We are seeking an experienced Internal Auditor who will play a critical role in providing independent assurance that the charity's risk management, governance and internal control processes are operating effectively. The successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating the effectiveness of systems and procedures; compliance with regulations and policies and recommending improvements, with direct and open reporting and escalation to the CEO.
Reporting to the Senior Risk Manager, the Internal Auditor will work closely with several key stakeholders across the Finance and Corporate Services division. The postholder will also engage external internal auditors for specialist audits as required, within the budget allocated for internal audit work.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys independence, investigative thinking, and the opportunity to add real value through impactful assurance and insight.
We operate a hybrid working model. We offer flexibility on working from home but require the applicant to be in our central London office a minimum of one day per week. Travel costs to the London office are the responsibility of the postholder and are not covered by the charity.

The Role
As our Head of Fundraising & Business Development, you will lead efforts to secure and diversify funding, building a sustainable resource base to support our global mission.
Leading the Fundraising and Business Development Team, you will drive the implementation of our resource mobilisation strategy, focusing on increasing non-ODA income and expanding flexible and programmatic funding.
Working closely with colleagues across fundraising, finance, research and impact teams, you will help close funding gaps by developing strong donor relationships, negotiating funding agreements and shaping compelling funding propositions.
Alongside collaborating with the Director of Fundraising and Communications and supporting engagement with the Board of Trustees, you will manage systems, data and internal processes that strengthen fundraising performance and ensure effective delivery.

About You
To be considered as our Head of Fundraising & Business Development, you will need:
- Significant experience leading fundraising functions in an international NGO or charity

- The ability to design and deliver income-generation strategies across multiple streams
- A strong understanding of the evolving landscape of finance and resource mobilisation for sustainable development

What you’ll do
You will lead Anna Freud’s fundraising strategy and team to deliver sustainable income growth from approximately £5 million annually across diverse income streams, ensuring strong stewardship, pipeline development, and strategic leadership to support the organisation’s mission. Essential skills and experience:
- Proven success in high‑value fundraising, including cultivating and sustaining long‑term relationships with major donors, trusts, foundations and corporate partners.

- Expertise in funding project and programmes of charitable work, as well as growing unrestricted income

There are two parts to the Primary Science Mentor role. The majority of the role will focus on strengthening primary science teaching and leadership by leading our third Priority Areas initiative in North-West England. Joining our Policy and Research Team, you will help influence local and national policy, ensuring that the voices and experiences of missing people and their families are heard at the highest levels. Your work will directly shape how the UK understands and responds to missing people — and will help protect those at greatest risk of harm. You will learn from and work with people who have been missing, and people who have reported a loved one missing, to shape workplans and to call for change.
You will act as Co-Secretariat for the APPG for Missing Children and Adults, and build relationships with key stakeholders in government, parliament, the police and safeguarding agencies, finding ways to engage and motivate policy makers to better understand the issues affecting missing people and their families, and to make positive changes.
You will become expert in the issue of missing, including the risks that cause people to go and the harm they experience while away. This will also involve monitoring the policy landscape for opportunities to influence changes in the response to missing people, and provide expert insight and guidance to help shape improvement.
You will represent issues facing some of the most marginalised and vulnerable communities. This might include people who face sexual or criminal exploitation, people experiencing mental health problems or people who face discrimination in the response they receive from statutory services when they seek help in relation to the issue of missing, amongst others. This will sometimes include engaging with and challenging professionals in organisations and systems that exist with embedded discrimination.
ABOUT YOU
You will have:

The Role:

This role is critical in ensuring that members receive excellent customer service, timely communication, and accurate information about the institute’s services and benefits to support the organisation’s mission to engage and retain members, ensuring they receive value from their membership and are satisfied with their experience.

Key Responsibilities:
Membership Administration
· Support the renewals process to ensure prompt collection of membership subscriptions including conducting follow-up campaigns to minimise lapsers.
· Manage correspondence related to the onboarding process including preparing and sending membership welcome emails, and other communications as appropriate.
· Manage the Membership inbox responding to queries and assigning emails to colleagues or others as necessary.
· Support with the administration of Organisational Members including processing new members, issuing invoices and any other tasks as required.
· Assist with the development and implementation of new membership strategies.
· Other tasks to support the Membership and Business Development Director and Membership Manager as necessary.
Member Engagement and Digital Events
· Coordinate and deliver a structured programme of online events, including:
- Lunch & Learn sessions
- Drop-in member forums
- Themed webinar series covering both technical and non-technical topics
· Manage all webinar logistics, including registration, hosting, and post-event communications.
· Work closely with the Communities Officer and regional branches to promote local and regional events.
· Gather and analyse event feedback and attendance data to evaluate engagement levels and member satisfaction.
Digital Marketing & Communications
· Plan and deliver targeted marketing campaigns to promote membership activities, including a monthly member-focused email highlighting benefits such as mentoring, e-learning, and events.
· Create engaging and relevant content for the NI website, newsletters, and social media channels (e.g. LinkedIn).
· Develop promotional materials and manage a central events calendar to ensure consistent and timely communications.
· Monitor the Communications inbox responding to requests and assigning emails to colleagues or others as necessary
· Collaborate with the Membership and Business Development Director and Marketing and Communications Manager to assist with any other membership recruitment initiatives and campaigns as required.
Data Management & Reporting
- Maintain and regularly cleanse the membership database to ensure all records are accurate and up to date relating to membership and marketing.
- Generate and manage Nuclear Future mailing lists as required.
- Produce analytical reports on membership growth, retention, and engagement.
- Collect, analyse, and present member feedback from surveys and event participation.
- Deliver quarterly reports highlighting engagement trends and insights.
- Apply both quantitative and qualitative data to inform and shape future engagement strategies.
- Ensure full compliance with data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR).
Customer Service
· Serve as a point of contact for current and potential members, answering enquiries via phone, email, and online.
· Provide information about membership benefits, policies, and procedures.
· Resolve membership-related issues or concerns in a timely and professional manner.
General
· Liaise with suppliers and partners where needed to deliver promotional or event materials.
· Support other NI operational activities as required.
Experience and Skills
Essential Experience
· 2–3 years’ experience in membership administration, customer service, event co-ordination or marketing or a similar administrative role, ideally within a non-profit, association, or professional membership organisation.
· Proficient in using CRM or membership management systems, including database management, reporting.
· Experience in administering membership or customer renewals processes.
· Ability to deliver high-quality customer service in a professional environment.
· Ability to write compelling promotional copy.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience using digital engagement and event tools such as Eventbrite, Cvent, Mailchimp, LinkedIn, and Microsoft Teams.
· Confident in handling data, analysing information, and producing clear, accurate reports.
Desirable Experience
- Experience in developing and delivering membership recruitment initiatives and campaigns.
- Experience in analysing member feedback and engagement data.
- Experience working with digital design tools such as Canva.
- Experience working with and supporting volunteer networks or regional teams.

Location
This role will mainly involve remote working, with occasional travel to events, meetings or conferences (approximately one to two days per month).
