About the Role
Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP) is responding to the largest emergency in our 40+ year history. Over the last two and a half years, tens of thousands of new supporters have joined MAP, driving significant growth in income across individuals, trusts, foundations, and corporate partners. As we work to sustain this support — and with an ambition to become a £50m organisation by 2028 — high‑quality data and robust supporter operations are essential to our success.
The Supporter Database Manager plays a critical role in ensuring our supporter data is accurate, reliable, and fit for purpose. Managing the day‑to‑day operation of MAP’s supporter database, you’ll lead a small, specialist team and work closely with colleagues across Fundraising, Finance, Campaigns, and Digital, Data and Technology (DDT) to ensure income is processed correctly, data standards are upheld, and our systems support effective fundraising, campaigning and supporter care.
MAP is currently embedding a new CRM (Microsoft Dynamics 365). While CRM system ownership sits within the DDT team, this role will be central to ensuring the database works for users, data quality remains high, and operational processes are continuously improved.
If you’re an experienced database professional with strong people skills, high attention to detail and a commitment to MAP’s mission and values, we’d love to hear from you.
What is the role about?
Lead on ensuring MAP’s supporter data can be trusted and used with confidence across the organisation. You’ll oversee data quality, imports, integrations, and financial reconciliation, while managing and developing a small team responsible for the smooth running of supporter database operations. Your work will directly support fundraising and campaigning performance, supporter experience, and organisational decision-making.
A full description of responsibilities can be found in the job description.
About You
This role is ideal for an experienced supporter or customer database professional — or a CRM specialist ready to step into a management role — who enjoys combining hands‑on operational work with team leadership. You’ll be detail-focused, collaborative, and confident working across systems, suppliers and teams.
You’ll be motivated by improving processes, strengthening data quality and enabling colleagues to deliver outstanding experiences for supporters, all while contributing to MAP’s work to protect the health and dignity of Palestinians living under occupation and as refugees.
We encourage applications from candidates who may not meet every requirement, but who have the potential to develop into the role.

Action Asylum is a national, community-led, nature-based volunteering project that brings people seeking asylum and local residents together through practical climate and nature action - tree planting, habitat restoration, beach cleans, and food growing. Delivered across ten cities through a cross-sector network of refugee-sector organisations, Wildlife Trusts and local green partners, the project improves wellbeing and belonging, strengthens community cohesion, and contributes to nature recovery and climate resilience.
The project is led by Task Force Trust and we have secured funding for the 3 year project. A Central Coordination Team (CCT), hosted by Asylum Link Merseyside in Liverpool, provides national strategic oversight, partner coordination, communications, and evaluation across the full network.

The National Coordinator is the operational engine of Action Asylum's national network. You will be the primary point of contact for Project Leads across all ten cities, keeping delivery on track, ensuring robust monitoring and reporting, and supporting partners to deliver safe, inclusive, high-quality programmes. You will also coordinate the Skills Exchange Programme, work jointly with the Project Director on the University of Nottingham's independent evaluation, and line-manage the Liverpool Action Asylum Project Lead.
You will be based at Asylum Link Merseyside in Liverpool as part of the CCT, working closely with the Project Director (your line manager), the Finance Manager, and the National Comms Officer. • Manage the CODA reporting system, ensure timely partner reporting, compile bi-annual reports for funders, and support the University of Nottingham's independent evaluation (access, logistics, and city-level data - jointly with the Project Director).
• Oversee the continued co-production and delivery of the Skills Exchange Programme with all delivery partners and Wildlife Trusts throughout the three-year project.
• Support local partners with communications activity, contribute to the quarterly national newsletter, and work with the National Comms Officer and IMIX Media to ensure consistent, inclusive messaging across the network.
• Support the Project Director - who holds national safeguarding lead responsibility - in maintaining the project-wide safeguarding framework, risk log, and partner training records.
• Line-manage the Liverpool Action Asylum Project Lead (PL), who holds a combined role spanning Action Asylum project delivery and ALM's wider community wellbeing programme. This includes biannual supervisions, supporting the PL to meet their combined objectives, and offering pastoral support as needed.
• Play a key coordination role in national annual events (Year 2 Liverpool meet-up and Year 3 closing celebration) and support funder network engagement.
About You
We are looking for someone who brings:
• Experience working in the refugee, asylum or migrant sector, with a genuine understanding of the barriers and strengths within these communities.
• Strong project coordination and network management skills - comfortable holding multiple relationships and workstreams simultaneously.
• Experience with monitoring, evaluation and reporting, including data management and funder reporting.
• Excellent facilitation skills and confidence leading virtual meetings with diverse participants.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail - able to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines effectively.
• Experience of, or confidence in, line managing or supervising staff, with a supportive and accountable management style.
• A warm, collaborative working style with a genuine commitment to equity, inclusion, and trauma-informed practice.

Greater Manchester Mayor’s Charity launched in April 2019 with one clear vision, that homelessness has no place here in Greater Manchester. As one of the founding funders of A Bed Every Night, we have been at the forefront of efforts to reduce rough sleeping in the city region. Since our launch, our grant making has evolved to complement this emergency response through two additional priority areas: Places and Spaces, and Targeted Prevention.
But as the challenges develop, so does our response. Our next step is to support organisations and initiatives working with communities – as well as individuals – to turbocharge progress towards a city-region where everyone has a safe, genuinely affordable place to call home and everyone can flourish and thrive.
In collaboration with the VCFSE sector of Greater Manchester, 10GM, the GMCA and NHS GM, Greater Manchester Mayor’s Charity are powering the Live Well Communities Fund and helping the partners to grow the success of the first year of this programme.
The Partnership & Engagement Officer will play a central role in this new collaboration, driving forward engagement with VCFSE partners deploying the fund and delivering funded activities whilst also growing partnerships and identifying opportunities to grow the fund itself.
Spanning fundraising and engagement, this is an exciting opportunity at the heart of an innovative new stage for Greater Manchester Mayor’s Charity and the city region. If you are ready to take the next steps in your career, growing and developing in a fast-paced, high-profile charity and working alongside a small but committed team dedicated to addressing homelessness in Greater Manchester, then we look forward to receiving your application!
