We are now looking for an experienced and trustworthy Finance Lead to play a vital role in the sustainability and growth of our organisation. This is a high-trust, part-time role where your work will directly enable Evergreen’s services to continue and expand.

Working closely with the Chief Executive Officer and Treasurer, you will bring clarity, insight and confidence to our financial management—supporting good decision-making, strong governance, and responsible stewardship of resources.

About the role

This is both a strategic and hands-on role. You will take ownership of financial reporting, year-end accounts, and internal controls, while ensuring the organisation remains compliant and financially well-managed.

You will:

• Prepare monthly management accounts and provide clear financial insight to leadership and trustees
• Lead the preparation of annual statutory accounts in line with charity SORP
• Support the independent examination process and ensure timely regulatory submissions
• Monitor budgets, cash flow and restricted funds, highlighting risks and opportunities
• Maintain strong financial controls and support good governance
• Provide oversight of bookkeeping and day-to-day financial processes

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Cathedral Safeguarding Officer (CSO) to lead our commitment to creating a safe and welcoming environment for all. This is a pivotal role within our community, ensuring that safeguarding remains at the very heart of the Cathedral’s life and mission.

As the CSO, you will be the strategic and operational lead for safeguarding. This role plays an important part in helping colleagues across Battersea stay informed, connected and engaged with the work we do for dogs and cats. As Internal Communications Officer, you will support the delivery of day-to-day internal communications activity across a range of channels, helping ensure staff, volunteers and trustees have access to clear, timely and engaging information.

You will contribute content across multiple internal platforms, including producing Battersea’s weekly internal newsletter and supporting the ongoing development of Pawtal, our staff intranet. The role also involves helping colleagues across the organisation manage their own content, offering advice and support to ensure information shared with staff is clear, consistent and aligned with Battersea’s priorities.

You will also support the delivery of internal engagement activity, from large-scale events such as Town Halls, roadshows and our End of Year Highlights event, to smaller sessions that showcase the work of teams across the organisation. Alongside this, you’ll assist with CEO video communications, coordinating filming and helping bring senior leader messages to life.

Working closely with the Internal Communications Manager and Internal Communications Specialist, you’ll also help monitor how our communications are performing by gathering feedback from staff and analysing engagement data to support continuous improvement.

Role summary

As our new Operations and People Lead, you will help us continue to build and nurture a strong, can-do, and empowering operational culture that is rooted in collaboration, equity and care. You will support the CEO in ensuring the right systems and processes are in place for the smooth running of the organisation and support the Head of Programmes in the seamless delivery of our programs during a period of rapid change. Your goal will be to balance operational efficiency with team well-being, optimising people and teams allocations and implementing new approaches and processes so that we deliver outstanding work, while our people thrive. Key Responsibilities

People strategy - (Approx 40%)

• Operations strategy and ways of working: Work with the CEO and SLT, co-design and implement a robust operations strategy and clear ways of working for effective allocation of team and resources to achieve the organisation's objectives, strengthening further our  principles of deep collaboration, equity and care.

• Equitable recruitment and retention strategy: Building on our existing progress in inclusive hiring, you will work closely with the CEO and SLT to evolve and champion our recruitment and retention strategy. You will continue to refine our processes, ensuring we remain at the forefront of removing access barriers and nurturing a diverse, flourishing, and long-term workforce. You will be responsible for timelining, creating Job Descriptions; advertising strategy and budget; liaise with hiring manager; referencing; offer letters & contracts.

• People development & care: Working closely with the CEO and SLT, contribute to the development and lead on the implementation of training, continuous professional development processes and policies that enable transparency, peer to peer feedback, psychological safety, professional development and empowerment.

• Delivery strategy: Working closely with the Head of Programmes, design and drive a capacity planning strategy for the team across 20+ projects to ensure impact delivery as well as balanced workloads. 

• Cross-cutting principles: Working closely with the CEO, leading internal policy work, you will steward and expand our internal policy framework, ensuring that our established principles of wellbeing, diversity, accessibility, and anti-racism continue to be deeply woven into the fabric of every new and existing policy.

Operational excellence (Approx 30%)

• Systems improvement: Enhance and adjust systems, processes, and best practices to ensure they are flexible enough to respond to the lived realities of a diverse team.

• Digital access: Lead the planning and implementation of IT and digital strategies that facilitate accessible and collaborative remote/hybrid working.

• Compliance and safety: Maintain and communicate health, safety, and security protocols through a lens of collective care and team protection.

• Process standardisation: Working with the CEO and Finance Manager, drive consistency across HR, admin, and finance to reduce cognitive load and administrative friction for the team.

HR & financial administration (Approx 20%)

• HR: 

  • HR Software & data ownership, maintenance and ensuring consistency in colleagues use of the software. 

  • Act as the primary point of contact for HR enquiries, accessibility requests, and leave calculation.

  • Act on behalf of the CEO in handling confidential issues with care and restorative intent & liaising with external HR advisor.

• Financial support: In partnership with our Finance Manager, coordinate confidential finance administration, including payroll, pensions, and audit preparation, ensuring all team members are supported by stable financial operations.

• Resource management: Manage IT and Operations budgets.

• Contract management: Oversee the administration of employment contracts and agreements and NDAs for freelancers, as well as internship placements to ensure fair and clear working agreements.

Executive support & governance (Approx 10% of the time)

• Leadership partnership: Support the SLT in strategic direction, planning, and workforce development so they can focus on fundraising, advocacy and high-level impact work.

• Support the CEO on internal communications, business travel, scheduling, diary management, technical assistance.

• Board: Manage all JB Board administration, including arranging quarterly meetings, minutes, etc.

• Funding & tenders: Provide necessary operational and organisational information for funding applications and manage portal processes for payments and offers.

• Office Management: Lead on the management of JB’s office, ensuring that the office is a comfortable working environment and equipment is maintained. Be the first point of contact for Somerset House, facilities, and for office related issues.

Person Specification

Essential

• HR Expertise: Six to eight years of demonstrable practical experience in designing and implementing People centred strategies with a focus on collaborative leadership rooted in inclusion, equity, diversity and care (six to eight years of experience). We’re particularly interested in someone experienced and/or genuinely interested in participatory design methods that incorporate the lived experiences of a diverse team.

• Operational excellence: Six to eight years of demonstrable practical experience of developing and implementing effective operations strategies and effective systems and processes that enable organisational excellence and staff wellbeing.

• A genuine, demonstrable commitment for the role of culture in addressing the climate, environment and justice crises, preferably with experience of working with values-led teams working on systemic issues especially working across climate, environmental and justice issues.

• Demonstrable experience of planning and implementing streamlined digital operations, bringing a seamless and cohesive approach to IT and software solutions.

• Strategic thinking with an eye for detail: Ability to contribute to high-level strategy while maintaining excellent attention to detail.

• Excellent communication skills: Ability to communicate key messages effectively across various written and verbal forms.

The Marketing & Communications Officer will play a key role in raising the profile of Artsreach. The Hampstead Garden Suburb Trust protects, maintains and enhances the unique character of Hampstead Garden Suburb - an internationally important example of early 20th-century town planning and architecture.

The Architectural Support Officer plays a central role in this work. You will support the day-to-day operation of the Trust’s consent process, helping applicants and their advisers with applications, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring decisions are communicated clearly, professionally and with authority.

This is a varied role combining administration, public-facing work and exposure to architecture and conservation. It would suit someone with an interest in the built environment and heritage who enjoys detailed work and engaging with the public.

The role supports a high volume of applications across the Suburb and is central to the Trust’s day-to-day operation.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Architectural and technical support

• Support the architectural team in reviewing applications, including preparing summaries and assisting with research and policy.
• Maintain a strong working understanding of the Trust’s Design Guidance and relevant policies.
• Assist applicants in understanding how proposals align with the Trust’s requirements while being clear about the Trust’s role and the limits of advice that can be provided.
• Attend occasional site visits with colleagues to view properties and proposals.
• There will be opportunities to contribute to talks and events, depending on interests and experience.

Application and consent process

• Manage the administration of applications for Trust consent, ensuring they are registered, validated and processed efficiently.
• Act as a first point of contact for applicants and their advisers, providing clear guidance on process and requirements.
• Calculate and process application fees; raise invoices and maintain accurate financial records.
• Notify neighbours and manage consultation processes in line with Trust procedures.
• Prepare and issue decision letters and consent documentation.
• Track applications through each stage of the process, ensuring deadlines and actions are monitored and progressed.

Committee and governance support

• Prepare and circulate papers for Plans Committee and Trust Council.
• Take clear and accurate minutes and support follow-up actions.
• Assist in the preparation of reports and recommendations.

Records and systems

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of applications, decisions and property information.
• Support ongoing improvements to record-keeping, processes and digital systems.
• Ensure documentation is well organised, accessible and compliant with Trust requirements.

Team and office contribution

• Respond to general enquiries from residents by phone, email and in person.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to support the smooth running of the Trust office.
• Undertake any other duties relevant to the role as required.

Position Overview:

Epic is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our Programs team to manage relationships and grants of nonprofits in our portfolio, and monitor and support their work over time. In particular, this role will lead the development and management  of a learning community to support our grantees and alumni beyond our financial support. 

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nonprofit strategy and/or social entrepreneurship, experience in designing and facilitating peer learning and capacity-building initiatives, and a deep passion for social impact and strategic philanthropy.

The Senior Programs Manager will work under the supervision of the Programs Director and they will be part of a growing team with colleagues in London and Paris.

Key responsibilities: 

• Manage the relationship and continuous monitoring of portfolio organizations. This involves acting as the point of contact for a portion of the portfolio's organizations, including reviewing and analyzing monitoring data and supporting grant-making processes. .

• Develop, promote and manage a program made up of initiatives and practices that contribute to the organizational development and growth of nonprofits. This would include developing capacity building initiatives and facilitating peer learning spaces responding to grantees’ needs.

• Contribute to the selection of strong organizations for the Epic portfolio. This will notably involve conducting due diligence following Epic's framework, reviewing processes and documents, conducting interviews with candidate organizations, and carrying out selection visits.

• Contribute to the development and management of effective partnerships for Epic's programs (e.g., sourcing partners for selection, pro bono partners for capacity building, etc.) and identify collaboration opportunities.

• Work with the Programs team to implement systems and processes to evaluate the impact of Epic's programs worldwide and contribute to demonstrating the value of unrestricted funding.

• Contribute to Epic's research program and knowledge management (reports, case studies, analysis of trends and developments in the philanthropy field) and help develop Epic's thought leadership and reputation as a key player in the philanthropic sector on smart-giving.

• Facilitate and liaise with other teams within the foundation, to keep portfolio organizations' data, analysis and information up to date to support its relationships with donors and target audiences.

• Participate in the development and execution of the Programs team's strategy, in alignment with Epic's mission, values, and organizational objectives.

• Collaborate with other Epic teams to develop internal and external knowledge management and promote the work of portfolio organizations and the Programs team.

• Any other duties that may be assigned within the scope of the role.

Required  skills and qualifications:

• Right to work in France or the United Kingdom (Epic is not able to sponsor visas)

• 7+  years experience in non-profit organisational development and programs and / or philanthropy strategy and grant-making.

• Technical expertise in one or more of Epic’s key priorities (i.e.: social entrepreneurship, social impact evaluation, youth empowerment and trust-based philanthropy).

• Previous experience and knowledge of appropriate tools and methodologies to build capacity and learning processes for organisational development and scaling social impact.

• Expertise of working with relevant IT, such as CRM systems and project management tools. In particular familiarity of working with AI, to help enhance efficiency, learning and analysis. 

• Strong understanding and expertise in nonprofit management, design, and impact analysis and the ability to assess a nonprofit across impact, operations and governance. 

• Strong analytical and evaluative skills, especially analyzing data and research - both qualitative and quantitative - and specifically those related to programmatic monitoring, impact assessment and learning.

• Strong facilitation skills and ability to navigate complex  power dynamics and multi-stakeholder spaces.

• Strong writing skills and ability to communicate effectively (written and orally) to diverse audiences in English (and French desired).

• Experience of working in a lean and entrepreneurial organization with a high degree of self management; strong project management skills and ability to manage a high-volume workload at a fast pace.

Contract Details (UK only)

The post holder will ensure that income related processes—such as rent charging, arrears management, service charges, and financial workflows—are accurately embedded across all refuge services. This will include ongoing configuration and testing of the new system to ensure it meets our needs.

Alongside system implementation responsibilities, the post holder will lead on the effective management and reduction of rent arrears, including recovery of historic arrears. Operating within a performance driven framework, they will ensure income KPIs, compliance requirements, and data quality standards are consistently achieved.

The role

Young Scot is seeking a strategic, entrepreneurial and delivery-focused leader to help shape and drive a step-change in how we generate income and build partnerships. 

This is a pivotal role at a defining moment for the organisation with the recent appointment of a new CEO, as well launching a new organisational strategic vision. As we evolve our operating model and ambitions, you will lead the development of a more diverse, sustainable and innovative income portfolio - ensuring we can continue to deliver meaningful impact for young people aged 11–26 across Scotland. 

Working closely with the CEO and senior leadership team (SLT), you will design and implement a new income generation strategy, unlocking opportunities across corporate partnerships, trusts and foundations, public sector funding and earned income streams. It’s an exciting time to join the Philanthropy and Marketing Team at SCF. After investing in our Philanthropy and Marketing capacity, we’ve grown fundraising income by 60% and added almost £10 million to SCF’s endowment since 2021. We recently launched our new 10-year strategy with ambitious plans to grow our endowment to £35 million by 2035 to significantly increase the funding we can provide our communities for generations to come. This role will be key to our growth. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead the development and delivery of our individual giving programme and strategy, including leading on the delivery of SCF’s annual Surviving Winter Appeal, reviewing our existing donor base and offer, refreshing and embedding stronger donor journeys, and undertaking research and data analysis to explore new supporter audiences Lead the planning and delivery of a high-quality stewardship events and engagement programme, including our Annual Celebration, ‘below the radar’ fundholder events, learning and networking events for our professional advisor partners, and donor visits to charities in collaboration with the Philanthropy and Marketing Director, Senior Philanthropy Manager, and wider team Support the coordination and delivery of SCF’s legacy fundraising programme, working closely with the Philanthropy and Marketing Director and Senior Marketing Manager to deliver our new legacy fundraising strategy Support the delivery of our Collective Giving Funds and annual Fundholder Impact Reports Make best use of Salesforce to support effective donor management and reporting and maintaining high-quality data
