About the Role

Time commitment

Stepping Stones Learning and Leisure is a small, friendly charity based in Southwark, providing inclusive activities for adults with learning disabilities. We believe everyone should have the chance to express themselves, connect with others, and take part in activities that bring joy, confidence, and new skills. 

We’re looking for an enthusiastic and proactive Dance Fit Class Volunteer to support our weekly Thursday afternoon classes (1pm-3pm), held at St Faith’s Community Centre, Red Post Hill, SE24 9JQ (close to North Dulwich and Herne Hill stations). 

About Dance Fit

Dance Fit is a fun way to stay active through music and movement. Sessions are designed to improve fitness, flexibility and confidence in a supportive and enjoyable environment. Routines and exercises can be performed standing or seated, making the sessions accessible for everyone. The group learns simple routines that can also be practised at home, and each July learners have the opportunity to perform to friends and family at our Summer Show!

About The Role 

This role is ideal for someone who loves to move. You’ll support our tutor in delivering inclusive and fun classes for a small group of adults with learning disabilities. Every class is an opportunity for the learners to express themselves freely, socialise with others and feel the benefits of physical activity on their wellbeing.

As a Dance Fit Class Volunteer at Stepping Stones, you will: 

• Assist the tutor in setting up and closing down the studio space
• Encourage and support learners 
• Demonstrate movements
• Offer 1:1 or group support where needed to help participants engage 
• Help build a warm, inclusive atmosphere where everyone feels safe to express themselves

Volunteer with the MS Society Help Hub

Do you want to make a real difference to people affected by MS?

Our MS Help Hub is a national service that supports around 20,000 enquiries every year, providing trusted information and emotional support to people living with MS, their families, friends and carers.

We’re looking for compassionate and supportive volunteers to join our national team and help ensure no one has to face MS alone.

As a home based MS Help Hub Volunteer, you’ll provide emotional support and practical information through telephone conversations. You’ll help people access services, resources and support in a welcoming, non-judgemental environment.

You don’t need to have all the answers. Full training, ongoing support and guidance from staff, other volunteers and specialists will be provided throughout your volunteering journey. (Information on training dates can be found below)

Join our passionate volunteer community and help make sure no one has to face MS alone.

Time commitment

This flexible, home-based role involves an agreed commitment of three volunteering hours each week, plus attendance at monthly team meetings.

Preferred cover times are Monday to Friday between 11am and 1pm, although all availability will be considered. The Help Hub operates Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm.

Training

Training will consist of online modules, each taking between 30-90 minutes which will be delivered on Tuesdays and Thursdays, am and pm, every week during July and August. Time Commitment

Role Summary

The volunteer kitchen support (deputy cook) supports the delivery of Evergreen Care UK’s community café services. You will work alongside the Cook and wider team to help create a welcoming, well-run environment where people feel connected and included.

A key part of this role is providing occasional cover for the Cook, helping ensure the café can continue to run smoothly. You will be supported by the wider team when doing so.

This role is designed to provide additional support and occasional cover. The overall responsibility for service delivery remains with Evergreen Care UK staff.

About the Role

The HR Programme Manager is a strategic leadership role responsible for overseeing the HR Programme and managing the HR Liaison. This position ensures the successful delivery of the HR Programme, aligning it with organisational goals and fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth. The Programme Manager will work closely with senior leadership, Heads of Department (HoDs), and the HR Liaison to design, implement, and refine the programme, ensuring it meets the needs of participants and the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Oversight of the HR Programme

• Develop and execute the strategic vision for the HR Programme, ensuring alignment with organisational objectives.
• Collaborate with the Director: HRBP, Legal, IT & HR Programme to define programme goals, KPIs, and success metrics.
• Continuously evaluate and refine the programme to address emerging needs and industry trends.

2. Team Leadership & Management

• Manage and mentor the HR Liaison, providing guidance and support to ensure effective programme execution.
• Foster a collaborative and results-driven team culture, encouraging innovation and accountability.

3. Stakeholder Engagement

• Build and maintain strong relationships with Heads of Department (HoDs) and external partners to ensure programme relevance and impact.
• Act as the primary point of contact for senior stakeholders, providing regular updates on programme progress and outcomes.

4. Programme Design & Implementation

• Oversee the design and delivery of HR Programme content, ensuring it meets the developmental needs of participants.
• Coordinate with internal and external facilitators to deliver high-quality training sessions, workshops, and resources.
• Ensure the integration of feedback from participants and stakeholders to enhance programme effectiveness.

5. Monitoring & Evaluation

• Establish a robust monitoring and evaluation framework to track participant progress and programme impact.
• Analyse data to identify trends, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.
• Prepare comprehensive reports for senior leadership, highlighting achievements, challenges, and recommendations.

6. Communication & Advocacy

• Promote the HR Programme across the organisation, ensuring high visibility and engagement.

Every year our fantastic HR Advice Line volunteers speak to hundreds women and parents experiencing challenges or pregnancy and maternity discrimination at work. The Advice Line provides hours of free support and HR advice every week, however the demand for the service is high and we know that getting through can be difficult. That’s why we’re trialling a new online Advice Forum to help improve access to support and flexibility of our volunteer roles. But before we can make the forum public, we need to bring in a team of volunteers who are ready and waiting to answer questions. 

We are looking for knowledgable HR professionals who want to tackle the Motherhood Penaltyand support mothers and parents by becoming an Advice Forum Volunteer.

As a volunteer advisor you’ll give an hour a week of your time to respond to questions on the Advice Forum. You’ll use your HR knowledge and experience to respond to posts and give advice that can help people identify and challenge pregnancy and maternity discrimination in the workplace. You’ll also be joining us at the start of this brand new service and will have an essential role in helping us monitor, evaluate and learn from the forum trial, with the goal of establishing it as a permanent PTS Support Service.

Time Commitment

The Advice Forum will be available online 24/7, and so volunteering as a forum advisor is flexible and can fit around your schedule. We ask that you are able to commit at least one hour a week for a minimum of three months.

Main Role Purpose

Advice Forum Volunteers play a vital role in providing accessible support and guidance to working parents facing unfair treatment or discrimination in the workplace. Volunteers will respond to forum questions and posts, offering advice and signposting information about employee rights. You will also coordinate with the PTS staff team and other volunteers to ensure all forum questions are responded to, and will have the opportunity to contribute to the forum’s development.

Essential requirements

• Minimum CIPD level 5 Diploma in People Management with one professional reference.
• Knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and policies related to pregnancy, maternity leave, and discrimination.
• Access to a reliable and secure WIFI or Internet connection and a mobile device or computer/laptop.
• Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and concisely.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
• Comfortable using online communication tools.
• Commitment to completing all required volunteer training.

• Respond to forum questions from individuals seeking support and advice.
• Provide HR advice and guidance in a clear and concise way to support forum users with their enquiries.
• Signpost to further information and other support organisations if necessary.

The Professional Development Programme with Quilombo UK and QMC Capoeira School runs over a period of 16 weeks, is UNPAID and requires a minimum of 12 hours commitment per week across Monday, Wednesday and/or Friday.

Upon successful application, our HR team will contact you to arrange an interview. Following a successful interview, we'll initiate the onboarding process by sending you the necessary documents. Once your onboarding and identification documents are received and verified, you'll be invited to a 6-hour HR and System Induction.
