an out-of-hours on call rota.

About Quest for Learning
Quest for Learning is an education charity on a mission to close the gap for primary school children in Oxfordshire who are falling behind - often due to complex and compounding disadvantage. Many of the children we support are growing up in poverty, with limited access to books, low parental literacy, and challenging home environments. Some face health inequalities, live in areas affected by crime, or have recently arrived in the UK as refugees or asylum seekers.

We work closely with schools to provide targeted, high-impact literacy and numeracy programmes that give these children the chance to catch up, thrive, and believe in their potential. On average, our small-group tutoring helps pupils make 13 months of progress in just 10 hours - building not only essential skills, but also confidence, motivation, and a renewed sense of possibility.

The impact extends well beyond the classroom. Role Purpose

This is a hands-on and outward-facing role for a confident, capable fundraiser ready to lead Quest for Learning’s income generation efforts. As our sole dedicated fundraiser, you’ll take ownership of securing income across a broad mix of streams - including trusts and foundations, community fundraising, individual giving, and corporate partnerships.

You’ll be out and about representing the charity, building relationships with local businesses, community groups, and supporters, and bringing our mission to life with energy and clarity. You'll need to be a proactive self-starter who enjoys meeting people, thrives in a varied role, and is motivated by delivering results that improve life chances for disadvantaged children.

This is a busy and varied role which often involves working on multiple fundraising activities at once. A typical day could include working on an application to a new funder, designing a supporter newsletter, gathering information for an end of grant report, and researching new prospects.

This role would suit someone with experience of securing funding, managing funder relationships, and developing new opportunities - all with a focus on practical delivery. You’ll work closely with the CEO, leadership and programme teams, and our board of trustees to help grow a diverse and sustainable income base.

Key Responsibilities

Trusts and foundations

• Research and identify prospective funders, building a robust pipeline
• Write and submit compelling, tailored funding applications
• Deliver timely, high-quality reports with evidence of impact
• Build and maintain strong relationships with funders through clear, proactive stewardship
• Monitor success rates and financial information and adapt strategy to improve performance

Community fundraising

• Initiate and grow partnerships with local community groups (e.g. WIs, Rotary clubs, schools, churches)
• Support or coordinate local fundraising events and campaigns (e.g. fun runs, quizzes, coffee mornings)
• Attend community events to represent the charity and engage new supporters
• Equip and support individuals and groups to fundraise on our behalf

Corporate partnerships and other earned income

• Build relationships with local and regional businesses to secure sponsorship, gifts-in-kind or Charity of the Year support

• Work with the CEO and board to identify and cultivate prospects

Individual Giving and supporter engagement

We are looking for a Maintenance Team Member interested in being part of a vital team helping to support the day to day running of our properties for vulnerable families accessing our children’s hospice care, who has experience of working within maintenance environment. Ideally the successful candidate will possess some form of maintenance skill/qualification/experience (Painting & Decorating/Carpentry /Plumbing skills etc).

There is an out of hours “On Call” element to this position whereby the successful candidate will be required to go onto the “On Call” rota shared among other members of the maintenance team.

A full UK driving licence is essential as some work will take place at satellite sites.
