We are seeking candidates with a strong understanding of trauma-informed practice and experience supporting people through the impact of traumatic bereavement and/or injury.

You will provide a specialist trauma-informed and bereavement-informed approach to care, helping individuals and families navigate the immediate and long-term impact of sudden loss or catastrophic injury. You will undertake a comprehensive needs, risk and safety assessment from which a bespoke support plan will be agreed with the person and/or families, ensuring that immediate wellbeing needs, vulnerabilities and safeguarding considerations are identified and addressed.

FearFree delivers services across the Southwest for victims, children and perpetrators of domestic abuse, sexual violence and stalking, with the aim to break the cycle of abuse and support all to live free from fear. We provide trauma responsive support, and this post will be fundamental to ensuring service users, stakeholders and partners experience this in our daily delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• To provide 1:1 support for medium risk clients who have previously been supported by our IDVA team.
• Deliver structured, evidence-based and trauma-responsive group programmes for victims/survivors and individuals who have used harm. 
• Contribute to joint safety and support planning alongside IDVAs. 
• Monitor and respond to safeguarding concerns in with organisational practices. 
• Provide direct assessment, casework support, advice, information, and advocacy through telephone contact, and/or meetings at the relevant practice.  
• Provide support to increase people’s personal safety, and that of any children, and inform them of their rights and options in terms of housing, legal and welfare rights. 
• To provide signposting and onward referrals to patients. 
• To provide ongoing specialist advice and support around Domestic Abuse (DA). 
• To provide training to multi-agency partners on understanding, recognising and responding to DA. 
• Develop good working relationships and liaise with outside agencies where needed.   
• Keep accurate records of all referrals received and of work done with or on behalf of service users.  
• Work flexibly and manage your own schedule, including evening work on a rotational basis to meet the needs of those unable to access support during working hours.

• Deliver a programme of targeted group sessions aimed at preventing sexual exploitation and addressing emerging harmful sexual behaviours (complementing the universal and enhanced RSE offer delivered by the Sex Ed Forum).
• Build professional relationships with Surrey education providers, arranging and delivering group sessions across a range of settings.
• Maintain accurate case notes and monitoring data, contributing to timely reporting for the service and funders.
• Work collaboratively with key partners including Children’s Services, Public Health, Police, LSCB, the Sex Ed Forum, and Community Safety teams.
• Support the development and delivery of awareness‑raising campaigns targeting young people, parents and carers, professionals, and the wider community.
• Work closely with WiSE staff and wider professionals to identify young people at higher risk and refer them to WiSE project workers for specialist intervention.

The Organisation

The Royal Parks (TRP) is a charity created in March 2017. We manage over 5,000 acres of diverse parkland, rare habitats and historic buildings and monuments in eight Royal Parks across London. These are Hyde Park, Kensington Gardens, The Green Park, St James’s Park, The Regent's Park and Primrose Hill, Greenwich Park, Richmond Park and Bushy Park.

Our Help Nature Thrive project is all about biodiversity and involves creating and enhancing habitats across the Royal Parks, commissioning expert research and providing visitors with plenty of opportunities to connect with wildlife and nature.

We are now looking for a Biodiversity Project Officer to join us on a full-time basis for a fixed-term contract until 30th September 2027.

The Role

As a Biodiversity Project Officer, you will help us deliver an ambitious programme of biodiversity enhancement projects in the heart of London as part of our Help Nature Thrive initiative, funded by players of Peoples’ Postcode Lottery.

Working closely with colleagues, external partners, volunteers and contractors, you will boost biodiversity and increase our parks’ resilience to climate change.

You will be involved at all stages of project delivery, from scoping potential projects to developing proposals, undertaking practical work, and directing and supervising others.

Moreover, you will engage the public, sharing our objectives, project progress and outcomes to ensure we have public buy-in for this important work.

Additionally, you will:

• Support the delivery of our Biodiversity Framework and action plan
• Respond to general conservation enquiries and provide specialist nature conservation advice
• Plan, schedule and co-ordinate the Help Nature Thrive Conservation and Enhancement Programme
• Help manage the project budget
• Collect, collate and share data with colleagues
• Ensure data on projects and volunteers is recorded

About You

To be considered as a Biodiversity Project Officer, you will need:

• Experience of scoping, designing and delivering conservation management and enhancement projects in a range of habitats
• Experience of managing consultants and contractors in the delivery of conservation projects
• Excellent advocacy, communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills
• Excellent team working and organisation skills

Housing First Support Worker (28 hours per week)

Spitalfields Crypt Trust (SCT) is recruiting a Housing First Support Worker to join our specialist team supporting people who have experienced homelessness and other traumatic events.

In this role, you’ll hold a small caseload (around six residents) and provide tailored, person-centred, trauma-informed support that helps people sustain their tenancies, improve their wellbeing, and work towards recovery on their own terms. You’ll build trusting relationships over time, combining practical housing-related support (such as moving in, budgeting, appointments, maintaining a home and accessing community resources) with strong advocacy to ensure residents can access healthcare, benefits, housing services and specialist support.

You’ll work closely with SCT colleagues and a range of external partners across Tower Hamlets to remove barriers, reduce risk, and prevent eviction. The post includes completing needs and risk assessments, maintaining clear case records (including on In-Form or similar systems), and contributing to reporting and service learning. This is a values-led role for someone who is organised, resilient, and confident working independently with adults facing multiple disadvantage (including addiction, mental ill health, and long-term homelessness).

This is a part-time post (28 hours per week) with a salary up to £32,000 (up to £25,600 pro rata). Enhanced Adult Workforce DBS is required.
