The Role
We are looking for a Strategy Lead toplay a leading role in supporting the development of NDCS’s next organisational strategic plan, bringing together insight, ambition, and priorities into a clear long-term direction for the whole charity. You will provide the coordination, analysis, and facilitation needed to help shape a strategy that reflects the needs of deaf children and families and supports informed decision-making by senior leaders and Trustees.

You will manage bookkeeping, legal aid billing, financial records, and general administrative processes, supporting the smooth running of organisational systems and compliance requirements.

About the Role

As Clinical Team Leader, you will play a pivotal role in the day-to-day running of the clinic, ensuring the delivery of safe, effective, and compassionate care.

Key responsibilities include:

• Oversight of all clinical areas and standards
• Leadership, supervision, and safeguarding of the nursing team
• Coordinating doctors, surgeons, and anaesthetists
• Acting as the main point of contact for clinical and safeguarding matters
• Contributing as a core member of the clinic’s supervisory team

You will be supported by well-established protocols, robust support systems, and a bespoke training programme designed around your clinical background. Prior experience in sexual and reproductive health is welcomed but not essential, as full specialist training will be provided.

We are recruiting two permanent Funding Officers in the South West: one full-time and one 0.9FTE (33.5 hours per week). Funding Officers in these roles will primarily be part of a South West regional team delivering our Reaching Communities programme, with opportunities to be involved with other programmes and aspects of the Fund’s wider operations as they arise. As a Funding Officer for the National Lottery Community Fund you will be integral to supporting the organisation to deliver our strategy It Starts With Community.  

These roles will contribute to ensuring that vital funding reaches communities and projects who need it most in our region. As a Funding Officer you will work as part of our South West regional team, working day-to-day alongside fellow Funding Officers, supported by a Funding Manager.

Across the two posts we are looking for people who will provide support across the region, with a focus on developing relationships and being a key point of contact for either Exeter & East Devon or Swindon & Wiltshire.

Ideally (but not essentially) you will live in or near one of these areas and have good knowledge of the respective local area.

The Funding Officer role is classed as mobile working which means you will be expected to work from home primarily and visit various locations across the region, as needed. The ability to drive and have access to a vehicle is therefore beneficial, although not essential.

Responsibilities & Expectations of the Role

• You will assess applications for funding and manage grants using local knowledge, best practice and thematic expertise and you will harness the experience of customers and stakeholders to improve our grant making and inform our decision making.
   
• Being responsible for supporting local people and communities, you will have a strong understanding of our vision, our commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion and our funding products.
   
• Being responsible for a pipeline of projects you will need to understand and respond to the different needs of our customers by providing advice and considered feedback, and be willing to have challenging but constructive conversations.
   
• You will ensure that both grant management and application assessment play an effective part in contributing to the Fund’s knowledge and learning as a grant maker. You will manage your own caseload, liaise with grant recipients, undertake project visits, identify and manage risk, support organisations to meet their grant requirements and measure their impact.
   
• You will be an active and integral member of the South West regional team, as well as the wider hub and Fund. You will contribute your skills, knowledge and expertise to a range of work and programmes as need arises. Within an organisation and sector experiencing on-going change, an agile & flexible approach to the role will be essential for success.
   
• You will represent the Fund, including at funding fairs and external meetings, creating opportunities for people to come together. You will share learning from your role with other colleagues so that we can maximise our impact.
   
• You will need to work within the Fund’s policies and procedures and relevant legislation, and in a way that is in line with our vision and values.

We have a hybrid approach to working. Work pattern and location will be agreed with the successful candidate. The SW regional office is in Exeter.

The Peer Support In-Reach Service is a partnership between several local Minds. Senior Peer Support Workers and Peer Support Workers, who have direct lived experience of mental health issues, are working on in-patient wards in Croydon, Greenwich, Lambeth, Lewisham and Wandsworth to provide recovery-focused peer support to people as they leave hospital and journey towards living independently in the community.

We are seeking a Peer Support Worker who has personal lived experience of mental health challenges. This individual will act as a role model for service users, utilizing their own recovery journey to instil hope and resilience. By sharing their life experiences and the lessons learned throughout their recovery, they will motivate others.

The Peer Support Worker will collaborate with the multidisciplinary team within the Unit, assisting in-patients in developing essential skills and coping mechanisms, while promoting overall wellness through strength based and non-directive conversations. They will provide both practical and emotional support, facilitate access to community resources to help individuals maintain their independence while ensuring their wellbeing.

Additionally, this role includes supporting service users after discharge in the community for up to 12 weeks, aiding them in fostering independence within their local community, connecting with various agencies, enhancing life skills, providing guidance related to employment or educational opportunities and improving their ability to manage challenges effectively to prevent re-admission.

This position requires building connections with service users through shared experiences of mental health challenges, making lived experience a crucial requirement for applicants.

Job Title: Housing Support Worker

Location: Brent. This is a floating support service which means locations vary from outreach sites, personal homes, and our office.Please be kindly aware although there is step free access at our base office, we cannot guarantee step free access in our outreach sites and participant homes.

Salary: £28,800 (Annual)

Shift Pattern:  5 month fixed term contract, 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday on a rota which can range between 08:00 - 16:00, 09:00 - 17:00 and 10:00 - 18:00. You may be required to work outside these hours dependent on service and participant requirements. 

About the Role

We're hiring a Housing Support Worker to join our floating support service which is based in Brent. The service supports adults who have been or are at risk of homelessness, have experienced social exclusion, have previous criminal convictions, suffer with their mental health, have substance misuse, and/or could have a learning disability. You will support participants on their journey towards recovery, reablement, and independence, all within a compassionate, trauma informed environment.

In this role, you'll be at the heart of delivering high quality, person centered support through tailored support plans which provide practical interventions, to empower our participants to overcome personal challenges, develop life skills, and achieve their personal goals. You will also work closely in partnership with various organisations to support the different needs of our participants, which may include signposting. Join us on the journey to empowering people to be the best versions of themselves! 

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Support participants will all aspects of their housing needs to support them ensure sustainable housing.
• Co-create tailored support plans which are centered towards the participants needs.
• Signpost participants with local providers to support with their independence such as with Job Centres, employment support hubs, community support centres, mental health trusts and other as relevant.
• Recognise support needs in an individual and initiate appropriate interventions to prevent further deterioration.
• Complete safeguarding and other referrals where required.

About the role

We’re looking for a Head of Research & Evidence to join our ambitious Research, Learning & Systems Change Team. 

Young Lives vs Cancer has a strong and growing commitment to changing the system for children and young people with cancer, and their loved ones. Our North Star vision and Time is Now Strategy focus on influencing how the wider system works – from services and policy to practice on the ground – so that families get the support they need.

The Head of Research and Evidence sits in the Research, Learning & Systems Change team, within our Innovation, Policy & Systems Change Directorate. The role is responsible for ensuring our work is grounded in strong, credible and useful evidence, and that learning is actively used to shape decisions, practice and change across the system.

This is a leadership role within a small but ambitious team. You will set direction and provide thought leadership, but you will also be hands on – designing, commissioning, managing and using research alongside colleagues and partners.

Building trusted relationships and using evidence to influence thinking and action are central. You will work with colleagues, children and young people, families, and partner organisations (such as the North Star Cancer Collective) to learn, strengthen credibility and create change.

What will I be doing?

No two days are the same at Young Lives vs Cancer. So, summarising your ‘day to day’ isn’t easy. You’ll work as part of a strong internal team, collaborating closely with colleagues across the organisation and with key external partners to generate, use and apply evidence that supports learning, influence and system change. In addition to National Lottery funding, The National Lottery Community Fund distributes funding through the Dormant Assets scheme. Dormant Assets funding in Northern Ireland supports community organisations to become more sustainable and resilient, strengthening areas such as governance, digital capability and organisational development.

Background on Dormant Assets NI

In addition to being a distributor of National Lottery funding, The National Lottery Community Fund distributes money released for social purpose as laid out in the Dormant Bank and Building Society Accounts Act 2008 and the Dormant Assets Act 2022.

This legislation enables funds from dormant bank accounts and other financial products to be channelled towards good causes in the United Kingdom through an independent body called the Reclaim Fund.

Funds are distributed to The National Lottery Community Fund, which in turn makes them available for good causes in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. Each devolved administration issues policy directions on how these funds are to be used.

The policy directions issued by the Department of Finance in September 2019 directed The National Lottery Community Fund to establish Dormant Assets NI to build capacity, resilience and sustainability in the third sector across Northern Ireland.

Responsibilities

​Working within the Communications Strategy team, you’ll lead communications activity for Dormant Assets NI. You will focus on raising awareness of the programme, engaging with organisations and sector networks, and sharing learning and impact through a range of channels.

The role combines proactive communications, relationship building, and close working with Policy and Engagement colleagues to support meaningful engagement with the voluntary and community sector. Responsibilities will include:

• Working with the Communications team, lead on communications activity for Dormant Assets NI, including regular funding announcements and programme milestones, ensuring messages reach the right audiences through appropriate channels
• Building and maintaining relationships with sector bodies, networks and specialist media, working closely with colleagues across the organisation, including Policy and Engagement, to amplify awareness of Dormant Assets funding.
• Working closely with the Dormant Assets NI team and the NI Customer Engagement team on the planning and delivery of grant-holder and learning events (in-person and virtual).
• Working with the Fund’s media team, you will lead on announcements, handle dormant-assets-related press requests, and contribute to reactive communications where required.
• Developing impact-focused content, including case studies, newsletters, and web content to demonstrate programme outcomes and learning.
• Planning, writing and scheduling social media content to proactively promote Dormant Assets funding, impact and learning.
• Working directly with grant holders to gather stories of impact, quotes and visual content, including site visits to supported organisations.
• Liaising with the Department of Finance, Reclaim Fund and partners to support programme visibility, stakeholder communications, project visits and photo opportunities.
• Contributing to reporting and accountability requirements, including quarterly updates for the Reclaim Fund, reporting to the Department of Finance, and using internal systems and CMS tools to maintain accurate records and project summaries.

You may already have experience working with, or communicating with, the voluntary, community and social enterprise sector, or be keen to deepen your understanding of the sector and the context in which it operates in Northern Ireland.

Our Service

Employment is a key part of mental health recovery. Our employment services are delivered in line with the IPS model, supporting people with mental health challenges to retain paid employment in line with their aspirations. IPS is delivered in close partnership with NHS mental health services, employers, commissioners and the wider system.

Due to receiving new funding we are excited to expand our WorkPlace Leeds service to develop our existing support in the community.

The Role

To provide an evidence-based IPS employment support service, delivered in a trauma‑informed, person‑centred and inclusive way, in line with Leeds Mind values and IPS fidelity standards.

You will be required to manage a caseload of clients who have experienced mental health difficulties and who are either unemployed or seeking to return to current employment following long term absence. You will be expected to deliver the IPS approach (according to the key principles of IPS). You will work with all relevant stakeholders, including employers, to support the client to gain and retain paid employment.

Essential Skills and Experience:
