The Regional Fundraising Manager (National Programme Development) will lead the creation, development and delivery of Camphill Village Trust’s community fundraising programme.
You will establish community fundraising as a sustainable and growing income stream across the trust by creating a framework that can be scaled across Camphill Village Trust nationally.
This role combines strategic planning, relationship building, and programme development but also encompasses hands-on delivery across our northern communities. You will play a key role in raising awareness of Camphill Village Trust, strengthening community connections and creating opportunities for supporters to help more people with learning disabilities and autism live extraordinary lives.
Main Responsibilities:
- Create and deliver a community fundraising strategy that lays the foundations for long-term national growth.
- Develop and manage the community fundraising budget and forecasting processes.
- Design and launch engaging fundraising products including DIY fundraising, challenge events, in-house events, schools, community groups and local organisations.
- Create fundraising resources, toolkits and supporter materials that make it easy for people to get involved.
- Establish KPIs, reporting frameworks and performance measures to track success and inform future growth.
- Build strong relationships with supporters, volunteers, schools, community groups and local businesses.
- Identify regional corporate fundraising opportunities and partnerships and work with the Philanthropy Manager to develop these relationships.
- Work closely with Marketing and Communications colleagues to raise awareness of fundraising opportunities and campaigns.
- Act as a key link between fundraising and operational teams across Camphill Village Trust.
- Spend time within communities, building relationships with people we support, staff and families.
- Identify compelling fundraising stories and case studies.
- Support the involvement of people we support in fundraising activities where appropriate.
- Support fundraising volunteers and ambassadors.
- Line manage and develop the Regional Fundraising team – Initially 1 x Regional Fundraising Officer (Central/South) with a view to future expansion.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across Supporter Care, Individual Giving, Philanthropy, Legacy and In-Memory fundraising.
- Ensure fundraising activity is delivered in line with relevant regulations, policies and best practice.
Knowledge & Experience:
Essential:
- At least three years' experience in community fundraising, supporter engagement or a related fundraising role.
- Experience developing and delivering fundraising campaigns, activities or products.
- Previous experience of developing fundraising strategy.
- Ability to build relationships with supporters, volunteers, community groups and local organisations.
- Experience using CRM systems and fundraising data.
- Experience recruiting, managing and developing staff.
- Experience setting KPIs, monitoring performance and reporting outcomes.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively across teams and departments.
- Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.

Location & Travel:

This is a hybrid role with a minimum of two days per week based within Camphill Village Trust communities.
We are looking for someone who enjoys being out in the community. This is not a desk-based fundraising role. You will spend significant time building relationships, identifying opportunities, meeting supporters and representing Camphill Village Trust across the region.
The successful candidate should live within reasonable commuting distance of our three communities in the north-east (based in North Yorkshire and Middlesbrough). Regular travel across the region and occasional travel to other Trust communities will be required, along with some overnight stays, evening and weekend work.

The role
The supporter care officerwill report to the senior individual giving manager.

The team
Our dynamic fundraising department generated £4.5m through donations in 2025/26, and we are now preparing for an ambitious £50m fundraising campaign in support of a ground-breaking £100m cancer centre on the site of the Royal Free Hospital.
We pride ourselves on being a supporter-focused and agile function, working at the heart of the charity to deliver impact for patients and staff across our hospitals.
Responsible for attracting and retaining donors, and delivering an outstanding supporter experience, the fundraising department comprises three teams which work closely together to achieve our shared objectives:
- Our philanthropy & campaigns team builds relationships with individual philanthropists, trusts, foundations, corporate organisations and intermediaries, giving or facilitating donations of £10,000 or more to the charity each year. They lead major appeal activity for the charity, currently focused on our forthcoming cancer campaign, and special events to support these activities.
- Our public fundraising team harnesses the support and energy of individuals and groups, helping them to give back in the way that works for them. This includes committed giving, in memory support, gifts in wills, and fundraising events and challenges.
- The Fundraising Operations team develop and maintain the foundation to underpin and support the fundraising activity of the entire department, including campaign operations, data, governance, prospect research and stewardship.

About the role

Key Responsibilities
Fundraising:
- Meet an annual income target for the region.

Maximising digital platforms:
- Use social media platforms, e.g. Facebook, X, to support fundraising initiatives, supporter journey and relationship building.
- Use digital event and online fundraising platforms to support events, fundraising and engagement.
Financial and reporting:
- Monitor regional income/expenditure monthly against budget.
- Report on variances and implement appropriate contingency plans.
- Maintain the charity database with timely and accurate donor, supporter and third-party information ensuring compliance with GDPR.
- To report back on a regular basis to the Head of Community Fundraising and Events as to activity, progress and achievement against identified financial and soft targets.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Essential:
- Proactive and confident self-starter with experience of raising funds or from equivalent experience gained either within the voluntary sector or the commercial world.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills coupled with an enthusiastic and positive approach.
- Ability to work as part of a team and to contribute towards the success of the Community Fundraising team and wider team at Hearing Dogs.
- Computer literate with MS365 applications and knowledge and experience of databases and an ability to keep accurate records of all contacts and relevant information.
- Ability to work on own, without close and constant support and supervision and to be able to handle pressure, deadlines and targets.
- Educated to A Level or equivalent.
- A full current driving license.

About the role
As our Fundraising Manager, you will have a genuinely influential role in making that ambition possible. Working closely with our Director and wider team, you will take the lead on developing and delivering our fundraising strategy across trusts and foundations, major donors, regular giving, community fundraising, corporate partnerships and legacies.
This is not a role where you will be one small part of a large fundraising machine. You will have the opportunity to shape our approach, develop meaningful relationships with supporters and funders, identify new opportunities and turn our impact into compelling propositions that inspire people to give.

Suicide is the leading cause of death of men under 35 and three quarters of those who die by suicide are men. James’ Place exists to save the lives of men in suicidal crisis through delivering clinical services. We are a charity currently offering free, life-saving therapy to suicidal men at our centres in Liverpool, London, Newcastle and Birmingham.
James’ Place was set up by Clare Milford Haven and Nick Wentworth-Stanley after their twenty-one-year-old son, James, died by suicide ten days after a minor operation. James had no history of mental illness or depression and had sought urgent help for anxiety and suicidal thoughts but didn’t find it.
James' Place was set up to make the experience of finding help as easy as possible. THE OPPORTUNITY
This is a new role designed to raise and facilitate fundraising for James’ Place Liverpool and to grow community relationships across the region to raise vital funds for James’ Place.
As part of the Fundraising team, you will take a leading role in building strong networks across Liverpool and the North West, helping to establish our centre as a sustainable source of life-saving support for men in suicidal crisis.

2. SPECIFIC ROLE RESPONSIBILITY
A. STRATEGIC FUNDRAISING LEADERSHIP
- Lead the implementation and delivery of the fundraising strategy and income action plan.
- Develop and manage a rolling 12–24 month fundraising pipeline.
- Set and monitor annual and quarterly income targets.
- Establish systems, processes and KPI dashboards to track performance.
- Identify new income opportunities aligned to Trust priorities.
B. INCOME GENERATION
Corporate Partnerships & Sponsorship
- Design and deliver tiered corporate partnership packages.
- Identify and secure new business partnerships across Nottinghamshire and the region.

Working in close partnership with SUDEP Action's other Fundraising Manager (who oversees Community fundraising, Trusts and Grants and other aspects of our in-memory giving), the postholder will also share responsibility for the development, delivery and performance of wider fundraising activity across the charity.
A significant aspect of this role will involve re-engaging existing high-value supporters while identifying and cultivating new prospects. The ideal candidate will be confident networking, opening doors, building meaningful relationships and inspiring people to support a cause that may be unfamiliar to them.
The postholder will work collaboratively with colleagues across the organisation, including fundraising colleagues, the CEO, and wider management team, drawing upon their expertise to develop effective fundraising plans, test assumptions and ensure the charity is represented professionally, authentically and consistently.
Given the nature of SUDEP Action's work, the role also requires sensitivity, empathy and the ability to engage thoughtfully with people affected by epilepsy and bereavement.

Role Summary
Reporting to the Founder, the Fundraising & Partnerships Manager will lead the charity’s fundraising andpartnership development activity across a range of income streams, including trusts and foundations, corporate partnerships, major donors and individual giving.
