About the Role  

As Funding and Compliance Officer, you will play a key role in managing the full assessment lifecycle, from answering applicants' queries and presenting at funding webinars, to assessing applications through to completion. You will review funding applications, undertake due diligence and present clear, well-evidenced funding recommendations to inform decision-making. 

Working closely with applicants, Lloyds Banking Group colleagues and external partners, you will  provide a responsive and professional service throughout the funding process. You will also ensure accurate grant management through Salesforce, ensuring exceptionally clean data for audit and research purposes. You will also contribute to improving how we work, using feedback and insight to enhance processes and practice across the team. 

Alongside this, you will support risk and wider compliance activity, helping to maintain strong governance and regulatory standards, including cross-organisational contract management.

You bring experience of grant-making or grant management, including assessment, compliance, contract management and reporting, ideally with exposure to safeguarding within a funding environment. You are confident applying criteria consistently and using sound judgement to inform decisions.

About the Role

We’re hiring a Trauma Stabilisation Worker to join our team based in Hove. In this role, you will support women who have experienced significant trauma and multiple disadvantages, including domestic and sexual violence, exploitation, homelessness, mental ill-health and substance use.

As a Trauma Stabilisation Worker, you will deliver person-centred support and structured interventions to help residents manage trauma, build emotional regulation skills and develop coping strategies to support recovery and housing stability. You will work closely with colleagues and external partners to maintain a trauma-informed, psychologically informed environment that promotes safety, consistency and positive outcomes.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Support residents experiencing trauma, mental ill-health, substance use, homelessness and complex needs

• Deliver structured 1:1 trauma stabilisation interventions and maintain a manageable caseload

• Help residents build emotional regulation, coping skills, and confidence to sustain housing and move forward positively

• Create and review personalised support plans through one-to-one work, group sessions, and multi agency collaboration

• Recognise and respond to risks, including safeguarding concerns and deterioration in mental health

• Plan and deliver trauma-informed group activities and contribute to house meetings

• Work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners to provide joined up support

• Keep accurate, timely records and maintain high standards of case management and confidentiality

• Support residents in crisis while maintaining clear professional boundaries

• Lone working is part of the role, with support from a wider team

About You

We’re looking for an empathetic and resilient individual who understands the impact of trauma and the challenges faced by women with multiple and complex needs. You will have experience supporting people affected by issues such as domestic abuse, mental ill-health, homelessness, and substance use. You will be confident delivering structured support, including one-to-one interventions and group work and be able to engage individuals who may be in distress or disengaged from services. 

You’ll be proactive, organised, and able to manage a varied workload, while working collaboratively within a team. You will be able to work collaboratively as part of a team, and will have alignment with our SIG values. You will be keen to support our residents to achieve their individual goals and support them to be the best versions of themselves.

Role Overview: 

Reporting to the Mental Health Programme Lead, the post-holder will be responsible for delivering a 10 week, 1:1 personal training programme to clients with severe mental health illnesses (SMI) which can include: Bipolar, Schizophrenia, Severe Clinical Depression. Job Summary

As Senior IDVA you will work within a dynamic, fast-paced crisis intervention, advocacy, and support service to ensure the voice of survivors informs every stage of the process. This role combines oversight of the Duty IDVA service with specialist responsibility for MARAC coordination and participation. You will lead on MARAC responsibilities, oversee the Duty service, line manage two Duty IDVAs, support the Angelou Service Manager with administrative tasks, and hold a reduced caseload providing high-quality advocacy and support based on client-led needs and risk assessments.

You will ensure that the Duty service runs effectively, maintaining referral pathways, ensuring that documents and procedures are in place and embedded into working practice supporting those covering duty as required.

You will line manage the Duty IDVAs and will manage the allocation of cases from duty, liaising with Managers. You will assist the Manager with data collection, data analysis and problem solving.

Acting as the MARAC lead for the team you will oversee the quality of the internal MARAC process, ensuring cases are prepared and presented effectively, attend MARAC meetings on a rota basis and follow up on agreed actions.

You will also contribute to duty work, conducting calls and initial assessments and responding to crises, working within the team to make proactive contact and provide high quality advocacy and support based upon a client led needs and risk assessment to women referred to our service.

You will have an excellent understanding of domestic violence and its effects on women and children and of best practice within the domestic abuse sector and in working with women with children. The post holder will be proficient in data collection and case work recording. As an experienced domestic violence advocate who has worked with complex and multiple needs, you will be skilled in risk management and safety planning, remaining calm in a crisis and in handling sensitive information on a daily basis. Experience of direct work with female survivors of domestic violence and of working within safeguarding procedures is essential for this post, as is the need to adopt and promote a strong partnership approach to service provision.

• Maintain accurate records in Salesforce CRM, including member data, reporting and activity tracking.

Wider Responsibilities

• Respond to general membership and professional registration phone enquiries as part of the team rota.
• Help coordinate the annual awards and bursary programme, working with internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Collaborate with colleagues across the wider Membership and Marketing departments.
• Provide support across the department and contribute to wider Strategic Projects work.
• Represent CIBSE at ad hoc events, conferences and exhibitions.

Interactions

Internal

Work in a team which provides support for the Institution’s membership growth and development and liaise with the Membership and Registration, Networks and Engagement and Marketing teams as appropriate.

External 

Provide advice and information to both individuals and Engineering/Construction companies to promote membership growth and retention with a particular focus on membership development.
