About Us
Since 1854, Embrace has been serving some of the most marginalised and excluded communities (of all faiths and none) in the Middle East. We support, enable and partner with Christians in the Middle East as they work to transform lives and restore dignity through education, healthcare and community development programmes. Without our staff, this important work simply would not be possible.
About You
We are looking for an organised, proactive and detail-oriented professional who enjoys working collaboratively and building strong relationships with a wide range of people and organisations both nationally and internationally. You will be an excellent administrator with strong coordination and communication skills, able to manage multiple priorities, maintain accurate records and deliver high-quality work to deadlines. Confident using Microsoft 365 and digital systems, you will be comfortable handling sensitive information, supporting compliance processes and learning new systems quickly. Experience in the charity, international development, humanitarian or faith-based sectors would be advantageous, particularly where this includes programme, partnership or grant management support. Above all, you will share our values, demonstrate cultural sensitivity and be enthusiastic about contributing to Embrace's mission and Christian ethos.
Role Overview
This is an exciting opportunity to play a meaningful role in helping Embrace the Middle East bring hope, dignity and lasting change to some of the region's most vulnerable communities. Working alongside local Christian partners and churches in the Middle East, you will help to ensure that life-changing programmes are delivered effectively, relationships are nurtured and vital support reaches those who need it most.
As a key member of the Programmes, Partnerships and Advocacy team, you will coordinate programme activities, support grant and partnership management processes, maintain high-quality information and contribute to projects that strengthen our impact across the Middle East. You will work closely with colleagues across the organisation, helping to translate programme insight into compelling stories, fundraising initiatives, advocacy work and supporter engagement. This is a varied and rewarding role that offers the opportunity to make a tangible contribution to Embrace's mission while developing your experience within international development and partnership management.
Hours: Full or part-time (36.5 / 30 hours per week) applications will be considered.
Contract: Two-year fixed-term contract.

About You
If this sounds like you, we’d love to hear from you!
About working for Pancreatic Cancer UK
This is a fast-paced and growing organisation that is committed to making a difference to people with Pancreatic Cancer through research, support and campaigning. Being a part of our team is being part of a thriving, positive, successful, and welcoming community that is making an impact. We will support and develop you. There are opportunities to get involved in activities outside the scope of your immediate role. We care about your health and well-being and your work-life balance. You will feel that your contribution is valued and matters.
About us
Pancreatic cancer is a tough one, but we're taking it on. It is tough to diagnose, tough to treat, and tough to research. For too long this disease has been sidelined. We want to make sure that everyone affected by it gets all the help they need. Together we are taking on pancreatic cancer. Underpinning this vision are our three values:
We cannot achieve our vision without employing people who are committed to our vision, strategy, and values.
At Pancreatic Cancer UK (PCUK) our ambition is to create an inclusive working environment that reflects the communities and audiences that we engage with and where everyone can be their true selves, where they feel respected, championed, heard, and supported. We want our workforce to achieve their potential, understand their contribution and feel proud of their impact by creating a culture and organisation that is genuinely inclusive by advancing equality, diversity, inclusion, and belonging through our policies and practices.
We believe diversity drives great outcomes by encouraging the different points of view that come from a diverse workforce. We want to hear from and engage with people whose experience of dealing with this disease may be very different depending on their individual circumstances and background. We can think of no better way to do this than by making sure this role fully represents our intent; therefore, we are especially keen to consider applications from suitable applicants who consider themselves to be in areas that appear underrepresented within the charity sector.
Safeguarding
PCUK is committed to safe and fair recruitment processes that safeguard and protect those we work with, support and serve. Role Overview
Responsible to: Cambridge Sustainable Food CIC (host organisation), with accountability to the Food Justice Alliance Steering Group
Location: Cambridge
Contract: Two years, subject to funding
Salary: £36,000 FTE
Cambridge Sustainable Food CIC
Cambridge Sustainable Food CIC (CSF) is a non-profit organisation established in 2018 working to build a fairer, more sustainable food system which supports the community and the environment. We campaign to achieve healthy and sustainable food for everyone; food which is good for our health, the planet, and the local economy.
The Food Justice Alliance
The Cambridge Food Justice Alliance is a network of local organisations working together to address food insecurity in Cambridge and take strategic, collective action for lasting food justice. The Alliance strengthens connections across the city, supports partners to share knowledge and experience, identifies shared priorities, and coordinates activity to help residents access fair, dignified and sustainable food support. Its work is guided by a steering group with representatives from Cambridge Sustainable Food, Cambridge City Foodbank, Cambridge City Council, Cambridge United Charitable Trust, Abbey People CIO, Cambridge Ethnic Community Forum and Church of the Good Shepherd. The Steering Group shapes key themes, agrees collective actions and identifies the partners best placed to lead specific areas of work.
This is a coordination and systems leadership role, not a frontline delivery post. The Coordinator will strengthen partnership working, improve communication and shared learning, support resident involvement, and increase the Alliance's influence on policy, funding and system change. The role will help build a stronger, more connected and influential Alliance, enabling collective action to address both the causes and impacts of food insecurity.
