About the Role

The Partnerships & Philanthropy Manager will lead all fundraising activity, including stakeholder partnerships and grant/trust income, overseeing a six figure annual income portfolio. They will work with the Head of Smart Works Greater Manchester, the Events & Comms Lead, and the Board of Trustees to deliver the fundraising strategy, activity plan, manage the budget, and support the organisation’s long term sustainability.

Therefore, we are looking for an energetic, creative and forward thinking individual to join our dynamic team and help secure the long term future of Smart Works Greater Manchester (SWGM). The role will be based at our Smart Works centre in Manchester city. As part of the wider SWGM team, working as one team alongside our Stockport centre, where occasional flexibility to work from will be required, the successful candidate will take part in key Smart Works Greater Manchester events and networking activity, which will include some evening and weekend work.

A large, well-established professional membership organisation is seeking a technically strong, detail-oriented Financial Accountant to play a key role in maintaining robust financial controls, statutory compliance, and high-quality financial reporting across a complex group structure.

The opportunity

About you

We are seeking an experienced Trusts and Foundations fundraiser to join our team at Power2, a fast growing and energetic youth charity.

You will lead on fundraising from Trusts and Foundations and be responsible for relationships, applications and reporting to major Trust and Foundation funders. You’ll lead internal processes for prospect research and have oversight of a growing portfolio of potential and existing donors. You will ensure a consistent pipeline of applications to meet your performance indicators and collate information from across the organisation to produce funder reports.

 You will have significant and demonstrable experience of fundraising from major Trusts and Foundations. Job Description

The Director of Finance and Operations (DFO) will play a crucial role in realising our ambitious plans as a charity. The postholder will be a member of our Senior Leadership Team (SLT), along with the CEO, Director of Development, Director of Programmes and Director of Fundraising and Communications. The DFO role is responsible for overseeing the financial health, operational effectiveness, and organisational infrastructure of the charity, ensures that the charity operates efficiently, ethically, and in compliance with all regulatory and fiduciary requirements. This role blends strategic financial leadership with hands-on operational management and is critical to enabling the charity to achieve its charitable programme as well as provide long-term sustainability.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Leadership & Management

• Provide strategic financial leadership, including long-range financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Develop and manage the organisation’s annual operating and capital budgets in collaboration with senior leadership.
• Manage the accounting functions, including payroll and pension, and month-end and year-end close.
• Prepare and present timely, accurate financial reports to the SLT, Finance and Investment Sub- Committee, and Board of Trustees.
• Monitor cash flow, reserves, and investments to ensure financial stability and liquidity.

Job Purpose

The Marketing and Campaigns Manager is responsible for the delivery and implementation of the company’s marketing, campaigns and district event activity. You will lead on the planning and delivery of integrated marketing and engagement strategies and brand activations that enhance visibility, support our five-year business plan and strengthen stakeholder relationships. This role will require creativity, organisation, collaboration and a strong ability to deliver results.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Campaigns, Content Creation and Management

- Schedule and manage the annual marketing calendar in line with company objectives.

- Develop tailored campaigns for audiences to drive member engagement, brand and district awareness.

- Plan, execute and optimize campaigns across digital and print channels.

- Develop campaign toolkits and templates to support member participation.

- Maintain accurate and timely content on the company’s websites and channels to reflect the brand values, activity and evolving reputation.

- Responsible for sourcing, designing and maintaining an up-to-date bank of corporate assets.

 Event Planning and Delivery

Person Specification

- Marketing experience gained through working in direct response, member marketing or similar, likely to require at least 5 years prior relevant experience.

Reporting to the Project Lead, the Account Management Officer will manage relationships with STEM Learning’s valued funders while working to ambitious targets, ensuring they have an exceptional experience. Please note that this is a 12-month FTC maternity cover role. 

This role will be mostly home-based, with one office day per month (travel costs covered) at either London (City) or York University (walking distance from York city centre). Travel for meetings will be expensed. The National STEM Learning Centre based at York University is a unique and impressive teacher CPD venue, mirroring the modern classroom and laboratory facilities, as well as housing their inspirational resources centre. 

About the role

Key responsibilities for the Account Management Officer role include:

• Stewardship of Funders: Manage and streamline communications with STEM Learning’s growing group of funders.
• Creative Engagement: Develop innovative ways to engage with funders, including strategic partnerships, commercial activities, and employee engagement through the STEM Ambassadors programme.
• Effective Communication: Correspond with funders using creative and engaging methods.
• Creating “Wow” Moments: Build personal connections between funders and STEM Learning’s mission.
• Collaboration: Work with internal stakeholders to ensure effective partnership delivery.
• Impact Evidence: Leverage STEM Learning’s impact evidence and collaborate with the Evaluation Team.
• Growth and Renewals: Ensure the growth and renewal of existing partnerships.
• New Partnerships: Work with the Fundraising Development team on pitches and ensure a smooth handover of new wins.

The Communications team currently includes four people who work across the full breadth of Opportunity Green’s work, making sure our messages are communicated clearly to the right audiences at the right time. We are now looking for a Digital and SEO Manager to develop and deliver Opportunity Green’s digital and SEO strategy, ensuring our online presence effectively reaches, engages and inspires audiences.

What’s the role? 

The Digital and SEO Manager will report to Opportunity Green’s Communications Director. By harnessing data-driven insights and optimising our digital platforms, the Digital and SEO Manager will strengthen our communications impact and support the organisation’s mission to fill the gaps that others miss on climate change. You will also support the Comms Director in managing the communications team and their team projects, including direct line management of a multimedia-focused team member.

This is a new role to OG and it comes at an exciting time, when we are about to launch our new website. You will play a pivotal part in helping our website content reach the right audiences, monitoring its performance and developing it even further. 

Our Communications team supports all the workstreams and projects at Opportunity Green, spanning aviation, shipping, steel, agriculture, strategic litigation, climate justice, company coalitions, external partnerships and The SASHA Coalition, which is facilitated by OG and has a separate online presence. You will therefore need to be a great collaborator who is used to multitasking, a quick thinker and able to respond to situations as they arise. As the only employee dedicated to digital, you will be a strategic thinker who can shape our approach to emerging digital trends, while also being comfortable implementing the ideas you develop.

About the candidate 

We are looking for a candidate with: 

• A passion for using their digital skills and SEO knowledge to tackle climate change.

• Proven expertise in digital analysis and insights, with a strong track record of producing data-driven reports and actionable recommendations across a range of platforms. 

• Demonstrated experience in SEO account management and web development project management. 

Desirable skills and experience: 

We do not expect any candidate to have all skills listed below but rather we look for transferable skills and potential as well as past experience. 

• Genuine passion for using digital skills to tackle climate change and commitment to Opportunity Green's mission and values.

• Advanced knowledge of digital performance tools like Google Analytics, SEMrush, Power BI, Google Search Console, Google Tag Manager and Mailchimp. 

• Experience of running ad campaigns in Google Ads. 

• Hands-on familiarity with web technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript and CMS platforms including Wordpress and SquareSpace, and ability to integrate new features and functionality.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team. 

• Demonstrated experience of line management.

The successful candidate will be offered an annual salary of £50,000 plus 10% employer-contributed pension. Please note that Opportunity Green has fixed salary scales, with the possibility of step increases with strong performance. About the Role

Reporting into the senior finance leadership, you will take responsibility for core financial accounting activities, including month-end close, balance sheet integrity, statutory reporting and compliance.
