Who we are

Hospice at Home’s skilled team of Registered Nurses and Healthcare Assistants provide our exceptional core services of palliative and end of life care and support people in their last year of life also providing additional services such as Lymphoedema, Bereavement and Family Support, Befriending, Occupational Therapy and Complementary Therapy.

We provide individualised care and support to improve quality of life and our end of life care helps facilitate a peaceful and dignified death in the home and support to those who are bereaved.

Although we receive some funding from the NHS, we need to raise over 85% of our running costs in order to ensure that this vital help is available when needed and remains free of charge to patients and their families.

Our clinical service area covers a mixture of urban and rural communities, a region of approximately 1,500 square miles throughout North and East Cumbria

Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Major Gifts & Individual Giving Lead to join our fundraising team.

This role leads the operational development of Hospice at Home Carlisle and North Lakeland’s Major Gifts, Individual Giving and Legacy programmes, and support in the development of Trust & Foundation applications.

As a new area of focus for the organisation, the postholder will be responsible for designing, launching and growing a full supporter journey for individual donors—from regular giving through to mid‑value, major gifts and Legacy giving. They will build and manage a strong pipeline of donors and prospects, cultivating long‑term philanthropic support for the charity.

The role also carries responsibility for developing strategic corporate partnerships with a focus on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) alignment, and values‑led partnerships that deliver sustainable mutual benefit.

They will drive the charity’s communications and supporter experience. Working with the wider fundraising team, the postholder will help design and deliver a communications plan, oversee development of social media, maintain website content, and produce print and digital materials to support fundraising and raise awareness of fundraising opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead Individual Giving, major donor, legacy and Trust & Foundation income streams.

Essential Requirements

• Degree‑level qualification (or equivalent experience) and GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent)
• Significant experience delivering major donor, individual giving, legacy and/or corporate fundraising, with a track record of securing substantial or multi‑year income
• Proven ability to develop and deliver fundraising strategies, programmes and compelling cases for support
• Excellent relationship‑building, communication and presentation skills, including handling sensitive conversations
• Strong analytical capability, using data, insight and CRM systems to inform decisions and improve performance
• Confident, creative and persuasive storyteller across written and verbal communications
• Experience building new programmes and partnerships, including CSR/ESG‑aligned corporates
• Ability to manage people, priorities and multiple deadlines effectively
• Strategic, detail‑focused, proactive and resilient, with a strong values‑led and supporter‑centred approach
• Sound knowledge of fundraising regulation, GDPR and best practice
• Full UK driving licence, access to a vehicle, and willingness to work occasional evenings/weekends

We are now seeking a Head of Major Gifts (Individuals) to lead this important area. Reporting to the Deputy Fundraising Director, Key Relationships, you will jointly lead the major gifts function alongside the Head of Major Gifts (Trusts & Foundations), combining strategic leadership with hands-on fundraising. You will jointly lead a team of Major Gifts specialists while personally managing a portfolio of the organisation’s most significant donors, securing six- and seven-figure gifts. You will also lead Greenpeace UK’s contribution to a high-profile global capital campaign to raise €100 million, helping fund a pioneering fossil fuel–free ship and accelerate climate and biodiversity work.

As Head of Major Gifts (Individuals), you will:

• Develop and deliver the major gifts strategy, driving ambitious income growth aligned to UK and global priorities
• Lead Greenpeace UK’s contribution to the €100M Global Capital Campaign, translating global strategy into UK delivery
• Personally cultivate and secure transformational gifts from high-net-worth individuals
• Line manage the Major Gifts Manager and wider team alongside the Head of Trusts & Foundations, creating a high-performing, collaborative and values-led culture
• Oversee pipeline development, prospect research and donor stewardship to ensure sustainable growth
• Work across fundraising, campaigns and communications to develop compelling donor propositions
• Influence senior stakeholders, trustees and international colleagues to maximise major donor engagement

Essential skills and experience:

• Significant experience in senior-level major gifts fundraising with a track record of securing six- and seven-figure gifts from U/HNWIs.
• Experience of leading fundraising strategy and delivering sustained income growth.
• Demonstrated experience of leading, developing, and motivating teams, with a proven track record of achieving high performance.
• Experience of working with senior stakeholders, trustees, and high-net-worth individuals.
• Strong understanding of international or capital campaign fundraising, with direct experience a distinct advantage.
• Experience of managing budgets and meeting ambitious financial targets.
• Knowledge of, or experience working in, the environmental, climate, or biodiversity sectors is a distinct advantage to enable credible and insightful engagement with expert colleagues, partners and donors

About the role 

This role leads the day-to-day operational management and development of WGN’s Clinical Services, ensuring the delivery of innovative, safe, high-quality, survivor-centred, trauma-informed and culturally responsive support for survivors of violence against women and girls (VAWG). You will provide clinical and operational leadership across counselling services, supporting therapists and practitioners to manage clinical risk and safeguarding concerns effectively, within a Black feminist, intersectional and Holistic Empowerment Recovery (HER) framework.

This role is offered on a part-time basis (28 hours per week worked over 4 days).

Job description 

As the Clinical Manager, you will:

• Provide operational and clinical leadership across counselling services, overseeing therapeutic pathways, referrals, assessments, allocations, safeguarding and risk management, ensuring high-quality, trauma-informed and culturally responsive support.

• Support therapists, High Intensity Therapists (HITs) and honorary counsellors through clinical guidance, recruitment, induction, reflective practice, wellbeing initiatives and ongoing professional development, embedding anti-oppressive, intersectional and survivor-centred practice.

• Lead on safeguarding and multi-agency working, supporting practitioners to respond effectively to risk, maintain safe practice and ensure consistent documentation and ethical information sharing.

• Oversee clinical governance and quality assurance, ensuring adherence to professional standards, robust data protection and confidentiality practices, and the development of clinical protocols and guidance.

• Support monitoring, evaluation and impact reporting, ensuring effective data collection and survivor involvement to inform ongoing service improvement and co-production.

You will work with the Senior Service Manager to ensure the protection of women and children’s rights. You will represent Advance in partnership meetings and deputise for the Senior Service Manager as required, working closely with partners such as the Police and Social Care teams to improve services for survivors of Domestic Abuse.

You will have responsibility for supporting and line-managing, including performance management, domestic violence frontline workers to provide a high-quality front-line service to women experiencing violence against women and girls while ensuring that Advance’s values, policies and procedures are embedded into service delivery.

You will also take the lead in day-to-day crisis situations and provide day to day advice and guidance on casework, safeguarding and information sharing concerns. You will oversee and improve the duty system while also overseeing rota systems including ensuring there is regular attendance at the MARAC and specialist court.

To be successful as the Ealing Service Manager you will need the below experience and skills:

You will have a thorough understanding of violence against women and girls with a particular focus on domestic violence (physical, emotional and sexual violence, ‘honour- based violence’, forced marriage and FGM). With an excellent understanding of the impact of domestic violence on children and young people, families and communities. A breadth and thorough knowledge of safeguarding practice, procedures and legislation. A good understanding of the operation of the criminal justice system, MARAC and public sector environment in which services operate. Brining significant experience of building and maintaining a strong and motivated team. With experience of delivering training and workshops in a multi-agency setting and a proven track record of building and maintaining networks and working with partner agencies and other stakeholders to develop and deliver services.

About the Role

Norwood is investing in the future of Positive Behaviour Support across both our adult and Children & Family Services.

This is a strategic role with the mandate to shape, strengthen and modernise PBS practice across Ravenswood and our North West London services. You will define what high-quality, evidence-based and person-centred PBS looks like at Norwood and ensure it is delivered consistently.

The majority of the role will focus on adult services, with an important proportion supporting our Children & Family Services offer for children and young people aged 5 to 18.  This includes working with neurodivergent children, often with complex and co-occurring needs.  In the medium term, the role will also contribute to thinking around how PBS principles can support neurodivergent children in more mainstream settings.

This role moves beyond behaviour management.  It is about enabling children, young people and adults to live fuller, safer and more independent lives through proactive, strengths-based and positive risk approaches.

• Receive regular clinical supervision to ensure strong case management, reflective practice and ongoing professional support.
• Build and develop a specialist PBS function with clear purpose and accountability

What the job involves 

You’ll lead our business development strategy for corporate partnerships, focusing on securing high-value, purpose-driven relationships with long-term potential (typically 6–8 figure), and building a robust pipeline to deliver sustainable income growth. 

• Own and deliver the business development plan, targeting major prospects and flagship partnerships with transformational potential. 

• Identify, prioritise and cultivate opportunities across key sectors (including sport and health), shifting activity from short-term, transactional asks to insight-led, multi-year partnerships. 

• Shape and test compelling funding propositions, working with internal experts (including Communications, Black Health Equity, Research, Health Services, and Equity & Improvement) to build integrated partnership offers. 

• Lead proposal development end-to-end: briefing colleagues, coordinating inputs, writing and reviewing pitches, and ensuring submissions are high quality, compelling and on time. 

• Take overall accountability for the business development pipeline: keeping it strategically aligned, properly valued, actively progressed and accurately forecast. 

• Improve performance through better pipeline discipline: growing value and volume at each stage, increasing conversion, and reducing lead times from opportunity identification to proposal submission. 

• Line manage and develop a team of three experienced Business Development Managers (including sector/specialist roles), setting clear objectives and coaching for confident, high-performance delivery. 

• Lead and support negotiations with senior stakeholders, ensuring new partnerships protect and enhance our brand, values and reputation. 

• Work closely with partnership colleagues to transition newly secured partners into account development so relationships are onboarded smoothly and set up to scale. 

What we want from you 

You’re a strategic, commercially minded new business leader who can spot and shape big opportunities, influence at senior levels, and convert complex partnership conversations into high-value, multi-year income. 

• Significant experience securing new, high-value corporate partnerships (typically 6–8 figure) in a commercial organisation, charity and/or agency environment. 

• A strong track record of delivering income through new business acquisition, with credible examples of taking prospects from first contact through to signed agreement. 

• Confidence developing high-value propositions and partnership packages that work for both the organisation and the partner. 

• Excellent pipeline management skills, with experience improving conversion rates, forecasting and proposal turnaround times.

About the Role

As Individual Giving Manager, you will be responsible for acquiring, developing and increasing income from new and existing supporters through regular giving, appeals, campaigns, direct marketing initiatives and our established lottery. You will line manage the Legacy and Philanthropy Fundraiser and the Supporter Care team, overseeing major donor relationships, Gifts in Wills promotion and administration, donation processing and the effective use of our CRM system. Working closely with the Director of Fundraising, you will also support the management and development of Weston Hospicecare’s mature lottery.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all individual giving activity, reviewing, developing and delivering the Individual Giving Programme while analysing performance and maximising all income streams.
• Develop an annual programme of donor communications, collaborating with the Communications team to tailor approaches for different supporter audiences.
• Use insight and sector research to inform and strengthen fundraising approaches, ensuring the Individual Giving Programme is relevant, accessible and appealing to existing and new donors.
