Our holiday and weekend activities give parents and carers a break while providing participants with a safe, welcoming space to have fun and receive the care they need. Our coordinators plan, arrange and deliver a programme of activities shaped around the needs of the young people, making the most of local opportunities, from heritage sites and outdoor adventures, to sports, arts and crafts, cooking, and team challenges. These sessions help children build friendships, grow in confidence, and express themselves in a fun, supportive space.

Family day activities bring families together to create special memories and enjoy time with others who share similar experiences. Coordinators develop and facilitate activity days which involve the whole family and provide opportunities to build friendships and connections with others. Activities take place at outdoor centres, local heritage sites and museums, as well as organised beach days and community centre-based workshops and activities.

Applicants should have relevant experience of working or volunteering with children and young people in education, health or social care, and have exceptional organisational and communication skills. 

Full and part-time positions available, and coordinators are required to work most Saturdays.  In school holiday periods, more activities take place on weekdays (instead of Saturdays), so flexibility is needed. Activities are delivered across Kent, so some travel is required.

We are looking for a friendly, reliable and community-minded PCV-licensed driver to join our Charity of I Can & I Am. We visit schools on board converted double decker buses working with children and young people across the South West in schools within an hour's drive of the Bath area. On board, we run cooking workshops in the specially converted downstairs of the bus and then workshops educating young people on self-belief in the comfortable seating area on the top deck of the bus.

This is a unique and rewarding role combining:

• driving our double decker bus to schools,

This role is about both growing and people. Growing-wise, you will be enthusiastic and knowledgeable about growing a range of vegetable and fruit crops on at least a smallholding scale. Our ideal candidate will have a good knowledge of organic growing and/or some experience of it. We're hiring a Support Coach role to work within the Medway Supported Accommodation team. This team offers support to 52 residents across services in Gillingham, Chatham and Rochester for single homeless people andthose who may have a history of offending, these projects are commissioned by the Medway Council Housing Related Support team.  

As a Support Coach, you will identify individual resident needs and provide person centred, tailored support to residents to help them overcome their personal challenges and achieve their goals, during which we support them to improve their quality of life, access treatment programs, and secure stable housing. Our Medway homeless project focuses on people with a housing related support need we encourage service residents to develop coping strategies and supportive relationships to empower them to maintain their mental health, be a part of the community, and achieve their personal goals. Support enables service residents to significantly improve their opportunities and develop fulfilling and settled lives within the community. Join us on our mission to empower independence through trauma informed solutions and dynamic partnerships that keep people out of prison, out of hospital, and off the streets.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Keep support plans updated on our online portals as appropriate
• Supporting residents with daily tasks who may be facing challenges with complex needs such as mental health, substance use, homelessness and offending backgrounds
• Create tailored support plans through one to one sessions, group sessions, and multi agency meetings
• Holding a caseload, conducting key work sessions which are personable to their needs
• Monitor residents’ wellbeing, carrying out regular welfare checks, and responding to any incidents or emergencies
• Encourage residents to take part in activities and events such as movie nights, cooking evenings, and games nights
• Keep support plans up to date on a regular basis
• Work closely with the rest of the team to provide overall excellent service delivery, this may mean also supporting with their caseloads, and other tasks as necessary

LONG-TERM PLANS

This is a 6-month fixed-term contract to start. Because our immediate, laser-focused priority is smashing our Jingle Jam 2026 partnership in December, we need someone who can hit the ground running for this crucial period.

Your profile

This isn’t a rigid checklist, but here is what we’d love you to bring to the table:

• Fundraising Experience: You have proven experience of working in fundraising for charity, including how to chat to supporters, and how to craft and deliver outstanding supporter journeys

• Gaming & Creator Understanding: You have a proven interest in and/or knowledge of content creators and/or the gaming world. Bonus points if you’ve used platforms like Discord, Tiltify, and Twitch

• Relationship-building: You can chat authentically to digital-first stakeholders, community members, and internal teams alike

• Organised & On It: You’ll need to be able to jump in, juggle deadlines, and keep your project work tracking smoothly

• Passionate: A genuine empathy for CALM’s mission to prevent suicide

Coin Street Nursery is seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef to join our friendly and dedicated team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who takes pride in creating fresh, nutritious meals from scratch and is committed to promoting healthy eating for young children.

While experience in a nursery or similar setting is desirable, it is not essential. We welcome candidates with strong catering experience in preparing meals at scale who share our values around nutrition and quality.

We operate a busy nursery, preparing meals for up to 80 children and staff daily. The successful candidate will be highly organised, able to manage their own workload, and committed to maintaining high standards across all areas of the kitchen.

We are proud of our 5-star food hygiene rating and our excellent standards of cleanliness. Maintaining health and safety, food hygiene, and compliance will be central to your role. Working within a set budget, you will also be responsible for effective menu planning, stock control, and food purchasing, ensuring meals remain fresh, healthy, and varied.

You will play a key role in meeting the diverse dietary needs of our children. A strong understanding of allergies, intolerances, and special diets is essential to ensure every child receives safe, high-quality meals.
You will be supported by a part-time kitchen assistant; however, you will retain overall responsibility for the kitchen, including end-of-day cleaning and organisation.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and prepare nutritious, balanced meals for children and staff

We are looking for a Head Chef who can demonstrate:

• A current Food Hygiene Certificate

• Strong knowledge of dietary requirements, food hygiene, and health & safety 
• Good literacy, numeracy, and budget management skills 
• The ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with colleagues and children 
• A proactive approach to contributing to service development, including diverse and culturally inclusive menus

Line Management

This role is supported and supervised by the Head Chef.

Role Purpose

To prepare and deliver high-quality food for customers of The Granary, while contributing to a team environment that reflects the Christian mission of Caring For Life through excellent service, care, and hospitality.

You will play a key part in maintaining high standards in food preparation, hygiene, and customer service, while helping to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere for all who visit.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and present dishes to a consistently high standard in line with recipes, dietary requirements and allergen procedures
• Support the kitchen team in maintaining excellent food hygiene, safety, and cleanliness standards
• Ensure all food is prepared, stored, and served safely and correctly, including regular date and quality checks
• Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organised kitchen and restaurant environment at all times
• Assist with soups, daily specials, and menu items, contributing ideas where appropriate
• Support special events, functions, and private bookings when required
• Work collaboratively with the Head Chef to develop new dishes and products, including promoting Caring For Life farm produce where possible
• Provide a welcoming and friendly service to all customers, including elderly and vulnerable visitors, creating space for conversation and care
• Take part in team prayer times and contribute to the spiritual life of Caring For Life as appropriate
• Where appropriate, share personal testimony of Christian faith in a natural and respectful way with customers, volunteers, or the wider community

About You
