SUMMARY
Position Title: Head of Programmes (CMDP) Mat-Cover
Level: Level 6
Salary: £40, 000 - 46, 000 (FTE yearly)
Reports to: Director of Programmes and Partnerships
Location: The Liberation centre Brixton, London (New office in Brixton)/ Remote working within the UK with at least 2 days’ work from our office (Pro rata for part time)
Contract: Fulltime (40hrs/weekly), fixed-term maternity cover contract for 1 year with potential for Part time (e.g., 32hrs/weekly) extension subject to funding.
Hours: TAA has flexible working hours, with some expected evenings (e.g. one 9pm finish once every two weeks) and weekends due to the nature of the role. All extra hours are reimbursed as Time off in Lieu (TOIL).

The Advocacy Academy is an activist youth movement. We serve as the political home for grassroots youth organising and the catalyst for collective action. The lives of the young people we work alongside have been directly shaped by living in an unjust world, and we exist to turn their anger into action.
Young people are often the catalysts for major social change, from the Student Non-violent Coordinating Committee at the heart of the Civil Rights Movement, to the Soweto Uprising mobilising young people to resist the apartheid regime's education policies, to the Sunrise Movement redrawing the electoral map across America, and more recently encampments and protests across the world protesting the genocide in Palestine. How successfully they achieve real and lasting change depends on whether they are organised and whether they have the right strategy and tactics to be effective.
We want youth organising to be enshrined in the UK for generations to come, and for young people to have tangible political power to influence national policy. That’s why we have launched two national coalitions, one around climate, and the other around gender. Each will train organisations across the country to become youth organisers and work together to bring 100 young people together to identify the strategy and tactics needed to achieve change. These young leaders will organise others and work collectively to build a campaign which shakes the status quo.

Species Recovery Manager
Home-based with regular travel to locations across the UK

Do you envision a future for the UK’s landscapes where ecosystems are resilient to the effects of climate change through functioning natural processes driven by keystone species? A future where local people are in awe of the species returning to the wild places around them. Do you have the knowledge and passion to help drive this change? This may be the role for you.
For decades, we have worked tirelessly to conserve and restore precious habitats across the UK and whilst there are many examples of success, we have not managed to reverse the decline in wildlife. What is needed is far greater scale and restoration of processes that enable habitats to be managed more effectively with less human intervention. This requires the return of missing species to drive those ecological processes. This includes extensive grazing with large herbivores like bison and elk, plus cattle and ponies (as proxies for extinct aurochs and tarpan), reinstatement of predator prey relationships with wildcat, lynx and white tailed eagles plus a host of translocations at local scales to help occupy empty habitat niches and increase ecosystem complexity.
This post will work across teams to support species reintroduction efforts, share best practice, develop new programmes and work towards species recovery being built into day to day conservation practices.
You are an inspiring and engaging nature recovery professional who is comfortable testing novel approaches to improve species recovery efforts, learning as you go and sharing lessons learnt with others to constantly improve the understanding of teams and across organisations. Your outgoing and collaborative working style makes you adept at building working relationships that lead to positive action.
You will have a good understanding of the complexities of species reintroduction efforts in the UK, understand the reasons for and against and be able to build support from a place of deep understanding and respect for others views. Role Summary
As a Senior Partnerships Manager at upReach, you will play a strategic leadership role in shaping the growth, quality, and impact of our partnerships at upReach.
Reporting to the Head of Partnerships within the Income Generation and External Engagement team, you will take strategic ownership of a portfolio of high-value partnerships (5, 6, and 7-figure) within the Tech and STEM sectors, alongside building crucial new partnerships in the sector. Our ESOL service was established in 2017 and now runs 5 days per week and offers English lessons for resettled refugees and an English Club with an emphasis on learning skills for integration into UK society. We are a growing team of ESOL tutors and creche teams providing training to help refugees and their families to resettle in Bedford Borough and Central Bedfordshire.
About the role
The Early Years Session Lead holds responsibility for leading sessions in our trauma-informed Early Years setting. They do not hold line management responsibility for other practitioners however supervise a small team of L2 practitioners during the sessions.

Preventing homelessness, transforming lives.

One of two Outreach and Project Workers pivotal to the delivery of an exciting new Women at Risk (WaR) project which will support women at risk of rough sleeping, homelessness and exploitation. Working across key areas of Enfield and Haringey you will, through a combination of nighttime outreach and daytime service provision, be critical to supporting a coordinated response across multiple agencies already engaged in this work.
You will undertake at least twice weekly nighttime outreach, support additional services and existing outreach provision and develop a daytime offer that meets the needs of women engaged through outreach and identified as at high risk of harm and homelessness.
You will have responsibility for a caseload of women identified through outreach, referral and presentation at ours and other services. You will provide advocacy, casework support and connection and referral into other agencies which can help them address their needs.

About the Service and the Role
This role is an exciting opportunity to work with the Operational Services Manager (Blended Teams) to manage the daily operations of our Blended Teams functions.
This includes managing a core team of workers in a diverse range of projects and services often in partnership with the NHS and other VCSE and community groups. The role will involve multi-agency working and ensuring the continuous development of our services to ensure that they meet the needs of the community and blended team outcomes.

This new role will lead the design, delivery, and evaluation of the three-year national programme, reporting to our Strategic Lead for Healthcare Integration & Neighbourhood Health to meet the programme priorities.

· Develop a range of volunteering pathways, with a focus on supporting those who identify as being in recovery as well as those still in structured treatment, creating opportunities that enhance social connectivity, build personal and professional skills, and provide meaningful activity.
