Role Purpose
The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the operation of multiple projects run by Bassetlaw Foodbank (BFB). They will be required to deputise for the CEO, ensure compliance is followed, that BFB’s premises are well maintained and all projects have what they need to operate on a daily basis.
About us
Bassetlaw Foodbank was established in 2012 to tackle food insecurity across the district of Bassetlaw. Since 2020 the charity has expanded to tackle poverty on multiple fronts, running projects that focus both on the affordability and accessibility of food. We support residents of Bassetlaw who are in crisis, and those at risk of falling into crisis.
Key Responsibilities
Main Duties:
· Supporting the CEO; in line with the structure chart, managing paid resources (including deputising as needed).
· To oversee and ensure the operation of all BFB’s projects in tandem with one another.
· Managing volunteers across several charity projects.
· Being responsible for compliance across BFB’s sites.

The Crisis & Resilience Fund Team Leader will lead the delivery of the Exeter Crisis & Resilience Service, providing operational leadership to a multidisciplinary team delivering high-quality, person-centred support to residents experiencing financial hardship, crisis and multiple disadvantage. The postholder will line manage Navigate's Client Liaison Officers and the Money Advice Caseworkers employed by partners Churches Housing Action Team (CHAT) and Encompass Southwest to ensure a seamless, coordinated service that supports individuals from immediate financial crisis through to long term resilience. As Navigate's operational lead for the contract, the Team Leader will foster strong partnership working, maintain effective communication across organisations and ensure clients experience a consistent 'No Wrong Door' approach. Alongside leadership responsibilities, the postholder will manage a small caseload of complex clients, delivering FCA-regulated debt advice, welfare benefits advice, advocacy and holistic financial resilience support. The Southmead Project is seeking an experienced and motivated Fundraiser to support the charity’s long-term financial sustainability.
The postholder will identify, research and secure funding from trusts, foundations, charitable bodies, statutory funders and other appropriate sources. The Hampstead Garden Suburb Trust is looking for one or more organised, practical and people-focused colleagues to support the day-to-day running of our small conservation charity.
We protect, maintain and enhance the unique character of Hampstead Garden Suburb: an internationally important example of early 20th-century town planning and architecture. This role is central to helping the Trust work well day to day.
The work falls into two connected strands:
We are open to appointing either one full-time person covering both strands, or more than one part-time colleague with responsibilities divided between them. The final arrangement will depend on the skills, availability and working pattern of the successful candidate or candidates.
This role could suit someone who enjoys varied, useful work in a small organisation where their contribution is visible. You will need to be organised, accurate, calm with the public, confident using records and systems, and able to follow work through reliably.
Some candidates may be stronger in resident contact and office coordination; others may be stronger in records, property administration and governance. Candidates do not need to have experience in every area.
The role is office-based at the Trust office in London NW11. Full-time is 35 hours per week. Part-time and annualised-hours arrangements will be considered. Annualised hours means that working time may vary across the year to support individual working patterns while meeting the Trust’s operational needs.
The Trust’s normal office hours are 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday. Part-time candidates would not be expected to work across all office hours, but candidates will need to be available for a minimum of three hours on Monday mornings.
Salary is £29,000–£32,000 per annum FTE, pro rata for part-time or annualised-hours arrangements. The Trust offers 25 days’ annual leave plus bank holidays, pro rata where applicable, and a contributory pension scheme with an employer contribution of 8% where the employee contributes 8%.
