About the Role
As a Team Leader, you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality, outcome-focused services to victims of crime, while managing and supporting a team of frontline staff. You will play a key role in ensuring compliance with service specifications, maintaining performance standards, and driving continuous improvement.
You will work collaboratively with the Operations Manager and wider management team to develop services and maximise positive outcomes for clients.
As a Team Leader, you will:
- Lead, motivate and support a team of frontline staff to deliver excellent victim-centred services.
- Manage team performance, including case allocation, audits, and monitoring KPIs and quality standards.
- Ensure accurate and compliant case recording and reporting through case management systems.
- Oversee safeguarding practices, providing advice and guidance on complex or high-risk cases.
- Analyse data and trends to effectively manage caseloads and resources.
- Support staff to carry out risk and impact assessments and manage challenging situations.
- Lead recruitment, induction, supervision, and ongoing development of team members.

About You

You will need:
- Strong understanding of the criminal justice system and the impact of crime on victims.
- Experience in managing or supervising staff within a service delivery environment.

Responsibilities of the Role:
Recruitment of Volunteers (puppy socialisers, holiday cover, and fosterers)

- Update the Harlequin CRM and Assemble database promptly to maintain accurate and up to date records of all dog volunteers, e.g. what training they have received etc.

Responsibilities of the Role:
Recruitment of Volunteers (puppy socialisers, holiday cover, and fosterers)
- To liaise with volunteering team regarding current recruitment areas and support on the ground recruitment activities in the relevant regions, involving volunteers and dogs where appropriate
- To manage the process of dog volunteer recruitment
- To oversee that necessary checks have been completed to assess prospective new dog volunteers, including home, workplace, pet dog and children assessments, when required
- Inform stakeholders when a dog volunteer is signed off and ready to have an MDD living with them

- Deliver effective training by organising dog handling classes before volunteers receive their Medical Detection Dog
- Oversee the online training pathway for all dog volunteers

- Be the first point of contact for all dog volunteers during the application and training process
- Link volunteers with appropriate buddies prior to placement of a puppy/dog

- To manage the Puppy Socialisers Facebook page, delivering key training messages via this platform.
- Update the Harlequin CRM and Assemble database promptly to maintain accurate and up to date records of all dog volunteers, e.g. what training they have received etc.
- Support the Dog Training and Partnership Instructor in matching and allocating dog volunteers with MDD puppies
- Support the charity’s fundraising, communications and volunteering teams as required, specifically in relation to your area

We're looking for two Events & Marketing Assistants to join our small, busy team at Portsmouth Cathedral. It's a varied, practical role that sits right at the heart of our commercial operations - coordinating venue hire bookings, setting up for evening concerts, supporting licensed events, and everything in between. Essential Skills and Experience

Strong organisational and administrative skills, with excellent attention to detail.

Good communication skills, with the ability to liaise confidently with clients, suppliers, volunteers, and colleagues.

Physical ability to undertake manual handling tasks, including moving heavy furniture, staging, and equipment

IT literatcy with proficiency in Microsoft 365 and confidence using digital booking or CRM systems.

A proactive and adaptable approach, with a willingness to contribute across both administrative and operational tasks.

Understanding of basic health and safety regulations relevant to events.

Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends, in line with a rolling rota.

Comfortable working within a faith-based organisation and supportive of its Christian values.
