About the role
As Spear expands its reach, we are looking for a Development Coach who will focus on two things: equipping young people facing barriers to employment with the confidence, mindset and skills to move into sustainable work, and developing the coaches around you to do the same.

About the role
This Operations & Administration Coordinator role is a diverse and hands-on role, covering a wide range of tasks and responsibilities that are essential to the smooth, efficient running of the organisation. It's a part-time position for three days (21 hours) a week.

About You

They will support the Facilities and Property Manager with day-to-day office running, health and safety and will work closely with teams across the organisation to create a safe, positive and inclusive workplace environment. The postholder will support staff onboarding and wellbeing and contribute to a high-quality employee experience in the office and working from home.
You should have good customer service skills and mindset, able to provide a welcoming experience for visitors and colleagues. You will enjoy relationship‑building and have a person-centre approach to supporting colleagues and an ability to communicate sensitively with older tenants. You should be highly organised with attention to detail and have an ability to switch between tasks and prioritise in a role which, by its nature, involves interruptions.

This is a part‑time position of 28 hours per week, usually worked over four days, though we’re happy to consider five shorter days. The role is mainly office‑based, with occasional hybrid working arranged with your line manager. Your working days will be agreed with the Facilities and Properties Manager (who also works part‑time) to ensure full office coverage across the working week.

About the Role
We are seeking an individual to undertake the dual role of promoting the profile of the RAF Benevolent Funds welfare offer, whilst also carrying out welfare casework. This is a community-based position working from home but covering South Central Scotland.
Post holders will be expected to undertake holistic assessment of need both remotely (over the telephone and online) and when required in person across their region. You will be expected to work with individuals who may have complex and sometimes challenging welfare needs, assisting them by identifying appropriate support from within both the RAF Benevolent Fund and the wider statutory and military charity sector, ensuring that support is made available to meet their need through the case working process.
The successful candidate will have experience of working in a social welfare role supporting individuals and will have strong people and relationship-building skills, as well as empathy with or understanding of issues affecting the Armed Forces community.
This is home based and the candidate must have their own vehicle for use of traveling around the region covered. Occasional travel to London will be required.

This is a pivotal interim role supporting a charity that has recently undergone significant organisational change and is now operating as a grant-making organisation. The postholder will work closely with the Charity Director to ensure strong governance, compliance and operational effectiveness during this transition period.

The charity has been supporting serving and veteran members of the UK Armed Forces and their families for over a century, helping people access vital healthcare and wellbeing support. Following the sale of its hospital, the organisation is now focused on grant-making, stewardship of assets, and ensuring the highest standards of charity governance.
About the role
- Manage day-to-day business support, office and administrative operations
- Lead on governance administration, including Board and Committee support
- Prepare agendas, papers, minutes and action logs for trustee meetings
- Maintain statutory registers, governance records and compliance documentation
- Coordinate and manage outsourced providers (finance, HR, IT, marketing)
- Support HR administration, onboarding and staff records
- Assist with risk management, audits, policies and regulatory compliance
- Provide operational support to fundraising and grant-making activity
