We’re looking for an experienced leader to join us as Interim Head of Service Delivery, working across both Citizens Advice South West Surrey (CASWS) and Citizens Advice Runnymede and Spelthorne (CARS). This role will start focusing on CASWS, and then over the fixed term period also cover CARS.

As Interim Head of Service Delivery you will:

The Content Officer supports this work by producing accurate and engaging content that strengthens our story telling and supports our priorities. It contributes to the success of major campaigns. Working collaboratively with colleagues across Policy, Corporate Partnerships, Brand, Strategic Marketing, Social Media, Digital and in the Communications team, the Content Officer ensures that content is aligned, consistent and impactful. The postholder also contributes to the smooth delivery of content production and publication processes, helping to maintain high standards and a coherent organisational narrative.

Key Responsibilities:

Delivery and production

· Develop high‑quality content across formats (e.g., explainers, briefings, blogs, supporter materials, video and digital assets) to support research, impact, policy and partnership storytelling.

· Produce accurate, engaging content for corporate and philanthropic partnerships, including supporter‑facing materials and impact stories.

· Contribute to major brand and campaign moments (e.g., World Alzheimer’s Month) through ideas, drafting and coordinated delivery.

· Develop multimedia assets — including infographics, short videos and visual explainers — by drafting briefs and supporting supplier liaison.

· Under the direction of the Content Manager, commission and manage external suppliers (e.g., designers, videographers, editors), ensuring briefs are clear and outputs meet ARUK’s brand, accessibility and quality standards.

Research and information support

· Gather and verify information from colleagues, partners and subject‑matter experts to ensure clarity and evidence‑based messaging.

· Translate complex information (e.g., research, policy or partnership updates) into clear, audience‑appropriate drafts and outlines.

· Support development of evergreen content frameworks and thematic content packages for campaigns and partnerships.

· Use audience insight and performance learnings to inform content development.

Cross‑Team collaboration

· Work collaboratively across Communications — including Social Media, Policy, Corporate Partnerships, Brand, Strategic Marketing, Research Communications and Digital — to meet shared content needs.

· Contribute content expertise into cross‑team planning to support integrated communications activity.

Administration, planning and coordination

· Maintain and update content across ARUK platforms (ResourceSpace, News & Views), ensuring information is accurate, current and well‑organised.

· Use SEO principles and performance data to shape content recommendations, working with the Content Manager and Metrics & Insights team to monitor KPIs and identify optimisation opportunities.

· Support improvements to content processes and workflows across the team.

· Assist with project coordination, helping manage timelines, track progress and support delivery within agreed budgets.

Quality, and tone  

· Ensure content is accurate, accessible and aligned with ARUK’s brand, tone of voice, editorial and ethical standards.

· Apply good judgement within defined areas of responsibility and ensure strong attention to detail.

As part of our Agile ways of working you will be required to work approximately 2 days a week from the office, which is subject to the requirements of the role and the business needs. Flexibility on where you work can be split between working from home and our office.

The Legacy & In Memory (LIM) Marketing Team is responsible for increasing awareness and consideration for gifts in wills and/or an in memory gift. About the role

As our Legacy & In Memory Senior Marketing Officer you will deliver a range of compelling communications to increase consideration for legacy giving and implement personalised stewardship journeys for our legacy and in memory supporters, as well as delivering engaging thank you events, and work closely with the Legacy & In Memory Marketing Manager to drive sustainable change.

In this role, you will:

• Plan, manage and execute print, email and digital campaigns across the marketing funnel to raise consideration for legacy giving
• Deliver exceptional stewardship, through personal communication journeys, for our Legacy and In Memory supporters
• Manage a legacy and high value supporter event programme
• Operate a rigorous test to learn methodology, regularly monitoring, evaluating and analysing campaigns
• Champion WaterAid’s commitment to equity, inclusion and safeguarding.

Requirements

To be successful, you will need:

• Proven experience in a direct marketing or supporter engagement role
• Proven experience in delivering and/or supporting on events
• Experience of developing and implementing supporter journeys across multiple channels

Role: This is an exciting opportunity to play a central role in how Envision brings its mission to life — through well-run fundraising events and compelling communications that inspire supporters and put young people's stories front and centre. 

As Events and Communications Officer, you will take ownership of our annual events programme, including our flagship fundraising event, the Envision Cycling Challenge. From logistics and budget management through to post-event donor recognition and evaluation, you will oversee the full events lifecycle — always looking for ways to grow our offer, attract new supporters and drive income. You will work towards an annual income target as part of a collaborative and ambitious Philanthropy and Partnerships team. 

On the communications side, you will create written and visual content that conveys the impact of our work across social media, e-newsletters, impact reports and donor updates. Working closely with the Communications Manager, you will ensure our messaging is consistent, inspiring and reaches the right audiences — while also supporting internal communications that help connect and inform our teams across the organisation. 

This is a role for someone who is as comfortable crafting a compelling story as they are managing a complex event; someone who thrives on variety, takes pride in the details and genuinely cares about the young people at the heart of our work. 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Design, deliver and manage the annual events workplan, working towards an annual income target 

• Coordinate and run all fundraising events including the Envision Cycling Challenge, managing logistics, budgets, compliance and evaluation 

• Create compelling written and visual content for external and internal communications across multiple channels 

• Support the development and delivery of donor communications, impact reports and supporter updates 

• Track and report on events performance, supporter engagement and communications metrics 

• Maintain accurate donor records on Salesforce and support timely donor recognition processes

Who We Are

The 999 Club has stood on the corner of Deptford Broadway for more than 30 years, working with and supporting the local community. Our focus now is on people who are street homeless, rough sleeping or unhoused and those who have no recourse to public funds.

The Gateway is open five days a week and provides a welcoming, safe and friendly space where our members can spend time away from their usual situation and sort out practicalities like getting laundry done, taking a shower, charging their phone and having something to eat.

The Team

Exactly as it says on the tin, the Essential Services Team was set up to deliver essential services and we’re really excited to be restructuring the team. Whilst our Intervention Team works with members to figure out their next steps around housing etc. the Essential Services Team work to make sure that everything is in place we all get to spend time in clean, safe, friendly surroundings.

Working alongside an amazing team of volunteers the Essential Services Team provide it all, hospitality to housekeeping and everything in between.  From welcoming members at reception to helping out with laundry, to making sure the place is clean and comfortable and well maintained, that we have enough of everything, that all the admin is taken care of and and that there’s something nutritious for lunch, the Essential Services Team are at the centre of everything we do – effectively, they are the engine that keeps the 999 Club running.

About the role

The postholder will provide specialised and tailored advice to clients where either their No Recourse status, or complex benefits issues are acting as barriers to them resolving their homelessness. This will be achieved through one-to-one support sessions, drop in advice sessions and advocacy with external organisations. The Migrant and Welfare Advisor will provide a holistic casework support to clients subject to immigration control who do not have access to public funds. They will use their in-depth knowledge of working with No Recourse clients, to assess and refer to suitable accommodation options, including Asylum Support accommodation, host accommodation and NRPF beds (where available). They will also hold responsibility for assessing care and support needs, making care act assessments (where relevant) and supporting clients to access strength-based opportunities, e.g. cycling workshops or other.

The Migrant and Welfare Advisor will also provide advice to clients with complex benefits issues. This may include challenging DWP decisions (via mandatory reconsiderations and appeals), advising and supporting clients with benefit sanctions and issuing pre-action protocol letters, where appropriate.  

All Passage projects along with their employees are expected to uphold Passage values and work within a Psychologically Informed Environment (PIE).

Main Duties

• Working in a psychologically-informed way, you will conduct assessments to identify care and support needs, and to establish the most appropriate accommodation options for destitute clients with no access to benefits.
• Refer into appropriate services providing support to NRPF clients, including applying for Home Office Asylum Support and provide support to the clients in all aspects of their resettlement into either Asylum Support or Host accommodation including applying for Home Office accommodation support (Asylum Support), grants, advocacy and local support agencies.
• Lead on cases initiated by clients themselves, or by other caseworkers, which are complex (for example, advising clients around sanctions) or where clients wish to challenge DWP decisions in relation to Universal Credit/HRT, Housing Benefit, PIP, Pension Credit, Carer’s Allowance or other UK benefits.
• Assess client eligibility for benefits, support clients to understand decisions and advocate for client via mandatory reconsiderations, appeals and reviews where appropriate.
• Issue pre-action protocol letters and referring to external solicitors as appropriate to challenge unlawful or unjust decisions, or unnecessary delays.
• Provide services at the Community Services Centre and occasional in-reach projects at other sites.
• Offer drop-in workshops or advice surgeries on benefits or immigration support issues, in accordance with service need.
• Contribute case studies and quotes to support fundraising proposals and applications for funding.
• Provide accurate and timely information to clients regarding immigration support and benefits advice whilst keeping up to date with changes through training and other opportunities to ensure that this happens.
• Participate in rota system for Community Services reception space, involving engaging with new and current clients, and supporting with ad hoc tasks (e.g. supporting with laundry, replenishing stores of tea and coffee etc.)
• Agree a risk assessment, safety and support plan with every client that is regularly reviewed and monitored.

General Responsibilities

• In conjunction with your Line Manager to continuously develop the role to ensure that all tasks are being undertaken in an effective and appropriate manner which meets the strategic aims and objectives of The Passage.
• To participate in internal/external meetings as required, and attend training events, conferences and other functions as necessary.
• To participate in regular supervision and annual appraisal and help in identifying your own job-related development and training needs.
• To ensure that all The Passage policies and procedures are being adhered to, particularly those relating to Health and Safety, Code of Practice and Confidentiality.
• To contribute to the effective implementation of The Passage’s Diversity and Equality Policy as it affects both The Passage and its work with vulnerable adults.

Desired Experience

• E1: Experience of delivering a busy and changing service within a psychologically informed framework.
• E2: Experience of advising and supporting homeless or vulnerable individuals, many of whom may have experienced trauma and may be from different cultural backgrounds.
• E3: Experience of casework, including advocating on behalf of clients and of challenging decisions made by DWP, Migrant Help or another public body, e.g.local authorities.
• E4: Experience of working with clients experiencing homelessness and with complex needs.
• E5: Ability to communicate complex information clearly to vulnerable individuals, many of whom may not speak English as a first language.
• E6: Ability to produce high quality written work to deadline, strong organisational skills and the ability to manage and prioritise a demanding workload.

Desired Knowledge

• K1: Knowledge of the issues that face clients who are homeless due to their immigration status (NOTE: an OISC/IAA qualification is not needed for this role).
• K2: Knowledge of Universal Credit elements, as well as Personal Independence Payment, Pension Credit, Carer’s Allowance, Housing Benefit and JSA and ESA or willingness to learn.
• K3: Knowledge of Asylum Support eligibility for those with no recourse and how to access this, or willingness to learn.

We are looking for someone with experience of working in administrative roles, with knowledge of office systems and processes. You will have excellent administrative and coordination skills, be a strong communicator and comfortable working with a range of people across multiple workstreams as well as liaising with external stakeholders. You will have excellent organisational and planning skills, be comfortable juggling different tasks and have a problem-solving mindset.
