About the opportunity

Working closely with the Head of Legal, Risk, and Assurance, you'll lead our internal audit arrangements and counter fraud strategy, ensuring they're fit for purpose, professional, and valued by stakeholders from operational teams right through to our Board of Trustees. You'll be the go-to expert on assurance across our Finance & Assurance directorate.

You'll oversee the delivery of our internal audit plan, deputise for the Head when needed, and provide independent assurance on the effectiveness of our controls, risk management, and governance. You'll also lead and develop our Assurance team, creating a high-challenge, high-support environment where people thrive and performance drives impact.

From promoting an effective counter fraud culture to investigating incidents and driving continuous improvement, you'll bring strategic thinking, technical expertise, and a solutions-focused approach to everything you do. You'll keep ahead of sector trends, champion best practice, and help us stay credible, resilient, and ready for what's next.

About you:

You're an experienced Internal Auditor who's operated at a senior level in a similar complex organisation. You've led audit teams, deputised for a Chief Audit Executive, and know what it takes to deliver assurance that's professional, credible, and genuinely adds value.

You're an effective communicator who builds strong relationships at every level, balances assertiveness with collaboration, and creates environments where teams thrive.

You'll have:

- Experience as a practicing Internal Auditor operating at a senior level working within an internal audit team, with a proven track record of leading audit teams and deputising for a Chief Audit Executive.
- Ability to provide strategic internal audit advice and contribute to risk-based audit planning.
- Experience drafting professional, high-quality reports for Boards, Committees, and Executive Management.
- Broad knowledge of internal audit methodologies, risk assessment, and control frameworks.
- Knowledge of counter fraud methodologies, processes, investigations, and relevant legislation.
- Experience in Counter Fraud activities and knowledge of Charity Commission guidance on fraud protection and the Code of Fundraising Practice would be advantageous.
- Relevant Internal Audit qualification or equivalent experience - we'll support professional study for the right candidate.

The Children's Society has been helping children and young people in this country for over 140 years. We run local services that support children when they are at their most vulnerable and in desperate need of help. We're there for children, every step of the way.

This role sits within our Nottinghamshire Service which works with and supports children and young people involved in and/or vulnerable to sexual exploitation/criminal exploitation and those young people that have required therapeutic support. We also have parent/carer support in place to emotionally support parents and carers that are impacted by exploitation and to raise awareness and increase understanding to enable to them to increase protection for their children.

We also deliver work around 'systems change' that challenge the barriers that exist within professional systems and processes that may increase further risk and harm for young people. The project supports young people who are wishing to exit the abusive and exploitative relationships/situations they find themselves involved/forced into. It also works preventatively with children and young people in a variety of settings as well as offering training and information sessions to groups of professionals regarding sexual exploitation.

We are currently looking for a creative and resilient person to join our dynamic, ambitious team.

A key part of this role will be your ability to build positive relationships with individual young people by providing intensive one to one support and group work interventions in order to reduce harm and develop their emotional resilience.

About the role:

You will act as subject matter expert to deliver a best-in-class business planning and budgeting process that leads us into delivering on our strategic plan.

• Deliver a collaborative annual planning and budgeting process that ensures delivery of the business and financial strategy and re-forecasts as required. 

 Accounting and Performance Management: 

• Produce monthly and quarterly management accounts to deadlines for review by the Head of Finance / CFO, identifying key variances and issues affecting financial performance, whilst looking for improvement opportunities. 

• To deliver a periodic reporting process that is timely and accurate, engaging with heads of departments (budget holders) to build on and develop existing reporting. 

• To contribute to the preparation of the Annual Report and Accounts and associated audit processes.

• To provide analysis of income, charitable expenditure, support, governance and other costs with meaningful commentary and trend analysis.

• Support any shift in operating model, so that Motability maintains clear sight of its impact and value for money.

 Payroll:

Your experience:

Must haves:  

• Recognised CCAB Accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA).

What could my day look like?

The Education Worker role is a frontline, fast-paced and rewarding role where no two weeks will look the same. A typical day will have different activities, possibly spread between the IntoUniversity centre, partner schools and the offices of a corporate partner.

In the morning, you might be setting off with resources to run a workshop for sixth-form students in their secondary school. In the afternoon you may be setting up the classroom ahead of running Primary Academic Support for young people in your IntoUniversity centre. On other days, you may be travelling to a corporate partner to run a business simulation workshop for 15 year-olds or leading a group of final year primary school students on a campus visit for their graduation.

As an Education Worker, you’ll always be delivering the programme as part of your centre team, which means that any delivery is always a team effort. 

We’re looking for an experienced philanthropy professional who’s ready to take their next step. You’ll bring at least five years of building and managing high-value donor relationships, ideally with philanthropists, though experience with trusts, foundations, or corporate partners is also valuable. You’ll have a strong track record of securing five- and six-figure gifts and achieving ambitious income targets.

As a confident leader, you’ll have experience managing and developing fundraising staff, and you’ll be comfortable navigating the international development funding landscape, with an interest in sustainability, agroecology, or locally led development. You’ll be a natural networker who can build authentic relationships with stakeholders at every level.

BIAS is a leading local Irish charity which has supported England’s largest community in Brent for over 45 years. We deliver our support across London through our welfare advice drop-in service, our active ageing clubs and our Be-a-Friend volunteer scheme. This is an exciting new role in which you will proactively generate and grow fundraising income across all fundraising streams to enable us to continue supporting the most vulnerable members of the Irish community. You will support our fundraising strategy by contributing to digital communications and creative content across all channels, in cooperation with project delivery teams. The role will play a central part in raising awareness and growing supporter engagement through digital  campaigns, donor events, individual giving initiatives and the development of relationships with local businesses.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deliver BIAS’s community fundraising strategy.
• Develop and implement a varied portfolio of events, community fundraising activities and campaigns, all of which reflect the spirit of BIAS.
• Explore marketing opportunities to raise the profile of the charity.
• Ensure relevant processes are in place to deliver successful, profitable community fundraising activities.
• Oversee the management of fundraising systems and platforms in order to create the best possible experience for donors and participants.
• Develop a robust supporter journey for community fundraisers which leaves them with an excellent experience and generates a long-term relationship with BIAS.

To achieve these objectives, the post holder will be expected to:

• Plan, budget, coordinate and attend an annual community fundraising and events calendar with set objectives, budgets and KPIs for each activity.
• Regularly review the performance of fundraising activities/events, making  recommendations for improvement.
• Build and maintain a variety of community relationships across varying stakeholders.
• Explore and coordinate fundraising opportunities such as online donation platforms, auction platforms and text-to- donate services.
• Work with colleagues to ensure that all events are adequately supported with staff, volunteers and post-event debriefs.
• Ensure that all events and activities are compliant with the Code of Fundraising Practice, GDPR and internal policies.

This job description reflects the basic duties required of the Fundraising Manager. However, it is necessary for all staff to be flexible and you may be required from time to time to perform other reasonable duties which are required for the efficient running of the organisation. What we’re looking for…

• Experience of designing and delivering successful community fundraising events, campaigns and activities, preferably with a track record of at least two years.
• Excellent organisational and administrative skills, including budget and project management.
• Ability to build excellent working relationships, especially with supporters and partners.
• Strong team player who will ensure clear and regular communication with the BIAS management team.
• Ability to keep calm under pressure and maintain a clear head, anticipating risks and problems.
• A willingness to adapt and be flexible.
• Ability to travel.
• Competent user of Microsoft Office suite, with experience of CRM systems.
• Empathy and an understanding of the Irish community.

Exciting opportunity for an ambitious person to make a real difference for nature!

This role will work with the Land Manager (West) on the delivery of practical improvements for wildlife across GWT nature reserves and throughout Nature Recovery Zones (NRZs) in the west of the county (Lower Wye Valley, Central Forest of Dean, Severn Hams, Leadon Vale) with workshops at Tidenham Chase, Coleford and Gloucester. Habitats include heathlands, ancient woodland, species-rich unimproved grasslands, floodplain meadows, hay meadows, quarry pits, mires and more.

This role will help to mentor Wild Trainees, and work with volunteer teams to help deliver work plan objectives.

An important part of this role will be supporting the trusts conservation grazing objectives with native and hardy breeds of livestock including Highland cattle, Exmoor ponies and Hebridean sheep.

This is a permanent, full-time post (35 hours per week) subject to a six-month probationary period.

• Proven experience managing CRO programmes and leading teams.
• Strong knowledge of CRO principles, A/B testing and experimentation frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with GA4 and familiarity with HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
• Proficiency with CRO and analytics tools such as Hotjar and VWO (or similar).
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills with the ability to turn complex data into actionable insights.
