About the role
We’re looking for a motivated and creative Senior Marketing Officer to join Kinship’s Marketing Team to help us reach more kinship carers with our support offer. You’ll bring strong experience in delivering effective, insight-driven digital marketing campaigns across channels, including social media, email, web, paid advertising and content marketing.
You’ll play a key role in delivering integrated marketing campaigns and promoting our services and programmes – including Department for Education-funded training – to kinship carers, referral partners, and professionals across England and Wales.
Working closely with the Head of Marketing, you’ll plan and deliver impactful marketing activity, create engaging content, and use data and analytics to optimise performance. You’ll also contribute to shaping our marketing strategy by bringing evidence, creativity and best practice from across the digital landscape. This hands-on role offers the opportunity to maximise reach and impact and raise the profile of kinship care while supporting families.
Key responsibilities

Work with the Head of Marketing to develop marketing plans, and have day-to-day oversight of the delivery of these to promote the DfE-funded training and support service to kinship carers, to ensure good take-up of all training events by a diverse range of kinship carers, in line with the programme goals.

Plan and deliver multi-channel marketing campaigns (digital, print, social media - paid and organic, email, SMS, etc.), monitoring and optimising campaigns for greatest impact and testing new approaches.

Produce and oversee content creation for marketing plans and campaigns, delivering high-quality, insight-led and engaging marketing content for different audiences and/or channels, including case studies, blog posts, leaflets, videos, and social media assets.

Plan and deliver creative and innovative paid ads campaigns across Meta, reviewing and optimising throughout, ensuring robust reporting is in place and using analytics and insights to inform future campaigns.

Help embed a new email marketing platform to support the delivery of our email marketing strategy, including segmentation, automated journeys testing and reporting.

Support the delivery of marketing strategies and activities to grow brand awareness and increase engagement with kinship carers and other key audiences.

With the Head of Marketing, work with services teams to understand our target audience, and identify opportunities to integrate Kinship’s holistic support offer - including our peer support service and website advice content/ Kinship Compass - into training marketing activity where appropriate.

Track KPIs and produce regular monitoring reports on marketing performance across channels and, with support from the Head of Marketing, adjust campaigns and plans to optimise impact and make recommendations for future testing.

Manage and prioritise incoming requests from the organisational briefing process for services marketing support, including producing collateral templates in line with brand guidelines, working closely and collaboratively with comms and digital teams.

Work in collaboration and co-production with kinship carers to ensure meaningful input and representation in the development of relevant plans and activities.
Knowledge, abilities, skills and experience:
Experience

Demonstrable marketing experience in an in-house or agency role (minimum 4 years experience).

Experience of developing and delivering marketing campaigns and activity to meet specific objectives, including engagement and acquisition of target audiences.

Experience of supporting numerous marketing campaigns or activities at the same time.

Strong digital marketing experience, including use of email marketing systems; design software including Canva; social media platforms and photo and video editing software.

Experience of planning, delivering and optimising email marketing campaigns to drive supporter engagement, using segmentation, automation and performance analysis.

Experience using a Contact Management System, such as Salesforce.

Passion for and experience of developing a range of content for different audiences and channels (such as videos, infographics, blogs and social media posts).

Experience of using communications planning tools or systems (e.g. planning grids, Asana, Hootsuite, Loomly).

Experience of tracking and reporting on social media and other digital marketing analytics and using insights and data to inform optimisation and planning of new activity.

The Role

Enter supporter data into the database accurately and in a timely manner using Donorfy integrations or import tools
Liaise with internal and external contacts to agree schedules and formats for all regular financial and fundraising imports. Maintain relationships with solution providers and other related parties.
Day to day responsibility for data imports, data validation and data cleaning, to ensure accuracy of supporter information
Data Analysis & Reporting
In collaboration with colleagues across fundraising and marketing, identify areas for regular reporting to add value to existing processes and procedures and ensure these reports are delivered to schedule.

The Candidate
Experience of administering and maintaining a supporter database and developing the database to improve functionality across all areas of fundraising.
Experience extracting data from a CRM based on complex inclusion and exclusion criteria, A good understanding of segmentation and the effective use of supporter data for campaign purposes.
Good knowledge and experience of using a fundraising database for reporting and analysis.
Knowledge of GDPR and Fundraising Code of Practice as they relate to direct marketing and able to appropriately raise areas of non-compliance.
Proven ability to manage relationships with third party suppliers including fundraising platforms and mailing and fulfilment houses.
A good understanding of fundraising and how the effective use of data can drive supporter engagement and income growth.
Excellent lT skills, particularly with Microsoft Office and CRM like Donorfy

Action for Conservation is a UK grassroots charity using innovative approaches to inspire and empower young people from diverse backgrounds, between the ages of 12 and 24, to become the next generation of environmental leaders. In 2019, we launched our flagship Penpont Project on a 2,000-acre estate in Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons), Wales. The Penpont Project is the largest intergenerational nature restoration project of its kind in the world, aiming to demonstrate how youth leadership and ambition can advance nature’s recovery at a time of acute ecological crisis.
We are currently looking for a Community Tree Nursery Coordinator to join the Penpont Project and run our Community Tree Nursery, growing trees from native tree species, including trees of conservation and heritage value, through collaborative learning and community-building activities. The focus of the role is as much on intergenerational learning and community engagement as it is on the processes of tree rearing and producing trees for planting out across the landscape. This is a brilliant opportunity for someone with good knowledge of tree planting, growth and care, and a passion for working with young people and communities. Please be aware that this is a physically active role, and you should be willing to work outdoors most of the time.

What you will do
- Look after the day-to-day running and maintenance of the Tree Nursery together with our partners.
- Grow native tree species to use as stock for tree planting at Penpont, with types and quantities of trees to be determined based on project needs and what we can hope to achieve through volunteer action and educational events.
- Engage young people and the local community around Penpont with the Tree Nursery through a variety of events and activities, supporting them to grow their skills, knowledge and confidence related to trees, and ensure there is a solid volunteer base to support the nursery’s operation.
- Be responsible for the general coordination of Tree Nursery events and manage all relevant administration and logistics.
- Support monitoring, evaluation and learning (MEL) activities as relevant to your role to understand the impact of our work and facilitate learnings.
What we are looking for
- Experience of working with young people, ideally aged 12-18 and community volunteers and proven ability to engage, motivate and support people from diverse backgrounds and age groups
- Good horticultural knowledge, from selecting seeds to growing and nurturing tree stock, including traditional growing techniques; knowledge related to woodlands and forest ecosystems is desirable
- Experience of organising and running events and activities from start to finish, including liaising with stakeholders, managing logistics, health and safety and safeguarding
- Proven ability to facilitate stimulating, interactive and inclusive youth/community group sessions, especially practical activities in an outdoor setting
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills and ability to build and maintain positive relationships with colleagues, partners, young people and other stakeholders
- Excellent organisational and time management skills and ability to prioritise effectively to meet deadlines
- A proactive and self-reliant approach to work, ability to work independently, problem-solve and take initiative to achieve results

As our Regional Corporate Fundraiser, you'll be the driving force behind our local business partnerships, working with both large companies operating in the region and smaller local businesses looking to support their communities.

Harris Hill are delighted to be working with a national leading charity to recruit for the Senior Community Fundraiser- Cardiff and the surrounding region in orderto help grow vital income through community partnerships and supporter engagement.
About the Role
In this role, you’ll build strong relationships with individuals, community groups, clubs, and local businesses, inspiring them to raise funds and support an important cause. You’ll also play a key role in an exciting store level engagement pilot with a major national supermarket partnership, working closely with store teams and community champions to increase awareness, engagement, and fundraising.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage a portfolio of community supporters across your region, including individuals, organisations, and local businesses.
- Build and nurture long-term relationships with mid and high value supporters to grow sustainable income.
- Lead local engagement with a flagship national retail partnership pilot, strengthening relationships with store teams and community champions.
- Inspire supporters and partners by communicating the impact of fundraising and encouraging new ways to get involved.
- Represent the organisation at community events, store activations, and supporter meetings.
- Identify and develop new fundraising opportunities aligned with regional and national strategies.
- Deliver tailored stewardship plans to ensure supporters have an exceptional experience.
- Monitor and report on income, activities, and performance against targets and KPIs.
- Collaborate closely with colleagues across fundraising teams to maximise opportunities and share best practice.
We’re looking for someone who is proactive, relationship focused, and motivated to drive meaningful engagement within local communities.
You’ll bring:
- Proven fundraising experience working with individuals, community groups, and local businesses.
- Experience managing mid or high value supporters and building complex relationships.
- A track record of identifying new opportunities and delivering income growth.
- Strong communication and influencing skills with the confidence to engage diverse audiences.
- Excellent organisation and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Data awareness and the ability to use insights and KPIs to inform decisions.
- A collaborative approach and enthusiasm for working across teams and with external partners.
Desirable Experience
- Experience working remotely and managing relationships across a wide region.
- Familiarity with relationship management databases.
- Knowledge of community fundraising best practice and fundraising compliance.
- Welsh language skills would be advantageous.
Salary: £31,000- £34,000 per annum, pro rata
Location: Cardiff, hybrid working, 2 day a week in the office
Contract type: 18 months FTC, part-time, 28hrs a week
