Greyhound Rescue Wales (GRW) is Wales’ leading charity dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating and rehoming greyhounds and lurchers. Founded in 1993, we have spent more than three decades championing the welfare of sighthounds and working towards our vision: a Wales without greyhound racing, where every greyhound and lurcher has a home and receives the best possible care.

In April 2026, after 25 years of determined campaigning to improve welfare and regulation within the racing industry, legislation to ban greyhound racing in Wales was finally passed. This landmark achievement marks the beginning of a new chapter for GRW as we expand our reach and capacity across the UK to ensure every greyhound leaving the racing industry has a rescue space, medical support and rehabilitation on the journey towards their forever home.

To help us grow sustainably and strengthen our long‑term impact, we are now seeking to develop our fundraising team with the creation of a Trusts and Foundations Officer. This role will play a key part in increasing and diversifying our income, enabling us to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome even more dogs during this pivotal moment in our charity’s history.

Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious Community and Events Fundraiser to develop their experience, to work within the community to increase and diversify our income stream and strengthen our charity’s profile.

The Community and Events Fundraiser is responsible for planning and delivering a varied range and scale of fundraising and events in the community.

You will proactively manage projects and build strong relationships with individuals, businesses and community groups, while also supporting and developing volunteers and their involvement.

As part of our Income Generation Team, you will work closely with the Head of Fundraising, Sponsorship & Legacies Officer and Trusts and Foundations Officer to help deliver an annual income target of £400k+.

Alongside maximising opportunities with our existing supporters, you will play a key role in developing and nurturing new ideas, partnerships and activities. Your work will help to grow this vital income stream and ensure we continue to engage with the communities and organisations that champion Greyhound Rescue Wales.

We are hiring for this role to expand our capacity to deliver our National Events for a fixed period. You will support a portfolio of successful national events. Mass Participation Events Manager

The role of Mass Participation Events Manager is an exciting new role that will be integral to building on the success of our new mass fundraising product – Walk For A Cure (WFAC).

WFAC is our flagship fundraising event series of 5k accessible walks, bringing together anyone impacted by dementia for a shared purpose- to find a cure.

We have big ambitions for the growth of this exciting mass participation product and next year we will be improving on the microsite functionality, stewardship journeys, and marketing plans to help us drive increased fundraising and remittance.

You will work closely with internal stakeholders, external agencies, and delivery partners to ensure the events are delivered on time and to target by putting in place a robust project plan, working groups, reporting and evaluations and ensuring our processes and procedures are fit for purpose.

This role sits within the Supporter-led Fundraising (SLF) team at Alzheimer’s Research UK (ARUK) sitting within the Fundraising and Marketing Directorate and is responsible for securing income from individuals, groups, and corporates in the community. 

Key Responsibilities:

Project Planning and Management:

· Develop and maintain a comprehensive project plan for WFAC, guiding cross-functional teams through its execution.

· Manage project risks and decisions to ensure smooth project progression.

· Establish and lead internal working groups or workstreams for effective collaboration.

· Serve as the main point of contact for internal and external stakeholders involved in the WFAC project.

· Promote best practices in project management across the organization, working closely with the central Projects Team.

Collaboration and Coordination:

· Collaborate closely with internal teams, external agencies, and delivery partners to ensure successful event delivery.

· Oversee deliverables from key agencies and ensure alignment with project objectives.

· Work with ARUK teams such as marketing and design to define roles, responsibilities, and timelines.

· Provide on-the-day event delivery support at all WFAC events.

Reporting and Communication:

· Generate weekly reports and updates for the Heads of Mass Participation & Relationship Fundraising to track project progress and address any issues.

· Facilitate ARUK-wide updates on the WFAC project, ensuring alignment with key teams.

· Stay informed about ARUK's strategic direction, organisational goals, and priorities.

Data and Insight:

· Collaborate with Insight specialists to gather internal and external insights needed to understand the WFAC audience.

· Work with the data team to establish PowerBI dashboards for product performance insight and lifecycle management.

Accessibility and Inclusivity:

· Work with key internal teams to support on delivering accessibility at WFAC events the development of a 'Dementia Friendly Mass Participation Event' framework.

Knowledge, skills and experience needed:

· Demonstrable experience of using project managements principles and techniques to coordinate multiple workstreams, stakeholders, risks and deadlines.

· Experience managing agencies and suppliers and ensuring all contractual requirements are delivered on time and budget.

· Demonstrable experience in championing a product at an organisational level with excellent skills in influencing and negotiation.

Ways of working:

As part of our Agile ways of working you will be required to work approximately 2 days a week from the office, which is subject to the requirements of the role and the business needs. Flexibility on where you work can be split between working from home and our office.

The Head of Partnerships will play a key role in managing Inter Mediate's relationships with institutional donors, foundations, governments and philanthropic partners. The postholder will coordinate donor engagement across the organisation, oversee grant management and reporting, identify new funding opportunities and support the development of high-quality funding proposals. S/he also leads on our internal quality assurance, research and reporting processes, line managing the Research and Reporting Officer.

Working closely with the senior leadership, programme teams and finance colleagues, you will help ensure that Inter Mediate maintains strong partnerships with its existing funders while expanding its network of supporters. This is a collaborative, externally-facing role suited to someone with strong relationship management skills, excellent organisational ability and experience of securing and managing funding within the international development, peacebuilding or humanitarian sectors.

With at least 7 years' experience in partnerships, fundraising, business development or grant management in the international development, humanitarian or peacebuilding sectors, you will have demonstrable experience managing relationships with institutional donors, foundations and/or HNWIs, and a track record of successful funding proposals and overseeing donor reporting.

You have excellent written communication skills, strong project management skills, and superb interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with proven ability to work collaboratively across teams.

We’re looking for a Receptionist & Challenge Event Assistant to join our friendly Challenge Event team. This role is the first point of contact for many supporters of the Charity. It is also an integral part of the Challenge Events Team, assisting with managing a portfolio of third-party challenge events. Dealing directly with supporters and liaising with teams across the Charity, the role requires an effective communicator, with great attention to detail, who is proactive and has a passion for fundraising.

What you’ll be doing

• Be the first point of contact for all enquiries at the Charity’s reception desk in Sutton.
• Provide excellent supporter care by responding to event enquiries quickly and efficiently and providing advice and support where necessary.
• Work across a variety of different digital platforms to help process challenge event registrations.
• Send relevant materials and letters to supporters in a timely manner, keeping an accurate record of these communications on the database.
• Ensure the event information on the charity website and displayed within the hospital is up-to-date and relevant. This will include poster sites, notice boards and leaflets around the hospital. 
• Provide support with the delivery of events including preparing equipment and materials.

About you

You’ll be a friendly, organised and proactive individual who enjoys working with people and delivering a great supporter experience. Whether through customer service, volunteering or a similar role, you’ll be confident building positive relationships, managing multiple priorities and communicating effectively with a wide range of people. You’ll have strong attention to detail, good IT skills, and a practical approach to problem-solving. RESPONSIBILITIES:

Fundraising Delivery

· Deliver challenge and community fundraising campaigns and events that achieve agreed income and participation targets.

· Support the Community & Challenge Events Manager with the delivery and stewardship of Back Up's London Marathon programme, taking ownership of agreed areas of delivery.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced team leader looking to take on a meaningful new career challenge to join the Brent Irish Advisory Service (BIAS) as Head of Operations.

The Head of Operations oversees all of BIAS’s projects, managing a small, high-performing team of project coordinators and frontline advice and community-support staff to ensure that we provide the highest-quality service to our clients. You will need to have demonstrable team-management experience, strong people and communication skills, and a willingness to take a hands-on approach to project delivery, along with excellent organisational and strategic abilities to ensure that projects are delivered sustainably, effectively and efficiently.

In 2025, BIAS expanded its successful Brent-based advice service and active ageing clubs into Haringey borough. The Head of Operations will take the lead on further building and developing the new services in Haringey, ensuring that we replicate our excellent quality of service, strong record of positive outcomes and loyal service-user base.

This is a key role within the BIAS senior leadership team, which will give you the opportunity to have a direct impact on shaping the organisation’s future strategy and direction.

KEY WORK AREAS AND MAIN DUTIES

Staff management

• Manage a team of five project coordinators and five front-line staff to ensure effective delivery and monitoring of BIAS’s core welfare and housing advice, active ageing, volunteering and befriending projects, which support over 900 people per year.
• Manage HR procedures, including employment contracts, probation assessment, leave administration, staff supervision, performance management and exit procedures.
• Conduct recruitment procedures where needed, and supervise the onboarding process for new joiners.
• Oversee training and development needs and budgets.
• Ensure good teamwork and lines of communication between staff, including by chairing regular staff meetings.
• Create a positive working environment in which equity and diversity are promoted and staff can do their best.

Project management

• Project-manage the further development of new advice and active ageing services in Haringey borough.
• Take the lead on promotion and marketing of BIAS’s services, including by representing the charity to partner organisations and at external events.
• Contribute to the organisation and running of regular community and fundraising events.
• Deputise for the Advice Services Manager where needed, supporting the welfare and housing advisers with complex casework, forward planning and client management.
• Support the Active Ageing Coordinators and volunteer teams wherever needed with the day-to-day running of the active ageing clubs.

Quality and service delivery

• Oversee quality-assurance procedures in line with the Advice Quality Standard (AQS), and spearhead biannual renewal of BIAS’s AQS accreditation.
• Oversee running of BIAS’s volunteer project in line with the Investing in Volunteers quality accreditation standards.
• Serve as internal data protection officer, monitoring GDPR compliance, managing risk and responding to any potential data breaches.
• Serve as BIAS safeguarding lead, ensuring that safeguarding policies and training are kept up to date, and that all safeguarding concerns are appropriately addressed.
• Work with the Fundraising and Communications Manager to administer the BIAS website and implement BIAS’s social media strategy.
• Administer BIAS’s IT and client management systems (Microsoft 365, SharePoint, BrightHR, Lamplight CRM), coordinating training, updates and troubleshooting.

Operational leadership

• Advise the CEO on all staffing and service-delivery issues.
• Monitor and report on service delivery, including through monthly advice and volunteer-project reports, quarterly Board reports and regular funder reports.
• Carry out regular reviews of BIAS’s annual business plan, risk register, five-year strategy and internal policies and procedures, providing recommendations to the CEO and Board of Trustees on strategic direction.
• Research and secure funding from grant-making organisations, ensuring BIAS’s future financial sustainability.
• Work closely with the Finance Manager and CEO on budgeting, grant monitoring, cashflow and financial authorisation.

These are the basic duties required of the Head of Operations. However, it is necessary for all staff to be flexible and you may be required from time to time to perform other reasonable duties which are required for the efficient running of the organisation. We will also offer training opportunities to support your career development.

Candidates must be eligible to work in the UK. This role will be based in our advice offices and club venues in Willesden and Haringey but there may be some options for flexible working (e.g. one day per week from home). Occasional evening or weekend work may be required.

BIAS is a local charity which has supported England’s largest Irish community in Brent for almost fifty years. We deliver our support through our welfare and housing advice service, our active ageing clubs, our volunteer project and our befriending scheme. We raise over £2 million in extra income for the most vulnerable and disadvantaged every year and have over 7000 attendances at our club services. BIAS has recently expanded into Haringey borough and has exciting plans to further develop its project scope and geographical reach, supported by sustainable and diversified grant funding, including from Ireland’s Emigrant Support Programme.
