The Diocese of Rochester is seeking a Stewardship Manager to play a key role in increasing the financial resources available for mission across the Diocese. Working closely with the Finance Director, Archdeacons, and parish leaders, you will help embed generous giving practices and support churches to develop sustainable approaches to funding ministry.

This is an influential and relational role for someone who can combine theological understanding, financial insight, and strong communication skills to help parishes identify and overcome potential barriers to generosity and grow in confidence around Christian stewardship.

About the Role

You will support parishes and diocesan colleagues in building a culture of generosity and sustainable giving. Your key responsibilities will include:

· Leading the development of a culture of generosity and mutual support across the Diocese

· Working alongside the Finance Director, Archdeacons and colleagues to grow parish giving and develop parish offers

· Teaching and speaking in parishes, deaneries, and online gatherings on Christian generosity and stewardship

· Encouraging and supporting the use of the Parish Giving Scheme and other digital giving tools

· Promoting best practice through parish giving reviews and stewardship initiatives

· Working with the Communications team to promote generosity through a range of media and resources

· Supporting training for clergy and lay leaders on teaching generosity and managing parish finances

· Using data and financial trends to identify barriers to giving and develop practical strategies

· Contributing to diocesan strategy by ensuring generosity and giving are embedded in planning and initiatives

· Creating practical preaching and training resources to support local churches

About You

We’re looking for someone who:

· Has significant experience in fundraising, ideally within a Christian charity or similar context

· Has experience working with high-value donors and developing giving strategies

· Understands the theology and biblical principles of Christian generosity and stewardship

· Is confident in teaching, preaching, and communicating about giving in a range of contexts

· Has strong interpersonal and negotiation skills and can motivate others to embrace new approaches

· Has a strong understanding of finance and the ability to analyse giving trends and data

· Is highly organised and able to manage multiple relationships and projects

· Understands the culture and diversity of traditions within the Church of England

· A communicant member of the Church of England (or a church in communion with it, or a member Church of Churches Together in England, the Council of Churches for Britain and Ireland, or the Evangelical Alliance)

· Able to travel to all areas of the diocese, including during evenings and weekends to meet with parishes.

The Brent Centre for Young People 

The Brent Centre for Young People (BCYP) is the leading mental health charity for young people in Northwest London, helping over 800 young people a year with a wide range of issues. The Role

As HR Officer, you will play a role in bringing structure, consistency and clarity to Brent Centre’s HR processes. You will deliver practical, people-focused support across the employee lifecycle, from recruitment, onboarding to contract changes, developing and updating organisational policies, helping to strengthen and develop how HR supports colleagues across the organisation.

Working closely with the Administration and Finance Manager, you will act as the first point of contact for day-to-day HR queries, ensuring they are handled promptly, accurately and in line with Brent Centre’s values. We are very excited to announce that we have been awarded a grant by The National Lottery Community Fund to help us support our most valued micro and small voluntary and community groups in Oxfordshire.

As the Programme Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving forward this partnership initiative, working collaboratively with our delivery partners, with local stakeholders, community and voluntary sector groups, and our funder The National Lottery Community Fund to ensure that impact measurement and activity reporting is kept on track. About the role 

The Faith and Communities Engagement Officer role is designed to enhance and strengthen the infrastructure of homelessness services across Westminster by mobilising and supporting faith and community-based initiatives and groups. The intention is to facilitate effective partnerships with statutory and voluntary sector services and promote sustainable, community-led responses to homelessness and rough sleeping. 

Key responsibilities will include engagement and partnership development, capacity building and support, infrastructure and sustainability and advocacy. The role will play a vital part in bridging gaps between grassroots faith and community initiatives and formal homelessness systems, ensuring coordinated and compassionate support for those experiencing homelessness and rough sleeping.

Main Purpose and Scope of the Job:

 

The focus of this role is on reduction of risk and minimising impact of domestic abuse by providing support, advice and assistance to adults and any children living within Stop Domestic Abuse’s dispersed accommodation who have experienced or are at risk of domestic abuse.

Dispersed accommodation is safe, self-contained accommodation with a similar level of specialist domestic abuse support as provided within our refuges but which may be more suitable for victims-survivors who are unable to stay in a refuge with communal spaces, and/or where peer support from other residents may not be appropriate. This may include: women with male children over 16, male victims-survivors, including men with children, LGBTQ+ victims-survivors, older adults, victims-survivors with disabilities, victims-survivors facing multiple disadvantages and victims-survivors with pets

To provide safety planning, support, advice, and assistance all adults, children those living within dispersed accommodation.  

The post-holder will work to empower and support all victims and survivors of domestic abuse to make positive choices.

To participate in the delivery of the on-call out of hours on a rota basis.

At Thrive, our Practitioners work with plants and people to improve an individual’s physical and psychological health, social interaction. skills and confidence.

We’re looking for a Specialist STH Practitioner with qualifications in Horticulture and a Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement who can deliver, primarily, our City & Guild Level 1 Practical Horticulture Skills for our Pathways programme. There would be some flexibility required to provide other Social and Therapeutic Horticulture (STH) programmes for adults in our gardens in Battersea Park and outreach settings.

Working alongside volunteers this role will support people with learning disabilities, autism, long term health conditions or disabilities to move into their next step in their life whether is further training or employment.

Based at Thrive’s London Centre in Battersea Park. The role will involve some work undertaken off-site in London and occasional travel to the Thrive Centres in Reading and Birmingham.

As a Senior Social Worker, you will work as part of a committed and creative team, which offers innovative social care interventions and support to people with palliative and end-of-life care needs, and to their families, carers and children.

The social work team works in collaboration with other clinical professionals and volunteers across all areas of the service: inpatient, outpatient and community. The team includes social workers, a dedicated carers service lead and welfare benefits lead. In addition to clinical case work and line management responsibilities, the Senior Social Worker deputises for the Social Work Manager in their absence, providing cover for day-to-day operational matters.

About you

We are looking for:

• Post-qualifying experience working in the context of palliative or end-of-life care or a related area
• Post-qualifying experience of individual staff management and professional supervision
• Experience of managing and coordinating complex casework and safeguarding concerns across professional groups and agencies

Every journey with dementia is different, so the support you offer will always be shaped by the individual. This is a home based role, but much of your
time will be spent out in the community across County Durham, meeting people face to face and building relationships with local services. The county is divided into five areas based on the former District Councils and you will mainly support people within one of these areas. Being able to travel independently is essential.
About the role

- Provide person centred, outcomes focused information, advice and support to people living with dementia and their carers
- Support people to work towards their personal goals, whether that is maintaining independence, improving wellbeing or accessing the right services
- Offer support in ways that suit each individual, including home visits, phone calls, video calls, email and community meetings
- Signpost and refer people to other relevant services and sources of support
- Build strong relationships with professionals such as GPs, memory clinics and health and social care teams
- Promote the service within the community through events, partnership working and awareness sessions
- Facilitate a monthly Singing for the Brain group, helping people connect through music and shared experience
- Maintain accurate records using internal systems and digital tools

About you

- A genuine passion for supporting people to maintain independence and live well
- An understanding of dementia and the needs of people living with it and their carers, or experience supporting people with other health or support needs
- Strong communication skills and the ability to adapt your approach for different people and situations
- The ability to build positive relationships with a wide range of professionals and community partners
- Confidence using IT systems, databases and virtual meeting platforms such as Teams or Zoom
- Experience or confidence in facilitating small group sessions
- The ability to travel independently across the local area when required

We are looking for a Head of Charity to lead TVAP to achieve an increased impact in meeting the expectations and needs of our visitors in the ever-changing SEND environment. Working with the Board, the Head of Charity will strategically review the current landscape, new opportunities and funding possibilities to best support our visitors.

Our new Head of Charity will: 

• Review the strategy and develop a multi-year implementation plan 
• Maximise TVAP’s impact and reach in the community through a focused service offering 
• Lead the organisation externally with key stakeholders
• Lead and inspire our dedicated and passionate team of staff and volunteers. 

We are seeking someone with proven experience in a senior leadership role, who brings:  

• A proven track record of delivering high quality services, achieving change and maximising opportunities

• Solid experience of building strong relationships across a range of stakeholders, including trustees, visitors,  staff, funders and partners 

• Experience of developing income and an understanding of managing finances 

• Experience of leading, managing and inspiring teams in a collaborative working environment
