Job description

Do you have a strong track record of securing high-value corporate partnerships, including six- and seven-figure relationships, plus a real desire to work for one of the leading charities in its field?

Then join Shelter as a New Corporate Partnerships Manager and help drive transformational private sector support for one of the UK’s leading charities.

About the role

If you're looking for an opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping Shelter's corporate partnership strategy, this is a senior position with significant impact. As New Corporate Partnerships Manager, you will lead the development and delivery of a high-value new business pipeline, securing transformational partnerships that generate substantial income and help defend the right to a safe home.

You'll build, cultivate and convert relationships with major corporate prospects, creating compelling and commercially astute partnership propositions tailored to organisational priorities. From charity of the year partnerships and strategic commercial collaborations to policy-led and purpose-driven initiatives, you'll identify opportunities that deliver value for both partners and Shelter.

Working closely with colleagues across the organisation, you'll develop innovative partnership concepts, influence senior stakeholders and bring ambitious partnership opportunities to life. You'll play a key role in helping Shelter grow its corporate income, strengthen its position as a leading charity partner and deliver lasting impact for people facing housing insecurity.

You'll also contribute to a culture of ambition and collaboration, sharing expertise, supporting colleagues and helping drive the success of the wider team.

At Shelter, we're committed to creating an inclusive workplace where everyone can thrive. We welcome conversations about flexible working and personal development and believe success should be determined by talent, potential and contribution.

About You

We're looking for an ambitious and tenacious new business professional with a proven track record of identifying, developing and securing high-value partnerships. You'll be a confident relationship builder, skilled at engaging senior stakeholders and converting prospects into long-term strategic relationships. A strong communicator with excellent commercial awareness, you'll be able to create compelling, tailored proposals and presentations that inspire organisations to support Shelter's mission to defend the right to a safe home.

We welcome applications from candidates with corporate fundraising experience, as well as those from related sectors such as sales, business development, marketing and creative agencies, where transferable skills in income generation, stakeholder engagement and business growth can be applied in this role.

Apply to be part of our team and be the change you want to see in society.

Benefits

We offer a wide range of benefits, including 30 days of annual leave plus bank holidays, flexible working practices, a competitive pension scheme, salary sacrifice options and a sector-leading Life Leave policy, including up to five volunteering days per year.

Shelter helps millions of people every year struggling with bad housing or homelessness through our advice, support and legal services. And we campaign to make sure that, one day, no one will have to turn to us for help. We’re here so no one has to fight bad housing or homelessness on their own.

About the team

Shelter has a mature fundraising program that has seen continuous year on year diversity and growth. The directorate generates over £48m gross income, of which a high percentage is unrestricted

The directorate consists of Community and Events, Individual Giving, Planning and Improvement and High Value Partnerships, where this particular role sits. High Value Partnerships covers Major Donors, Trusts & Foundations, Legacies and Corporate fundraising, with the Corporate Partnerships team split between New Partnerships and Partnership Management.
