West London Centre for Counselling is a well-established charity which currently provides free counselling to the local community through a contract with NHS Talking Therapies in Hammersmith and Fulham, as well as low-cost counselling for which clients can self-refer directly online, and is expanding into other services under the leadership of a CEO who joined us in 2025.

We are now looking for an efficient Administrator to play a key role in supporting the Centre and its staff. The position involves updating our secure databases with appointments and clinical information, handling enquiries by email and telephone, providing receptionist duties, training counsellors in administrative procedures, and contributing to the overall smooth running of the Centre. 

The ideal candidate will have excellent attention to detail and exceptionally clear verbal and written communication skills, and a knowledge of - or willingness to learn about - the fields of counselling and psychotherapy, and will be a positive and thoughtful team player. 

We imagine this as a full time, 5-day-per-week position (35h pw), with at least one evening shift per week (until 9pm); however we are open to applications from people interested in the role on a part-time basis, please state this clearly in your application.

About the Patient Support Service

The Patient Support Service provides practical, emotional and financial support for anyone affected by chronic kidney disease. About the Role

Our regional Patient Support Officers play a key role in establishing Kidney Care UK in their designated region and enabling patients, their families, carers and professionals to access independant support on social, financial, health advocacy and wellbeing.

You will proactively engage with kidney patients and their families as a source of advice,information, and support to improve care and wellbeing outcomes for kidney patients. You will seek to inform and empower individuals, providing the tools and knowledge to enable confident self-management and be the regional face of Kidney Care UK patient support services, raise awareness of the service and the Charity and build strong relationships with kidney patients, the renal units, Kidney Patient Associations (KPAs), health professionals and other kidney stakeholder groups in the region. 

You will be responsible for the day-to-day delivery of the Patient Support Service across the region and the effective management of a caseload. This involves regular attendance at renal clinics in the region, building relationships with health and care professionals and being available for patients in the renal unit, on the phone or online, or to meet at a mutually convenient public location.

Key Responsibilities:

•  Liaise with and support patients and their carers face to face and by telephone to provide information, advice and support on a range of personal, emotional and practical matters.
• Through regular visits to renal units in your designated area, establish and maintain a presence to enable patients' easy access to Kidney Care UK support services.
• Promote and attend local health information events to raise awareness of Kidney Care UK and the benefits of its Patient Support Service with kidney patients, their families and relevant health professionals. 
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with the regional kidney community through fully engaging with KPAs, health professionals and relevant health and community stakeholder groups.
• Maintain accurate records to allow effective reporting on key performance indicators such as number of patients supported, type of support provided, key needs etc.

About you

You will have an empathy with our patient group and an understanding of kidney disease and the needs of people with kidney disease, their families and carers. You will be able to work independantly and have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written and above all have the ability to deal professionally, calmly and sympathetically with people affected by kidney disease.

An understanding of the relevant UK benefits legislation and entitlements is essential as is having excellent IT skills, including Word, Powerpoint and Excel. You will hold an Advice and Guidance qualification or be willing to complete it within 6 months of service in the role.

The role is home based but you will need to live within the region that you are applying for and have the ability to travel independantly throughout the area on a regular basis and to attend national meetings/events as required. There will also be a requirement to undertake occasional evening and weekend work and some flexibility to be able to work some irregular hours to meet the needs of our patients.

The areas are as follows:

North East: Newcastle Upon Tyne, Sunderland and North Cumbria. This role is part funded by the North Gas Network through the vulnerability and carbon monoxide allowance fund.

South West: Cornwall, Devon, Exeter and Plymouth. This role is funded by Wales and West Utilities through the vulnerability and carbon monoxide allowance fund.

Please be aware that as they are funded positions they are fixed term posts until 31 May 2028. There is a possibility of extension but no guarantee.

About the role:

We are looking to appoint a Family Support Worker on a full-time basis (35 hours, 5 days per week), to deliver a high-quality family support service as part of our London & South East Team to families in the local area, at a time where they need it most. 

Reporting to the Family Support Manager of the London & South East Care Team and working in partnership with health, education and social care professionals, you will take responsibility for providing needs-led emotional, social and practical support to families where a child or young person has a life threatening or terminal illness. You will enjoy responsibility for managing your own schedule, remaining flexible to the needs of the families on your caseload.

Having worked in a demanding and emotional environment you have a genuine interest in building supportive relationships and helping people; and having provided bereavement support to families, you understand processes of grief, loss and change - and how best to help others deal with its impact.

We are a specialist team working within the Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) sector, committed to delivering trauma-informed, survivor-led support. As the Head of Finance, you will provide strategic financial leadership while ensuring our day-to-day operations are exceptionally robust.  You will report directly to the Chief Executive Officer, line-manage a Senior Finance Manager, as well as working closely with our Board of Trustees.

In this role, you will be expected to serve as the organisation's financial conscience, ensuring absolute transparency, integrity, and strict adherence to UK fundraising regulations. Looking ahead, you will also play a key role in analysing commercial opportunities to drive new business growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Stewardship: Manage general ledgers, reserves, budgeting, and long-term financial modelling.
• Governance & Trustees: Work closely with the Board, Finance Committee, and Remuneration Committee.
• Compliance & Legal: Ensure complete adherence to HMRC, Charity Commission, and Charities SORP requirements.
• Risk Management: Maintain and update the Risk Register to protect charity assets.
• New Business & Commercial Growth: Provide costings and commercial modelling for new tenders and products.
• Team Leadership: Oversee the internal finance team and third-party payroll providers.

• Qualifications: You are a fully qualified CCAB or CIMA accountant with extensive post-qualification experience.
• Sector Knowledge: You have a proven track record in a senior charity finance role managing statutory accounts over full year cycles.
• Regulatory Expertise: You fully understand UK fundraising regulations, charity governance, and company law.
• Commercial Mindset: You can confidently support non-finance departments with commercial analysis to secure new contracts.
• Systems Experience: Experience with Sage and Salesforce is highly desirable

You will oversee all aspects of service delivery, including safeguarding, case management, move-on planning and support activities, ensuring women and children receive effective, person-centred support. You will also be responsible for the management of refuge properties, maintaining safe, secure and welcoming environments, and overseeing health and safety, housing management, repairs and voids.

The role includes leading and developing a team of refuge and children's workers, providing supervision, performance management and professional development opportunities to maintain a skilled and motivated workforce. You will also ensure compliance with contractual requirements, manage budgets, monitor performance and use data to drive continuous improvement.

Working closely with partner agencies and local networks, you will represent Hestia in multi-agency settings, building strong relationships with housing, health, social care, education and community organisations to ensure women and children can access the support they need to achieve positive outcomes.

What do I need to bring with me?

Alongside delivering our existing 1-1 counselling, self-development workshops and therapeutic support groups for women who have experienced domestic abuse, we are focused on developing our innovative mental health services for young women and girls, delivering new peer-led support groups and providing therapeutic groups to children and their mothers. We are also committed to developing further awarenessraising workshops and training for professionals, building on our research and policy to improve systems nationally.

About the role

As a Young Women & Girls' Groupworker, you will deliver therapeutic groupwork and short-term counselling to young women and girls aged 16–25 who are affected by, or at risk of, domestic abuse and related forms of gender-based violence.

The role combines psycho-educational group facilitation, one-to-one counselling, and outreach/engagement work, contributing to improved emotional wellbeing, confidence, and self-esteem among participants. All services are delivered within a client-led, trauma-informed and Person-Centred/Humanistic framework, and a strong commitment to this approach is essential

Hours: Part-time, 21 hours per week.

Location: Woman’s Trust premises including co-location with statutory partners and community partnership locations.Woman’s Trust operates a hybrid working model with a minimum of 50% to be on-site.
