The role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced healthcare profession/health related professional to join our existing team of Wellbeing Consultants embedded within established UK GenesisCare cancer treatment centres.

This role requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with patients, relatives, GenesisCare staff team and Wellbeing consultant team and the wider Penny Brohn UK organization. We are looking for a professional who can work in a flexible, proactive, intelligent, and creative way. Candidates should have experience of working within private or national health related services and have knowledge, experience/understanding of complementary therapies or other support services.

Key role considerations

•  This role will involve working alongside our partner GenesisCare to ensure a holistic approach is taken in aspects of support and treatment.
• The bulk of the patient work is delivery of one-to-one sessions – completing holistic needs assessments, review appointments, consultations, mindfulness, and relaxation sessions.
• The Wellbeing Consultant is responsible for ensuring that patients and their relatives have a positive experience as they move through the Penny Brohn UK treatment support services at GenesisCare.

We’re looking for an Out of Hours Activity Coordinator to be responsible for the development and delivery of our out-of-hours services. 

You will be creative and motivated, and will inspire the people we support through a range of activities and new opportunities, building upon our current offer. 

This role reduces social isolation and loneliness for disabled adults and children by creating new evenings and weekend opportunities. We’ll also look to you to create a brand for these new, standalone services which are designed with people who use our services and our co-production team.

We are looking for a Foster Scheme Coordinator to coordinate Battersea’s London Foster Scheme, working in conjunction with Operations and Clinic in sourcing suitable temporary homes for those dogs in our London site requiring foster and supporting both foster carers and dogs during their time away from Battersea.

Age UK is offering an exciting new opportunity for a Head of Legal and Governance, to provide strategic leadership and operational oversight of Age UK's Legal, Governance and Procurement functions.

This influential role ensures the charity operates safely, legally, and efficiently, delivering value for money, mitigating risk, and supporting Age UK's mission and strategic aims and will play a key role as we bring our legal and procurement teams closer together. The post holder will oversee our governance function and the service we deliver to our Board of Trustees, their delegated committees and our commercial and charitable subsidiaries, with line management of the Senior Governance Manager, Procurement Manager and Legal Advisors.

• Promote the development of Step Forward fostering across the UK.
• Engage with potential funding partners to promote business growth.
• Support the establishment of new operational local Step Forward hubs in other regions.
• Sharing learning, offering advice with others to support business development across TACT.
• Be member of project groups to develop other types of fostering for children with highest need.
• To be a member of the regional/nations management team and deputise for the Area Manager/Services Manager in their absence.
• Responsible for the regions/nations specialist Step Forward fostering service including management of team members.

TheDeputy Manager (Step Forward Fostering) will be based in Leeds and Bradford, as travel across the region will be required. The successful candidate will also be required to travel to face-to-face meetings in Yorkshire at least once a month, as well as for other occasions, such as training and team wellbeing events.

An Enhanced DBS clearance is required for this role and will be processed by TACT on your behalf.
