This is a practical, hands-on leadership role at the heart of Richmond CVS’s work with local charities and community groups. The postholder will lead our support to voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) organisations across the borough – helping them to grow stronger and more sustainable.

The main focus of the role is to strengthen the fundraising skills and income generation of local organisations, alongside providing high-quality advice on governance, planning and strategy. The role requires curiosity, creativity and strong problem-solving skills to help organisations find practical solutions to real-world challenges.

Richmond CVS already works with a range of experienced consultants and trainers and has an established suite of training resources. The postholder is not expected to be an expert in every aspect of charity management. A key part of the role is to coordinate and facilitate this support, drawing on specialist expertise where needed, while providing direct advice particularly in relation to fundraising and the fundamentals of good governance.

Working with a small, passionate team, you will deliver support, facilitate learning and manage projects that make a real difference to grassroots groups.

Key Responsibilities

Organisational Support 

· Provide practical tailored advice and support to VCSE organisations on governance, fundraising, income generation, and strategic planning.

· Help groups to identify funding opportunities and develop strong, realistic funding applications 

· Support organisations to become more sustainable and resilient 

· Develop clear resources, toolkits and guidance 

· Ensure all support is inclusive and accessible 

Training & Events

· Oversee and coordinate a high-quality programme of training and learning opportunities 

· Work with an established network of external trainers and consultants to deliver specialist training 

· Facilitate meetings, workshops and network events where appropriate 

· Develop new learning opportunities based on emerging needs 

· Maintain and develop existing Richmond CVS training materials and resources

Project & Programme Management

Reporting to the Marketing Manager, you will play a key role in supporting our digital strategy, with responsibility for implementing our social media strategy to help the CoSRH meet its business objectives.

We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic Social Media and Marketing Officer to join our small but dynamic marketing team. In this role, you will manage our digital communications to members and prospective members, working alongside the Digital Team.

You will be responsible for creating original copy and multimedia content, managing our email newsletters, and paid and organic digital communications. You will manage our social media accounts (e.g. LinkedIn, Instagram) and ensure activities are aligned to our campaign and brand goals. You will focus on tailoring our communications for our range of audiences – from doctors and nurses, to midwives, pharmacists and other healthcare professionals. You will ensure our brand identity is applied in a consistent and cohesive way. You will have excellent communication skills and be able to express our messages and values accurately and creatively.

You will have experience of working with a content planner, and you’ll be able to work across teams to create and deliver communications solutions to support the achievement of their strategic objectives. This includes our suite of qualifications, courses and assessments, our dedicated events programme, and the advocacy work of our External Affairs team.

You will have proven experience in delivering multi-channel digital activity, including paid advertising, to optimise digital impact and maximise audience engagement. You will also have experience of understanding data and using analytics to measure activity and increase impact.

This role is offered on a full-time, 12month fixed-term contract, 35 hours per week, and we are looking for someone to start as soon as possible.

About this role

The Philanthropy Manager will own an assigned portfolio of prospects and donors at five to six figure level and act as the day-to-day relationship manager within that portfolio.

The role plans and delivers cultivation, solicitation and stewardship activity to agreed KPIs, makes timely operational decisions within scope, and escalates risks/opportunities early.

The post holder contributes evidence and insight into team planning, supports senior colleagues on major/strategic accounts, and collaborates across teams to ensure high quality, inclusive delivery.

Open Rights Group (ORG) is recruiting for a Pre-Crime Programme Manager

The Pre-Crime Programme Manager leads our work on predictive policing and surveillance within the criminal legal system and counter-terrorism policy, with a particular focus on raising awareness of, and challenging, the impact on over-policed and over-surveilled communities.

They are responsible for the development and implementation of the Pre-Crime programme, working with the Senior Management Team (SMT) and other staff to expand the programme’s profile, network and funding opportunities.

As a Programme Lead, they will also be responsible for working with the SMT and other Area or Programme leads to further develop and uphold ORG’s values and collaborative working culture. They will be recognised as an issue-expert and senior leader within the organisation.

Activities

This is a permanent position at Open Rights Group, and we have secured a number of project grants to deliver the following activities:

• Lead and manage the Safety Not Surveillance (SNS) Coalition, the UK’s only coalition fighting to prohibit AI- and data-driven predictive policing. SNS brings together grassroots partners with national organisations to build power in communities, secure media coverage, engage decision-makers and mobilise those with lived experience.

• Develop detailed policy positions on the deployment of AI and data-driven technologies by private and public actors in criminal justice, immigration and national security.

• Advocacy to encourage decision makers, including MPs, Lords, Government departments and the Information Commissioner’s Office, to adopt ORG’s and the coalition’s recommendations.

• Conduct campaigns that raise awareness of the threats posed to people’s digital rights by the data-driven technologies in policing and counter-terrorism, as well as more broadly.

• Through research and FOIs, help build a legal case with our partners against covert Police-led pathways under Prevent, the UK’s counter-terrorism programme.

• Opportunities to campaign against digital ID, the Online Safety Act and to protect freedom of expression.

What we’re looking for

FFLAG is a national voluntary organisation and registered charity and is the UK’s longest established parent support charity in the LGBT+ sector. We are seeking a Communications and Marketing Manager to shape how our work is seen, understood and engaged with across local government and public policy. This role will lead the day-to-day delivery of our communications and marketing activity at a moment of growing influence and impact for the organisation.

Working horizontally across New Local’s practice, membership, policy and events work, the postholder will help ensure our ideas, relationships and activity are brought together coherently and effectively for our audiences. You will play a central role in developing compelling stories from our research, practice and partnerships, including the work of member councils. To do this, an interest in and understanding of the changing relationship between citizens and the state at a local level will be an important asset. 

This is a hands-on role for an experienced communications professional who combines strong editorial and digital skills with a willingness to think strategically, sound judgement and creativity. Success will be measured not just by the quality of individual outputs, but by the extent to which New Local’s communications feel joined-up, collaborative and mutually reinforcing across teams, extending the reach, influence and impact of our work. 

Your job will include: 

• Leading and delivering New Local’s communications and marketing activity, aligning content, channels and campaigns with organisational priorities and positioning. 

• Planning and coordinating communications for key publications, events, campaigns and moments, managing an editorial calendar that brings together policy, practice, membership and external opportunities. 

• Overseeing New Local’s digital presence, including the website, newsletters and social media, ensuring content is timely, engaging and high quality. 

• Working horizontally across teams to align messaging and identify shared stories, shaping joined-up communications that support membership growth, events, partnerships and policy influence. 

• Creating and commissioning high-quality content and assets, including written content, design and digital materials, drawing out strong stories from members and partners. 

• Using media, insight and data to extend reach and impact, supporting press engagement, monitoring performance and continuously improving communications activity.

The Royal Commission's diverse and growing alumni community spans academia, industry, science, engineering, and the arts. We are now seeking an Alumni Manager to strengthen engagement with this community and help build meaningful, long-term relationships that enhance the impact of our programmes.

The Royal Commission for the Exhibition of 1851 is a historic charitable foundation established to carry forward the legacy of the Great Exhibition. Today, we support excellence in research, innovation, and STEM education through prestigious postgraduate fellowships and awards, alongside the stewardship of our South Kensington estate.

The Role

Reporting to the Secretary to the Royal Commission, the Alumni Manager will lead the coordination and delivery of our alumni strategy. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with strong communication and organisational skills who enjoys building communities and working in the not-for-profit or higher education sector.

Key Responsibilities

Alumni Relations & Community Building

· Maintain and develop the Commission’s alumni network, fostering long-term engagement.

· Work with the Secretary and Alumni Steering Group to develop and deliver an alumni engagement plan.

· Act as the main point of contact for alumni enquiries.

· Manage alumni use of Commission facilities.

Communications & Content

· Produce newsletters, alumni profiles, updates, and case studies.

· Manage alumni-related online content, including website updates and mailing lists.

· Coordinate content and publication of the annual external stakeholder magazine.

· Develop targeted communications for different alumni audiences.

Events

· Plan and deliver dedicated alumni events.

· Support alumni in delivering their own events.

· Assist the Events Coordinator and executive team with other Commission events.

Data & Administration

· Maintain and develop the alumni database, CRM (Hivebrite), survey tools, and internal records.

· Ensure alumni data is accurate and up to date.

· Track engagement metrics and prepare reports for internal review.

You may also be required to undertake other duties reasonably associated with the role.

About You

Essential qualities

· Experience in alumni relations, community management, stakeholder engagement, or a similar role.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

· Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects.

· Experience planning and delivering events.

· Ability to build positive relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.

· Proficiency in CRM or database systems and Microsoft Office.

Desirable

· Experience in higher education, charities, research organisations, or learned societies.

· Understanding of academic or research environments.

· Experience in digital communications, content creation, or website management.

Salary & Benefits

Salary: £16,932 per annum (10 hours per week; £59,262 FTE).

Flexible working hours agreed with the Secretary, within core hours of 10am–4pm.

At least one day per week working from the office.

Annual leave: 8.5 days plus public holidays (pro rata).

Employer pension contribution of 15% of gross salary via The People’s Pension or a personal pension scheme.
