About CoppaFeel!

CoppaFeel! are the UK’s only youth focused breast cancer awareness charity, and we’re on a mission to get every 18-24 year old checking their chest. We educate people on the signs of breast cancer and encourage them to check their chests monthly, so that if they notice something unusual they are empowered to contact their GP and advocate for themselves.

We do this because when diagnosed early, breast cancer treatments are more effective and survival rates are higher. Early detection can save lives.

Breast cancer does not need to be detected late, and as long as we are here and continue to be supported by people like you, we will do all we can to make sure this doesn’t continue to happen.

The Role

We’re excited to be creating a new Head of People role to support the next phase of our charity’s development. The role provides strategic leadership, expert input and operational oversight of CoppaFeel!’s people, culture and employment practices, aligned with organisational strategy, values and governance.

Blending strategic leadership with hands-on delivery, the role operates with professional autonomy within the People remit and works in close partnership with the Director of Operations, who retains overall accountability. You will support senior leaders, strengthen organisational culture and ensure people practices are consistent, inclusive and effective as the organisation evolves.

This role sits within the Operations Department, reports into the Director of Operations and line manages the HR Manager. This is a hybrid role, with two days per week in our London office. The role is full-time but will consider part-time.

Duties and Responsibilities 

The responsibilities below set out the primary scope of the role, but are not an exhaustive list. The successful candidate will have the flexibility to shape future needs, build capacity and respond to organisational growth. 

• Develop, implement and deliver CoppaFeel!’s People Strategy to support organisational priorities, providing expert input into strategic decision making and organisational planning.
• Lead strategic workforce planning including succession planning  to identify and plan for  the charity’s future .
• Establish, monitor and report on key people metrics and performance indicators, using data and insight to evaluate effectiveness, inform continuous improvement and support evidence based decision making for the Leadership team,  SMT and , where appropriate, Trustees.
• Define, monitor and be accountable for the effectiveness of all people related functions, including recruitment and inclusion, retention, engagement, leadership capability and overall employee experience.
• Act as a trusted adviser to the Senior Leadership Team and senior managers, providing expert guidance and organisational insight informed by feedback from across the organisation.
• Fulfill the responsibilities of a Head of Department, including accountability for delivery and outcomes, role modelling CoppaFeel!’s leadership behaviours and contributing to effective organisational decision making.
• Act as senior lead for complex employee relations issues and provide expert guidance on best practice.
• Develop and coach managers and leaders across the organisation to embed a culture of high performance and accountability. 
• Ensure HR practices are consistent, equitable and legally compliant.
• Maintain, develop , implement and communicate People Policies, processes and systems,  ensuring clarity and accessibility for all staff.

• Support the Director of Operations in managing people related risk, and reporting, contributing to SMT, CEO and Trustee level oversight as required.

Skills, Experience and Qualifications 

Essential

• CIPD Level 5 minimum (Level 7 desirable).
• Significant HR generalist experience at senior advisory or lead level.
• Experience designing and implementing HR policies, frameworks and people processes.
• Experience leading EDI, culture or wellbeing initiatives.
• Strong understanding of UK employment law and GDPR.
• Confident communicator with the ability to build trusted relationships across all levels.

This is an exciting role with scope for learning and development, training opportunities, and partnership work. The post holder will play a key part in continuing to develop this external partnership, representing Refuge, and building strong and sustainable relationships to promote a collaborative approach to reaching the best outcomes for survivors of abuse.

Designated Safeguarding Lead

6 month fixed term contract
£38,000 - £41,000 FTE

Charity People are seeking an experienced and confident Designated Safeguarding Lead to join a charity on an interim basis for six months. This is a vital role supporting adults across a wide range of community and specialist services. The postholder will provide expert safeguarding leadership, ensure safe practice, and offer guidance to staff working with vulnerable adults who present with complex needs. This position is required urgently due to the upcoming departure of our current safeguarding lead, so it would be ideal to have a handover period. There is potential for the role to evolve into a broader position as they continue to develop their approach across the organisation.

The Designated Safeguarding Lead will act as the first point of escalation for safeguarding concerns and provide clear, timely advice to staff and managers. The role combines day to day operational safeguarding oversight with longer term development of governance, compliance, and safe practice across services in Surrey. You will work closely with frontline teams, service managers, and the Director of Services to support safeguarding decision making, identify risk, and maintain consistent high standards across all services. This is a hands-on role that requires visibility, relationship building, and confidence working within a busy and diverse organisation.

Key responsibilities:

• Provide expert safeguarding advice on cases
• Oversee safeguarding processes, audits, compliance, and record keeping
• Support staff who may have lower confidence in managing safeguarding concerns
• Escalate cases appropriately to external agencies including MASH, Adult Social Care, and other statutory partners
• Attend key safeguarding meetings and represent the service within local networks
• Identify training needs and support the delivery of safeguarding training and refreshers
• Build relationships across all services and attend team meetings and reflective practice sessions
• Contribute to the development of safe practice across the organisation
• Offer resilience, guidance, and emotional support to staff dealing with complex or distressing cases

You will bring substantial safeguarding experience, ideally within adult services, and hold a minimum Level 3 safeguarding qualification. You will be confident in managing complex cases and navigating multi agency processes.

You will be comfortable working in fast paced environments, able to hold a mixture of reactive and proactive responsibilities, and bring resilience, sound judgement, and a calm approach when supporting staff and service managers. Experience in mental health, outreach, domestic abuse, trauma informed practice, criminal justice, or community support services will be an advantage.

You will bring:

• Significant safeguarding experience and confidence working with adults at risk
• Level 3 safeguarding qualification as a minimum (Essential)
• Strong understanding of safeguarding legislation and statutory processes
• Ability to provide clear guidance and hold others to account
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build trust quickly
• Full driving licence and access to a vehicle for business use
• Willingness to work some evenings or occasional weekends where service need requires (TOIL provided)
• Travel across Surrey is (Essential)

The Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Roundhouse’s fundraising team as a Corporate Partnerships Manager on a temporary basis,to cover a period of maternity leave. The role will suit an individual looking to gain experience working with a broad and varied portfolio of Corporate Partners. 

Reporting to the Senior Corporate Partnerships Manager, this is a key role within the team. We are looking for candidates who have experience delivering complex and multi-faceted partnerships and are adept at building meaningful and lasting relationships with donors.

Occasional weekend and evening work will be required according to business needs.

The successful candidate must have experience in commercial account management or corporate partnerships. They will possess the ability to think creatively and be a passionate and compelling communicator with the ability to build strong relationships.

​The Fund’s digital live service is the front door to our communities. It encompasses the key touchpoints that users engage with on a daily basis to access our funding. You will have responsibility for managing the Fund’s digital live service on a day to day basis This includes ensuring it consistently meets business needs and user expectations. You will also have the opportunity to help improve our service.

​You will be part of our Digital team. We’re a multi-disciplinary team, working to user-led design principles. You will work with other designers, product managers, developers, and colleagues from the rest of the Fund to ensure that our live service is performing to agreed standards.
