Location: This is a hybrid role, anchored to the Cardiff Carers Trust office 1-2 days a week. Flexibility to work from other Carers Trust’s offices around the UK. This role will require occasional travel across Wales and other parts of the United Kingdom.
The Programme Lead for Wales is a key role within the Wales Team, essential to steering Carers Trust’s strategy and improving support for unpaid carers across the UK. The postholder will be responsible for planning, managing and delivering national programmes in line with agreed project budgets, risk registers and organisational priorities.
We are seeking a passionate programme specialist with experience in programme development and income generation. The successful candidate will be entrusted to build and influence strong relationships across a wide network of stakeholders; therefore, excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.

Responsibilities

- Co-ordinate the preparation, renewal and filing of contracts. Monitor and manage risks related to employment terms and conditions.

Nurture Teams and Talent
- With the COO, lead the development of employee engagement and retention strategies.
- Assess learning needs across the organisation and collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement learning solutions and professional development for individuals and teams.
- Support the performance management and review processes and work with line managers on the performance development plans of team members.
Recruitment
- Work with the recruiting manager to coordinate the employee and consultant recruitment process, including setting terms & conditions.
- Organise job listings and interviews and support managers to provide a robust induction programme for appointees.

- Proactively identify risks within our HR policies and systems and develop strategies to mitigate them.

Contract: 6‑month fixed-term contract
Work Pattern: 22.5 hours a week. The total hours can be worked across three, four or five days on a flexible basis.

About The Role
At WWT we're on a mission to restore wetlands and unlock their power. Over 1000 volunteers play a crucial role in helping do just that. From designing great volunteer roles, to providing training and support, our central Volunteering team makes sure that every volunteer can contribute in a way that is meaningful and fun.
We're looking for an organised and proactive administrator to join the team. You'll play a key role in keeping our volunteering systems, processes and data running smoothly - helping our teams across WWT provide an amazing experience to every volunteer.
From keeping an eye on our recruitment processes, managing data and reports and keeping everything up to date, to working directly with volunteers in our team and supporting colleagues across the charity, you'll be a fundamental part of a friendly, busy team.

- Have excellent organisational skills.
- Be happy to organise their own work, whilst supporting a busy team.
- Be great with people, providing excellent customer service within WWT and externally.

Survivors in Transition has supported survivors of sexual violence and abuse for over a decade. We provide specialist recovery services across the East of England, working alongside statutory and voluntary partners to ensure survivors receive safe, compassionate and effective support.
We are looking for a Sexual Violence Caseworker / Practitioner to join our Navigation and Engagement Service.
This role sits at the front door of our service, supporting adult survivors of sexual violence and historic child sexual abuse as they take their first steps towards recovery.
You will carry out trauma-informed assessments, provide short-term advocacy and case coordination, and support survivors to access counselling and therapeutic services safely.
Salary: £28,000 – £30,000 depending on experience

About the role
In this role you will:
- Provide a compassionate first response to individuals accessing our service
- Carry out screening, risk assessment and triage
- Support survivors to access appropriate services including counselling and therapy
- Provide short-term advocacy and case coordination while survivors await specialist support
- Liaise with partners, including mental health services, police and social care
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to service monitoring and improvement
- Participate in clinical supervision and reflective practice
This role plays a key part in ensuring survivors receive joined up, survivor-centred care.
Who we’re looking for

Co‑Design and Co‑Production Worker
Hours: 28 hours per week. Must be flexible and be available for occasional work outside of usual work hours.

Co-Design and Co-Production
BDEF’s Director previously supported Bristol City Council Adult Social Care to create a Co‑production Policy. This policy was developed because there was no clear, fair, or consistent way for the Council to involve people with lived experience of using Adult Social Care services.
The policy:
- Is designed through co-production between Disabled people, Carers, Community and Voluntary Sector workers and council officers.
- Clearly defines consultation, engagement, co‑design and co‑production.
- Sets expectations for inclusive, equitable involvement.
- Has been fully adopted and approved by Adult Social Care.
- Is intended to guide all future Adult Social Care work.
Following feedback, Bristol City Council has now contracted BDEF, a Disabled‑people‑led organisation, to take this work forward. This, as part of this contract, role will focus on supporting, embedding and putting the policy into practice, ensuring that people with lived expertise are meaningfully involved in shaping Adult Social Care services.
The role will work closely with people with lived expertise of Adult Social Care services (Disabled people and carers among others), Bristol City Council Adult Social Care officers, community and voluntary organisations and BDEF colleagues. The role holder will work directly with BDEF Director who will offer advice and support.

Carers Centre Tower Hamlets is seeking a Carer Support Lead to deliver embedded carer support within the Barnsley Street Neighbourhood Mental Health Centre.
Barnsley Street is an innovative neighbourhood mental health pilot bringing together statutory and voluntary sector partners to deliver a more holistic and collaborative model of mental health support. The centre works with people experiencing mental health challenges and those around them, providing a welcoming community space where clinical care, peer support and community-based services operate alongside one another.
This role will ensure unpaid carers connected to individuals accessing Barnsley Street services are identified early, supported appropriately and connected to the help they need.
Unpaid carers often play a critical role in supporting people experiencing mental health challenges. This role strengthens that support by ensuring carers are recognised, informed and included wherever appropriate, helping to sustain safe caring arrangements and improve outcomes.
The postholder will provide one-to-one support, information and advocacy to carers connected to individuals accessing Barnsley Street services. They will also design and deliver carer-focused groups and help link carers into the wider support available through Carers Centre Tower Hamlets and local partners.
