Key Responsibilities

The role

We are seeking a dynamic Director of Income & Engagement to join our senior leadership team. This pivotal role is responsible for developing and implementing robust income generation strategies to diversify and grow our voluntary and traded income streams. 

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in sales and/or fundraising, building strategic partnerships and driving innovation in income generation. As a key leader in our organisation, you will be responsible for a team of c.10 people, and work collaboratively across the charity to enable us to grow sustainably and ensure that we have the support to reach and impact more young people

Key responsibilities

Leadership and Strategy:

• Lead, inspire, and develop a high-performing income generation team of 10 people, including two direct reports (Head of Partnerships and Head of Philanthropy)
• Develop and execute a comprehensive income generation strategy and plans that align with the charity’s mission and goals
• Oversee all income generation and stakeholder engagement activities, maximising the growth potential and visibility of Future Frontiers to deliver impact

Early Years Tutor 

Are you passionate about supporting young people to reach their full potential? Do you have industry experience in health and social care, and a desire to share your knowledge through teaching?

The  tutor role will provide a pivotal role to the development of the Early Years vocational area study programme.  You will teach a range of Early Years skills to young people aged 16-18 (up to 25 with an EHCP).

You will work with young people and support a team of staff, volunteers and other agencies to assertively and creatively engage with hard to reach young people.

You will be responsible for contributing to, devising and developing schemes of work, session plans and resources to meet curriculum requirements to equip young people with the Early Years skills, personal social and development skills, motivation, confidence and employability skills to progress into and sustain employment and/or further education/training.

You will support the team to source work placements and for supporting young people to attend work placements.

This role will work to a case load ratio and key performance indicators for qualification achievement, attendance and progression.

Purpose of the job

The Operations Officer provides vital administrative and operational support across UK Youth, helping ensure our people, systems, and workplaces are set up for success. You will play a key role in keeping day-to-day operations running smoothly and ensuring teams have the tools, resources, and information they need to work effectively.

Working closely with the Head of Operations, you will take responsibility for core operational processes including systems administration, facilities coordination, cross-departmental events and compliance support.

This role strengthens the foundations that enable UK Youth to deliver for young people in the long term by supporting strong systems, effective ways of working, and a positive workplace environment.

Key responsibilities

IT & Systems

• Manage the day-to-day relationship with our IT support partner, including monitoring support tickets, approving change requests, and escalating issues to the Head of Operations where required.

• Support the maintenance and monitoring of IT equipment in collaboration with our IT Support Partner

• Maintain our IT asset register; be responsible for ensuring all IT equipment is accounted for and organising its safe distribution.

• Maintain and improve UK Youth’s SharePoint and MS Teams sites and channels, ensuring efficient organisation, accessibility of information and compliance with information and data protection policies

• Support operational improvement projects, including process automation e.g., use of Microsoft Forms and Power Automate to streamline and automate internal workflows such as onboarding, approvals, and data collection.

Office Management

• Serve as the primary point of contact for all London office facility needs, liaising with landlords, contractors, suppliers, and cleaners to ensure the workspace remains safe, functional, and well maintained.

• Manage staff building access and oversee the use of UK Youth’s storage facility, ensuring secure and efficient use of space.

• Manage and maintain the room booking systems, ensuring availability, access, and efficient use of meeting spaces.

• Manage departmental shared inboxes, general phone lines and post, ensuring timely and helpful responses.

• Coordinate purchasing and maintenance of office supplies and equipment, ensuring value for money and timely delivery.

Health & Safety

• Act as the main contact for Health & Safety within our London office, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.

• Coordinate H&S inductions and site orientations for all new starters and maintain risk assessments, compliance logs, and required documentation.

• Maintain UK Youth’s risk assessment log and review schedule

• Support the collection, tracking, and reporting of organisational H&S compliance data, contributing operational reporting.

• Contribute to the development and documentation of standard operating procedures (SOPs), templates, and internal process playbooks.

Team Support

• Provide day-to-day administrative and coordination support to the People and Operations Team.

• Maintain departmental calendar, schedule meetings, and coordinate agendas, papers, and minutes.

• Lead logistics for key organisation-wide events such as our quarterly Town Halls.

Experience we're after

• Experience supporting operations, administration, compliance, or facilities within a busy organisation.

• Experience coordinating service providers, contractors, or suppliers.

• Experience supporting digital systems (e.g., Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Teams) and contributing to process improvements.

About the Role

We are looking for a compassionate and adaptable individual with a background in welfare delivery. The ideal candidate will be highly organised, analytically minded, and an effective communicator. As a Welfare Navigator, you will be on the front line of the organisation, providing essential support to beneficiaries through our helpline, email, and web chat services. You will advise members of the RAF family on the financial assistance and support services available through the RAF Benevolent Fund, guiding them on how to access these resources when needed.

The successful candidate will be proactive, with experience of working with people in a supportive capacity. They must be able to engage sensitively and professionally with individuals of all ages and backgrounds. A solid level of administrative experience is essential, ideally gained within a welfare or support-focused environment, along with confidence in using CRM IT systems.

The role will be office based at our London HQ, with a minimum of three days working in the office per week.

As a Customer Adviser, you will be playing an important role in this vital service; providing information and advice for older people in need, and signposting them, their families, carers and other professionals to relevant bodies that can help with their specific requirements. You will speak to older people facing a wide range of situations, including loneliness, financial difficulty, and occasionally safeguarding concerns.

The team handles thousands of calls, emails and webchats each year. Some of these enquiries can be emotionally tough, but there is no better feeling than knowing that you have helped someone.

This role offers hybrid working between home and our offices in Blackpool or Ashburton (a robust home broadband connection is essential).
