ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for an experienced and committed individual to join us as a Start Fund Programme Officer, a critical role supporting the implementation of the global Start Fund. As Start Fund Programme Officer you will work with a wide range of stakeholders within the Start Network, supporting members on accessing Start Fund particularly for Anticipatory and Early Actions. You will also be responsible for project and team administration, such as processing of disbursements and record keeping of all project documents. We are looking for a high-calibre candidate who will enjoy working each day with young people and who will thrive in a frontline, community-based, fast-paced and rewarding role. You will be taking up a permanent role as Centre Leader at one of our IntoUniversity centres in London. You will have responsibility for running your IntoUniversity centre, including managing your team, planning and delivering the programme, liaising with external stakeholders and meeting IntoUniversity’s targets for delivery.

Location

About the Role
We are looking for an experienced community manager enthusiastic about engaging our supporters, volunteers and fundraisers. About the role

What you’ll do
As Facilities Co-ordinator, you’ll be the go-to person for all things facilities-related at our Ewell office and London City Hub. You’ll also provide remote support to our central charity branches nationwide, helping maintain safe, efficient, and welcoming environments for staff and volunteers.
This is a hands-on, varied role where no two days are the same. From managing contractors and maintenance schedules to supporting health and safety compliance and coordinating office moves, you’ll be central to the success of our Facilities & Projects team.

About the role
Reporting in to the Church & Supporter Engagement Lead, the Church Engagement & Fundraising Advisor will lead and inspire a team of Church Engagement & Fundraising Officers, ensuring exceptional stewardship and engagement with churches, Christian Aid groups,
and the wider public to support Christian Aid’s values and goals.
The post-holder will oversee the stewardship of existing churches, re-engage lapsed supporters, and acquire new ones while equipping and motivating supporters to give, act, and pray against global poverty and injustice.
Some of the main responsibilities of the Church Engagement & Fundraising Advisor will include:
- Management of a team of Church Engagement & Fundraising Officers, fostering a collaborative mindset and creating an environment that promotes the exchange of ideas and knowledge.
- Build trusted relationships with churches, groups, and individuals, ensuring strong connections between teams for effective stewardship and seamless information-sharing.
- Actively identify and engage the most supportive churches across England, inspiring them to give, act, and pray with Christian Aid through tailored programmes of activity.
- Development and delivery of impactful plans to engage our existing supporting churches in key appeals and campaigns.
- Cultivate a culture of continuous learning in relation to supporter care, including communications with supporters, with a focus on Christian Aid Week, Christmas, emergency appeals and priority campaigns.
- Recruit and empower volunteers to build capacity and deliver maximum impact, modelling accountability and striving for cost-effective solutions that streamline decision-making and foster consensus.
- Representation at Christian events, conferences and festivals, aimed at raising our profile with church audiences, maintaining support with our existing churches, and growing prospective churches to support Christian Aid and maximise our impact.

Our Senior Individual Giving Acquisition Officer will develop, test, learn and grow our fundraising acquisition programme. Purpose of the role:

Required skills, knowledge and qualifications
- A minimum of 1 years experience in the youth work sector.

- Strong empathy and a person centred approach.
- Excellent written and communication skills.
- A strong understanding of the principles of youth work as a distinctive practice of informal education and voluntary participation.
- An informed understanding of inclusive practice, with an enthusiasm to learn more and share your knowledge.
