About The Role
We are seeking an ambitious and motivated Fundraising Manager, working 35 hours per week, to join our Growth and Partnerships team. Working closely with the Head of Growth & Partnerships, you will play a key role in delivering and developing NYAS’s fundraising strategy, helping to grow and diversify income across trusts and foundations, corporate partnerships, community fundraising and individual giving.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced fundraiser who enjoys both strategic and hands-on work. About You
We are looking for a skilled fundraising professional with experience securing income from a range of fundraising streams, including trusts and foundations, corporate partnerships, community fundraising and/or individual giving.
You will have excellent written communication skills and experience producing persuasive funding applications, reports and donor communications. You will also have strong organisational skills, the ability to manage multiple priorities and experience supporting or supervising others within a fundraising environment.
You will be confident building relationships with internal and external stakeholders and able to use data and insight to inform fundraising activity and demonstrate impact. Experience using CRM systems and fundraising platforms is essential, alongside a good understanding of fundraising regulations and best practice.

Cavernoma Alliance UK is a well-established UK charity supporting people affected by cavernoma, a rare condition involving clusters of abnormal blood vessels in the brain or spinal cord.
Founded in 2005 by people with lived experience of cavernoma, we provide peer support, trusted information, awareness raising and research advocacy for the cavernoma community. We also work closely with leading neurologists, neurosurgeons and researchers across the UK to help improve clinical care, information and research for people affected.
We are now looking for a new Chief Executive to lead and be an ambassador for the work of CAUK. This is a meaningful and varied role in a small charity where your contribution will be visible. Purpose of the role
To deliver the Day One Casework bedside model to patients, or those closest to them, impacted by serious or multiple injuries which could result in life changing consequences, such as disability or death, within Salford Northern Care Alliance, providing support on some of the wards (such as rehabilitation), on-site clinics and other settings (e.g. rehabilitation centres).
Have a visible physical presence within the Trust, becoming embedded into clinical teams focussing on major trauma pathways, facilitating outpatient and in-person legal clinics.
To work closely with those impacted by serious and life-changing injury, taking referrals and carrying out initial assessments of need, expertly navigating, signposting and putting services in place in the immediate aftermath of major trauma, including talking about and facilitating timely access to legal support to aid rehabilitation.
To establish and develop relationships with key stakeholders to promote Day One and address the needs of those affected by serious and life-changing injury.
To work as part of the wider Day One Service’s team and organisation, taking responsibility for own record keeping and data collection in line with regulatory requirements.
Key responsibilites:

Work closely, and in partnership, with NHS clinical staff and relevant community and voluntary sector organisations, to address the needs of patients, and those closest to them, affected by serious and life-changing injury.

Operate a case management approach to individuals, assessing and identifying needs, putting support in place including signposting, making referrals and direct support.

Provide consistency in assessment of all patients and their loved ones, irrespective of injury cause, age, status, giving access to the earliest possible specialist legal advice which supports rehabilitation and NHS cost recovery.

Maintain detailed case records, including accurate records of activity and intervention, using Day One’s Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system, capturing and storing data in line with Day One policies and procedures and regulatory requirements.

Implement processes and procedures to collect patient and family feedback and contribute to ongoing monitoring and evaluation of Day One services through providing relevant information, case studies and reports.

The VCS Alliance
The VCS Alliance is a charity dedicated to transforming health and social care across Bradford District and Craven. To do this, we act as a bridge between the Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise (VCSE) sector and the Bradford District and Craven Health and Care Partnership, channelling investment into the sector, to deliver transformational programmes. The Training Trainer supports the Training Manager in the design and delivery of specialist, evidence-informed trainings programmes for professionals supporting bereaved children, young people and parents across health, social care, community, voluntary and private sectors.

We also help with vital access to legal, medical and educational services. We are a community with the shared goals of creating a just asylum system, and a fair and welcoming society for all refugees.

All of Care4Calais' operations are supported by a small, dedicated staff team, who supervise large volunteer teams to provide critical support to asylum seekers and people on the move in both the UK and France.
About the role
The UK Operations team provides essential psychosocial support to people seeking safety through practical services; such as running distributions, delivering English classes and drop ins, as well as activities to promote wellbeing such as trips and sports activities.
The UK Field Operations Manager will be responsible for managing our operations in London, working as part of the UK Field Operations Team to support large teams of grassroots volunteers to provide essential support to people seeking safety.
You will need to onboard and motivate volunteers through continuous engagement and support to ensure that proper safety procedures for effective distributions and activities are in place, well communicated, and consistently applied. The performance of each region and team needs to be regularly assessed and action taken to build capacity and skills where needed. - Present the work of Child Bereavement UK at individual fundraiser and community events, schools, conferences and other venues where a speaker is required. This includes giving informational presentations to audiences and accepting cheques and donations from fundraisers.
- Accurately input supporter information onto our database in accordance with the Data Protection Act, ensuring that all communications are up-to-date at all times.
- Work with Finance and Supporter Experience teams to ensure timely and accurate recording of donations and delivery of thank you letters.
- Regularly report on key performance indicators (KPIs) and support business planning.
- Prepare appropriate documents/policies in relation to fundraising at Child Bereavement UK as required.
Person Specification
Essential
- Proven successful experience of event organisation and supporter care
- Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate with a wide range of people at all levels
- Experience of overseeing fundraising activity, including the development, support and management of volunteers
- Proven relationship-building skills and a track record of establishing and stewarding partnerships
- Excellent time management and organisational skills with the ability to prioritise work, handle conflicting demands and meet tight deadlines
- A creative thinker and quick to respond to opportunities
- Ability to be passionate and inspiring when communicating about the work of Child Bereavement UK
- Experience of using databases and excellent general IT skills.
- Strong attention to detail and project management skills.
- Ability to work cross-functionally and as part of a team environment.
- Willingness to work out of normal office hours, with time off in lieu (TOIL).
Desirable
- Understanding of child bereavement.
- Thorough understanding of relevant legislation/charity law affecting fundraising practice, including Health and Safety.
