We work at the intersect of suicide prevention, online safety, and tech accountability to demand a safer online world and move beyond the preventable harm. Working closely with the Head of Partnerships and Fundraising, we’re looking for a Trusts and Foundations Manager to join our small team at a critical growth point to build and deliver a Trusts Fundraising Strategy (currently projected to generate c.£600K in 2027) laying the groundwork for long term, sustainable income generation as part of our wider Fundraising Strategy.

This is a new role for someone with substantial experience working in Trusts Fundraising, as well as strong project development skills, who can take our fledgling portfolio of funders and transform it into a pool of engaged supporters invested in MRF’s work in the long-term. You will have a demonstrable track record of securing five-six figure sums, the ability to create propositions in collaboration with programmatic colleagues, and the confidence to present compelling cases for support to a range of philanthropic organisations. You will also have excellent communication skills both written and verbal, a keen eye for connecting philanthropic organisations to the right projects to develop meaningful relationships, and the skills to deliver high-quality, detailed bids to further our strategic objectives.

We're particularly interested in hearing from applicants with experience working in one or more of the following areas: online safety, tech accountability, suicide prevention, education or children’s mental health.

Key responsibilites

• Work closely with the Digital Officer to plan, deliver and optimise digital marketing activity, ensuring campaigns are effectively implemented, performance is monitored, and learning is shared.
• Lead brand and messaging delivery, working closely with the Head of Brand and Marketing to bring the brand to life day to day, ensuring messaging is warm, clear, consistent and people-centred, and supporting colleagues through effective internal communications to use the brand and tone of voice confidently and consistently.
• Drive insight and continuous improvement, using data, feedback and performance analysis to shape marketing plans, share learning across teams, and take a test-and-learn approach to improving reach, relevance and impact.
• Build strong, collaborative working relationships across the organisation and with external partners, working closely with the Events Lead to ensure effective promotion and storytelling, managing agencies or freelancers where needed, and ensuring all marketing activity reflects brand standards, safeguarding, GDPR and equality commitments.

Background Information and Purpose of Post

The main purpose of the post is to:

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Media relations

· Work alongside the Media and Communications Manager to develop and deliver a targeted media and communications strategy that supports fundraising and brand awareness goals.

· Build and maintain relationships with UK and international journalists and producers.

· Proactively identify and pitch story and interview opportunities to secure coverage.

· Draft and distribute press releases, statements and reactive lines, including during breaking news and emergencies.

· Prepare and brief spokespeople for media opportunities and coordinate interviews.

· Facilitate media visits to overseas programmes in coordination with HI Federation and country offices and accompany journalists on visits where required.

· Contribute to applications and pitches for media fundraising appeals and partnerships.

Content production

· Ensure that HI UK's website is well maintained and that static webpages are up to date.

· Regularly create and publish engaging news and stories on the website and social media channels.

· Develop in-house digital content (including blogs, photo stories, infographics and video) for UK audiences

· Lead on the design, layout and copy of HI UK's printed materials, using Adobe InDesign to produce professional, branded assets such as the annual report, banners and leaflets.

· Ensure that all communications reflect HI’s values and standards on consent, safeguarding, and ethical, inclusive storytelling.

Communications

· Actively contribute to HI UK's communications planning and editorial calendar.

· Work collaboratively across HI UK to increase consistency and quality of communications on HI's brand, activities and key campaigns.

· Coordinate with the private fundraising team to maximise HI UK’s brand impact and ensure that communications content strengthens supporter engagement.

· Develop media and communications activities to complement fundraising campaigns, particularly emergency appeals.

· Ensure consistent recognition of HI UK’s key funders and partners across communication channels and branded materials.

· Contribute to the roll-out of HI's global communications campaigns in the UK

· Support HI UK’s participation in public-facing campaigns with external coalitions and partners.

This is a pivotal role for an experienced digital leader at the heart of London's Air Ambulance Charity's fundraising, marketing and engagement ambitions.

You’ll own all the digital marketing platforms and channels. You’ll lead the delivery of the charity's digital marketing roadmap. The aim is to bring together the website and fundraising platforms, supporter communications/email, organic social, digital content, paid media, analytics, supporter journeys, online experiences and emerging technologies into a cohesive approach that brings measurable engagement, income and impact. The Major Giving team is made up of corporate partnerships, philanthropy and trusts and raises £6 million a year from our partners, funders and donors. It is part of the Income Generation directorate, which includes Individual Giving, Organisational Insight and Supporter Relations.

Who you are:

As a fundraising generalist, you will be well organised, provide strong administrative support, give excellent supporter care, write strong copy and be able to coordinate content creation.

Ideally you will have fundraising experience across a variety of relevant income streams, although we are interested to hear from candidates who have relevant transferable skills.

Primary duties:

• You will be responsible for continuing to grow our legacy programme, implementing the strategy developed by the Head of Development. This will include drafting copy and working with a designer to create evergreen legacy content, creating and maintaining content for our website, coordinating and drafting legacy communications and campaigns, managing legacy enquiries, thanking and stewarding legacy pledgers, and managing the legacy pipeline in Beacon.

• You will support our community fundraising strategy. • You will complete due diligence on donors and donations where required. This will include desktop research, completing relevant forms and information in Beacon, and making sure relevant approvals are obtained before accepting donations or approaching new donors or funders.

• You will coordinate essential thanking activities for key donors and supporters. This will include coordinating the design and printing of thanking cards, and other relevant stewardship materials or merchandise, to be utilised by those across the organisation, including to support our volunteers. • You will provide vital administrative support for events, including our annual presence at conferences such as EA Global in London, as well as our own annual supporter event. As the Community and Events Fundraising Officer, you will play a key part in ending youth homelessness in Scotland by inspiring people to support Rock Trust.

You will deliver exceptional supporter care and create meaningful experiences for everyone fundraising for us. This Community and Events Fundraising Officer role could work up to 40% of the week remotely. While 60% of the role would be ‘office based’, in practise this could mean out in the community meeting groups, delivering presentations, or at events.
