About the role
We are looking for an excellent and experienced relationship fundraiser, who excels at identifying and building inspiring and genuine connections with high net-worth individual donors, who have the capacity to give six- and seven- figure gifts.
This role requires a motivated, creative and confident individual, who thrives on getting out and about and meeting with supporters. The role will help shape the Business Development and Philanthropy Team’s plans to deliver outstanding donor engagement and stewardship so that our donors are inspired and proud to support us and enjoy their philanthropic giving experience. This role will make a vital contribution to delivering a step change in our philanthropic income growth to support Practical Action’s strategic ambition and mission.
About you
We are seeking a motivated, creative and confident individual, who thrives on getting out and about and meeting with supporters. You will have at least 5 years’ experience of securing gifts from high net-worth individuals making gifts privately or through family trusts, donor advised funds and corporations.
Accountabilities
- Lead the process of identifying and cultivating individual donor prospects (UK and international) capable of giving six- and seven- figure gifts, fully understanding their funding preferences, criteria and fit with Practical Action.
- Steward a portfolio of loyal and high-quality donors, giving five and six figure annual gifts and ensure our donors receive exceptional stewardship, feel valued for their support and become advocates of Practical Action to their friends, family and networks.
- Work with autonomy and represent Practical Action at one-to-one meetings and networking events with high net-worth individuals.
- Work with senior colleagues and the Board of Trustees to identify prospects, build relationships and secure gifts from high net-worth individuals.
- Distil complex information and messaging into powerful, emotive and high-quality tailored communications (including pitches, cases for support, bespoke proposals and donor reports) that demonstrate impact and inspire giving by individual donors and family trusts.

To be successful in the role, the ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate:
Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience:
- Significant fundraising experience (5 years+) of securing gifts from high net-worth individuals making gifts privately, or through family trusts, donor advised funds and corporations.
- Excellent knowledge about philanthropy sector developments, trends and key philanthropic organisations and networks in the UK and internationally.
- A strong and proven track record of building new prospect pipelines and of managing a portfolio of donors, including demonstrable experience of securing six- and seven-figure gifts.
- An experienced and confident networker with a proven ability to build and maintain a diverse group of contacts, at all levels, both internally and externally, and represent Practical Action to inspire, secure commitment and support.
- Knowledge of data protection principles, legal requirements, and ethical fundraising practice is essential.

The role
The volunteer officer will report to the volunteer manager.

Overall Purpose of the Role
The purpose of this role is to manage great quality, high impact marketing, brand and communications to support our funding, fundraising and supporter goals liaising with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
To effectively project manage the marketing and communications outputs across one or more of our three charity brands: Guy’s & St Thomas’ Charity, Evelina London Children’s Charity and Guy’s Cancer Charity - amplifying our need for charitable funds and the impact of these for the patients, families and staff of Guy’s and St Thomas’s NHS Foundation Trust.
- Project manage a number of marketing, design and communications activities from brief to evaluation that support the delivery of our ambitious ten year fundraising plan
- Contribute to income generation in support of the fundraising objectives and fundraising targets
- Contribute to increasing the number of supporters, increasing levels of awareness, reaching and engaging new audiences and existing audiences in fundraising and funding

Campaign project planning and implementation
- Lead the delivery of marketing materials and campaigns from brief to evaluation using project management tools to set, monitor and evaluate progress
- Develop and implement plans for marketing and communications activities, using a wide range of tactics to reach target audiences, setting objectives, KPIs and making the best use of tactics.
- Use a wide range of tactics to reach our audiences, making the best use of digital and social-media marketing, e-comms, Trust internal communications channels, events, PR, celebrity supporters and other relevant tactics.
- Collaborate with the Evelina London and Guy’s and St. Thomas’ Trust Communications Teams to agree plans and look for opportunities to work together to maximise impact.
- Act as main point of contact for Evelina London Trust Communications team, building strong relationships and specialist knowledge to best support future campaigns and objectives
- Act as a business partner to fundraising and funding teams to influence their marketing plans and support delivery, providing expertise on the Charity brands and expertise on a wide range of marketing tactics, including digital marketing, internal comms, PR and communications, events and collateral development.

This could include managing the delivery of the following –brand awareness and fundraising campaigns, impact reports, branded merchandise, case studies, challenge event collateral, digital assets, hospital onsite collateral, pull up banners, posters, leaflets, DM packs, fulfilment materials, digital assets including videos, photography and animations for social media

Work environment
The post holder should expect to:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Internal Auditor join a large not-for-profit organisation on a 1 year fixed term contract. The postholder will be performing branch audits and special investigations regarding branch queries. Summary of the role:
The Head of Income Generation & Marketing is a key member of Muslim Aid’s Leadership Team, responsible for executing the organisation’s fundraising and marketing strategy and overseeing all marketing and communications activities across the organisation. Key duties and responsibilities:
Management Accounting & Reporting
- Produce timely, accurate monthly management accounts using QuickBooks.
- Prepare detailed restricted and unrestricted fund analysis.

Title: Project Officer, Inclusive Eye Health Project - maternity cover

Anticipated Consultancy Length: Four Months
Overall objective
The purpose of this consultancy is to provide maternity cover services for a period of four months (01 April-31 July 2026) for the Project Officer, Inclusive Eye Health Project. The Project Officer leads and coordinates the implementation of Inclusive Eye Health (IEH) programmes in Matabeleland North, Zimbabwe. The role is designed to ensure effective collaboration with the Ministry of Health and Child Care, Organisations of Persons with Disabilities (OPDs), and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality eye health services in the province. Since the project is implemented in all the 7 districts of Matabeleland North Province, it is practical to have this person based in a satellite office in Bulawayo for easy coordination of stakeholders and project activities.
The Project Officer is responsible for managing daily operations, monitoring and evaluating project outcomes, supporting capacity building, and contributing to research and innovation. Ultimately, the position aims to enhance the impact and quality of Sightsavers’ programmes through strategic coordination, partnership management, and continuous improvement.
Principal Accountabilities (specific activities and end results):
Project coordination
- Support all Sightsavers supported eye health activities by providing effective management and coordination to the project to ensure the delivery of set targets.

- The position will be responsible for guiding the overall Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) Strategy and use of M&E methodology necessary for attaining the project goals.
- Monitor project expenditure to ensure that it is in line with the budget envelope and value for money is observed.
Representation and Networking

Budget and payment schedule

- Degree in Public Health, Social Sciences, or related disciplines (post-graduate degree will be an advantage).
- Extensive experience in programme/project management, ideally in an INGO setting.
- Technical knowledge of Eye Health in Zimbabwe
- Understanding of Disability Inclusive Development
- Experience in working with OPDs groups will be an added advantage.
- Experience in monitoring and evaluation and research
- Understanding of the health system in Zimbabwe
- Experience in advocacy.

As the Digital Communications Officer, you will play a vital role in enabling the WEA to meet our mission to bring adult education within reach of everyone who needs it, fighting inequality and promoting social justice.
The post holder will be responsible for supporting the Digital Branding Manager with the delivery of impactful digital campaigns (web, social media, email marketing, PR/comms) that focus on promoting our work to a variety of audiences and stakeholders, enabling us to create change for thousands of adult learners across England and Scotland. There will be a particular focus on social media within this role – you would be the WEA social media guru!
This role isn’t about marketing WEA courses, it’s about showcasing the impact of lifelong learning, growing our membership and influencing decision makers and the public. This role would suit a self-starter with knowledge and experience of the social media and digital communications landscape and can think big picture about campaigning activity. We are looking for someone who can film and edit social media content to a high standard as we look to grow our in-house produced social content.
Charity comms experience and experience of working within a charity/non-profit would be an advantage. We are a new team with high ambitions and exciting challenges looking for a creative storyteller who can shape our voice, drive conversations around our work and grow our reach.
