You may be an experienced fundraising manager wanting to contribute to and steer strategy development, or a specialist seeking to take the next step in their career. With experience in grant funding – from trusts, foundations, philanthropists or government – you will have three key areas shape, building on the great foundations already in place. These are;
 

• Building EngineeringUK’s pipeline of prospective funders. Researching vision-aligned high value potential funders. There’s an impact-rich portfolio of restricted and unrestricted programmes and themes ranging from sustainability to gender equity to explore.
• You’ll relationship-manage our most significant funders - be the new visionary funders in the green space, piloting new work, to long-established education-focussed funders giving multi-year gifts.
  •  You will take the lead on developing and writing proposals in collaboration with vibrant, and evidence-based Engagement Programme, Research and Policy teams.
     

You will be part of a truly collaborative team which achieves shared ambitions, when working on cross-department projects such as reporting to your funders and preparing engaging experiences for them. This can include visits to schools, tours of our stand-out Big Bang Fair with 20,000 visitors, or volunteering on our Big Bang competition judging. These opportunities mean that EngineeringUK is uniquely placed for a Trusts & Foundations Manager to work in meaningful relationship development as well as the “bread and butter” delivery. In this job, you will experience EngineeringUK’s values first-hand, through direct relationships with your CEO and Trustee Board members, as well as your community of relationship specialist teammates.
 

About the role
 

We are looking for a passionate and skilled Trusts & Foundations specialist to complete a maternity cover. This role will continue to expand EngineeringUK’s relationships in this field and develop grant-funding as a core income stream for our work. We receive significant funding from grant funders already but are looking to scale this income stream. This gives the successful candidate the opportunity to create impact for our programme delivery, research and beyond. Whilst this is currently the sole role focusing on this area, you would be supported by the Director of Business Development & Partnerships and the Chief Executive, both of whom have experience in this type of fundraising. Senior level engagement and support means we can be flexible to the level of experience of the successful candidate, making this role a great opportunity for an experienced Manager wanting to take ownership of a strategy, or for a Specialist looking to take their next step and develop their strategic skills.
 

The Trusts & Foundations Manager (maternity cover) role is part of the Business & Industry team (11 people), who have responsibility for all funding and industry relationships across EngineeringUK. The team works strategically with stakeholders across the engineering, technology and education sectors, to support our mission to increase the number and diversity of young people choosing engineering and technology careers. Opportunities for funding include our bursary programme, in-school programmes such as Climate Schools and Big Bang Programme, supporting our community of Code signatories, and developing new programmes.
 

Prospecting and pipeline management is a key element of this role and once funding is secured, the postholder will account manage the relationship, including regular reporting, delivered in collaboration with programme leads. Therefore, in addition to being able to secure new funding, interest in and experience of delivering excellent account management is essential.
 

Whilst the core focus of the role will be on developing relationships with trusts & foundations and bid writing, there may also be some opportunities to explore key relationships we hold in government, connected to statutory grants and procurement opportunities.

The role is London based at our office at 10 Lower Thames Street, London EC3R 6EN and may involve some travel in the UK. We believe that hybrid working has many benefits and are pleased to offer flexible working with a minimum of 2 days (or 40%) a week in the office and the option for a flexible start and end to the working day in our vibrant central London office overlooking the Thames. About you

Essential Skills / Competencies

• Experience of identifying, securing and delivering grant-funding from trusts, foundations and/or government.
• Good understanding of the grant-giving environment, with the ability to quickly identify the spaces and conversations your organisation should be engaging in.
• Experience of building and prioritising a pipeline.
• Confidence securing introductions to new people and organisations in-person, virtually, and through written correspondence.
• Excellent writing skills, with the ability to condense detailed information and present it in a compelling and persuasive way for a variety of audiences.
• Excellent relationship management skills, with the ability to quickly build rapport, understand, and respond to the needs of both internal and external stakeholders.
• Strong record keeping, with experience of using a CRM for maintaining records and reporting.
• Ability to understand and present financial information for a funder.
• Ability to make decisions quickly and aptly with minimal supervision, whilst consulting as widely as appropriate when the situation warrants it and/or in line with organisational ways of working.

This exciting role will lead on all aspects of the finance function, including managing managing the Finance & Systems Officer, overseeing the production of year-end accounts in collaboration with internal stakeholders and auditors, and preparing monthly management accounts for reports to the Senior managers and trustees. Responsibilities also include stewardship of the Foundation’s liquid assets, leading the budgeting and forecasting processes, verifying monthly payroll prepared by HR, and ensuring the efficient operation of the purchase ledger function.

What does the role involve?

• Coordinate across the Foundation and help prepare the annual statutory accounts and all schedules for audit and be the lead liaison with the auditors.
• Prepare monthly financial reports and budgets for review by senior management, providing analysis and other measures of performance.
• Lead on improving processes and systems across all aspects of finance and liaising with the wider organisation to drive these forward.

Addiction Family Support is the leading UK-registered charity supporting adults affected or bereaved by a loved one's harmful use of alcohol, drugs, or gambling.

The role: Family Support Worker (Bereavement)

As a Family Support Worker at Addiction Family Support, you will be responsible for delivering a range of services to provide crucial emotional and practical assistance to individuals bereaved (and affected) by the loss of a loved one due to addiction. Through both individual and group support, you will offer a compassionate and understanding presence, helping people navigate grief and loss in a safe and supportive environment.

Our service delivery takes place via several methods, including taking calls on our telephone Helpline, responding to emails through our email service and delivering remote 5-Step Method informed intervention to individuals and groups via an online platform.

Working patterns are flexible and you may be expected to work on a rota basis, and we would hope to be able to offer more hours per week in time when funding allows it.

You will need to be confident in your ability to provide support via a variety of remote and digital platforms, being able to respond to immediate requests for support. • Offer empathetic and non-judgmental structured emotional and practical support to those affected by the bereavement of a loved one due to addiction (via a Helpline and 5-Step Method informed one to one and group support).
• Provide or signpost information, literature, and resources to help individuals and groups manage grief and cope with their situations.
• Facilitate or co-facilitate bereavement support group meetings, creating a safe space for participants to share their experiences and provide mutual support.

At Alzheimer’s Society, we believe no one should face dementia alone. Every conversation, every visit and every small moment of reassurance can make a real difference. We are looking for a warm, thoughtful and organised Dementia Adviser to join our supportive team in Ceredigion on a fixed term contract until 31st December 2026, working 30 hours per week.

You will work closely with people living with dementia and those who care about them, providing ongoing support. You will listen carefully, understand what matters most to each person and offer guidance that helps them feel steadier and more confident as their situation changes.

Your days will be varied and meaningful. You might be visiting someone at home, offering calm reassurance over the phone, or working closely with other professionals to make sure the right support is in place. We operate a triage system for new referrals and you will play your part in making sure people are responded to quickly and thoughtfully. You will manage your own caseload, keeping clear and accurate records, while always seeing the person behind the paperwork.

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

The Advice Centre is central to our work. The advice we provide offers clarity and confidence. When people understand their circumstances, they feel safer. In moments of uncertainty, clear guidance can make a massive difference, and that’s why we’re here to offer support that helps our Visitors feel safe, informed and understood. This role administrates the operational service within the Advice Centre, triaging the needs of Visitors and coordinating Advisor and volunteer appointments.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

• To coordinate the Advice Team’s appointments and schedules.
• To be the Advice Team Lead:
  • reviewing Advice Centre processes, and adopting appropriate changes to enhance service delivery
  • lead on daily briefs and monthly meetings with Advisors and Steps2Work Coordinator
  • report any issues or challenges to Operations Manager where necessary
• To quickly assess the needs of Visitors and decide whether they need to be seen urgently, or to book them an appointment.

• To maintain Advice Centre record-keeping through the collection of Visitor data and input into our database (AirTable). Includes the creation of new records for newly registered Visitors. In addition, to ensure that personal information held about Visitors is checked for accuracy periodically.
• To ensure compliance with GDPR legislations and Harbour’s Data Protection Policy by ensuring Visitor information is not available to public view, and all documentation is safely and securely stored.
• Create information posters and signs for the benefit of Visitors and/or volunteers.
• Be the admin for Harbour’s Community and Volunteer WhatsApp groups.

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA

Ealing MHCA is a drop‑in mental health crisis support service for anyone in Ealing aged 18 and over who is experiencing a mental health crisis or emotional distress. The service provides a safe, calm, and welcoming space where individuals can receive immediate support without needing to attend A&E. Our aim is to reduce distress, help people feel heard, and support them to regain stability in the moment.

Visitors can access one‑to‑one emotional support, help creating short‑ and long‑term safety plans, guidance and signposting to other relevant services, and access to refreshments. The service may also offer group activities, such as peer support sessions, creative groups, or wellbeing‑focused activities, which create opportunities for connection, expression, and recovery in a supportive environment.

Please note that this role is an out‑of‑hours position, and you will be expected to work between 2pm and 10pm on a rota, including weekends

As a Compliance & Recruitment Officer you will deliver a high quality and responsive service to prospective candidates, recruiting managers and business stakeholders. Skills and Responsibilities 

On-Boarding & Compliance

• Coordinate all aspects of the onboarding and compliance process and ensure that the processes are completed accurately, efficiently and in a timely manner, including: issuing contracts, pre-employment compliance checks, and keying new starters/setting up new starters on the onboarding system.
• Ensure the accurate entry and maintenance of data onto the relevant HR Systems/ spreadsheets, by employing robust quality assurance and due diligence measures.

As an Assistant Store Manager, you will play a key role in the stores success. You will be highly organised with experience of merchandising, stock rotation and excellent customer service. As a Supporter Development Assistant, you will take responsibility for the efficient day-to-day administration of the Trust’s membership schemes, using the Charity CRM database to maintain accurate contact & financial records in line with GDPR. This includes processing new, renewing and lapsed memberships, handling payments ( Direct Debits, PayPal & Gift Aid) and providing consistently high-quality communication with members through enquiries, welcome packs, renewal reminders and supporter care.

You’ll also support member growth and retention by helping deliver key supporter journey communications, thanking activity and retention projects, and by liaising with external partners such as the membership recruitment agency. Alongside this, you’ll help co-ordinate membership resources such as welcome packs, leaflets and magazine mail-outs (working with the volunteer delivery network), and contribute to continuous improvement in data quality, reporting and processes to strengthen our systems and supporter relationships.

To succeed in this role, you’ll be committed to Suffolk Wildlife Trust’s mission and bring a proactive, ‘can-do’ approach. You’ll have experience in an administrative, office or customer service role, with strong organisation, attention to detail and a methodical approach to maintaining accurate records.

You’ll be confident using Microsoft 365 and databases/systems with an understanding of GDPR and data protection. You’ll communicate professionally and warmly by phone and in writing, handling confidential information and difficult conversations with sensitivity. Willingness to learn Direct Debits, Gift Aid and charity income processes is essential; charity/membership sector experience is desirable.

This is a fixed-term maternity cover position expected to last until May 2027, working 22.5 hours per week on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays each week (9:00am to 5:00pm) based at Brooke House in Ashbocking. We operate flexible homeworking arrangements where colleagues spend more time working together than homeworking. The starting salary is £15,171.00 per annum pro-rata (FTE £25,285.00).
