Birmingham and Solihull Women’s Aid have for over 45 years supported women and children with services around domestic violence and abuse. Could you be a part of our team as we continue our mission to end domestic violence and abuse? 

The region’s leading charity in tackling violence against women and girls, BSWA offers a helpline, webchat, drop in and and community support as well as emergency accommodation in six refuges across the area.

Projects supports women in the criminal justice system, in healthcare settings, and throughout the community, offering support to women and children experiencing domestic violence. Alongside this, we also have staff offering training and consultancy to businesses and health and social care professionals alike, raising awareness on gender based violence issues.

Key Responsibilities -

To work as part of the Management Team with specific responsibility for managing 
the young women’s refuge accommodation, ensuring a high-quality service for young 
women and children who have experienced domestic violence. To support and 
supervise a staff team, in the development and delivery of services for young women 
and children in refuge.

Experience Required -

- Working with young women and children affected by domestic violence

- Project Management

- Supervising staff/volunteers 

- Developing strong working relationships with other organisations, both voluntary and statutory

- Managing safeguarding issues for vulnerable young women and children

- Monitoring and evaluating projects, producing relevant reports and implementing learning

Buckinghamshire has a fast-growing older population who are the heart and soul of our communities – for example as employers, workers, volunteers, mentors, carers and child-minders. The Head of Charitable Services is a new role and will play a pivotal part in leading this growth and supporting and developing the teams and culture that deliver them. Job purpose
Lead services and teams that support, champion and empower older Bucks residents to meet the many challenges and opportunities of ageing, through charitable services that have high impact and that are sustainably funded, working with all communities in Bucks and through partner collaboration.

The role

Will oversee the development and delivery of high quality, person-centred, compassionate and effective support and services for older people across Bucks that has demonstrable impact and quality - building community connection and championing older people’s needs and opportunities. You will help shape the charity’s charitable approach, work on developing new services, funded from grant applications and community collaboration, and build cases for support and demonstrable impact case studies. Reporting to the CEO, you will work closely with the Head of Commercial Services and Development, dovetailing referral pathways and aligning practice and processes.
 

Key tasks and responsibilities

• Meet the needs of older Bucks residents through effective, high quality, safe and compassionate support and services that can demonstrate impact and are sustainable financially, meeting appropriate quality standards where required
• Develop our people and volunteers, including supporting our safeguarding lead on best practice supervision, risk assessment and mitigation, case work guidance, safeguarding, line management and people development
• Work with SLT to support our Trustee Board, Board Officers and Sub-Committees to enable them to guide and steward the charity appropriately, including developing reports and information/KPIs
• Develop and deliver financially sustainable services, planning and managing income and costs in line with strategy and budgets, working with the Finance leadership and SLT
• Help develop and transform our data collection and story-telling, enabling the organisation to create and share compelling and inspiring impact and outcome reports for stakeholders 
• Support the maintenance and development of our website and social media strategy and assets to support our work and programmes
• Optimise and raise awareness of our services and impact, through developing effective outreach and presentations to key stakeholders, groups, communities and funders
• Act as a champion of older people and an Age Friendly Bucks, representing the charity at key forums, Boards and activities in order to achieve our mission and strategic goals, bringing the voice and needs of older people to the fore.

SV 2 is a registered charity supporting victims and survivors of sexual abuse and sexual assault across Derby City and Derbyshire. We deliver specialist support, education and prevention services, including ISVA and ChISVA services and a BACP‑accredited therapy service.

We are looking to expand our pool of experienced, trauma‑informed Clinical Supervisors to provide reflective, supportive and ethically focused supervision to staff working across our services. You will hold a Level 5 or Level 6 (or equivalent) Clinical Supervision qualification, be registered/accredited with BACP/UKCP/NCS (or equivalent), and hold a recognised Level 6 counselling/psychotherapy qualification.

• Manage the guardian sign-up and move-in process.
• Be the main point of contact for guardians.
• Liaise with guardians to resolve any issues or concerns, e.g. poor conduct, licence breaches or vulnerability concerns.
• Work closely with guardians when they need to move on from Dot Dot Dot properties.
• Draw on data to gain insight into guardians and to guide support or interventions as required.
• Coordinate or assist with events, partnerships and other activities to promote volunteering and/or community engagement.
• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure repairs are properly reported and dealt with.
• Collaborate with colleagues to fill voids quickly with suitable guardians.

Manage properties

• Collaborate with colleagues ensure that properties are monitored, set up and managed in line with internal standards, client requirements and any relevant licensing or regulatory standards.
• Organise, monitor and manage the handback of properties to clients, ensuring guardian and client relationships are managed professionally and  effectively.
• Monitor budgets and spending on property issues, to make good choices about spending and to inform budget planning and risk management.
• Collaborate with clients on property repairs, major works or other issues.
• Provide clients with reports and information about their property as required.

Provide excellent client service

• Liaise closely with clients (building owners) to understand their needs and to keep them updated and informed about our work.
• Build strong day-to-day relationships with client contacts, working in a collaborative and service- focused way.
• Understand our client agreements and ensure that our service delivery meets the unique requirements of each contract.
• Identify opportunities to add value for our clients, encouraging the best social and financial value for all parties.

About the role

Reporting in to the Campaigns Advisor, the Campaigns Officer will lead on the delivery of Christian Aid campaigns aimed at both movement building (through the development of supporters’ agency and ability to lead campaigns), and mobilisation (encouraging key audiences in the church and the wider to public to achieve strategic policy, legislative and culture change).

The post-holder will be develop and deliver high impact plans, tactics and activities that align with the strategies developed for campaigns, in relation to supporting churches and community groups (with a focus on Black Christians, Pentecostal and Charismatic Churches, and young adult Christians) and mobilising supporters to engage advocacy targets in political, private sector or in church environments.

Some of the main areas of responsibility for the Campaigns Officer include:

• Develop and implement movement building and mobilisation strategies, tactics and plans for Christian Aid's core campaigns, proactively identifying opportunities for meaningful change.
• Materials are created, communications events are developed and delivered, and campaign tools are rolled out for target audiences that engage and inspire a deeper understanding of how to approach global justice and poverty issues; and that engage and inspire them to undertake campaign actions and maximise impact.
• Organising opportunities are developed, tested and learnt from to support churches and other public audiences in the delivery of core campaigns.
• Digital opportunities are maximised to mobilise church and other public audiences at scale to influence advocacy targets on core campaigns.
• Young Adult Christians are resourced and supported, deepening their understanding about issues of global justice and poverty, and empower their own agency to tackle these issues and to be a key part of campaigns.
• Organising and power building principles are embedded in campaign strategies and tactics and meet organisational values and goals.
• Ensure coalition campaigning is influenced and/or led (where appropriate) by Christian Aid and meets organisational values and goals.
• Campaigns Volunteer roles are created, recruited and effectively managed, creating a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
• Collaborate with staff across IPE, ensuring they are supported to engage their key audiences and involved with movement building and mobilisation, embracing a team mindset aligned with organisational values and goals.

This role is a fixed term contract for a period of around 6-months

About you

Who we are looking for:

Essential:

• Knowledge of campaigning, activism and organising methodologies and techniques: how to promote a campaign and mobilise a wide range of supporters to win campaigns.
• Proven project management skills.
• Experience of campaigning (preferably in a community or church-based context) and movement building including digital campaigning, resource-production, event management, writing and marketing.
• The ability to communicate complex messages creatively and effectively to diverse audiences through a range of different media.
• Experience of breaking down complex issues into engaging and accessible material, e.g. leaflets, flyers, posters, web content, e-actions and social networking tools.
• The ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders at all levels of an organisation.
• The ability to lead workshops and facilitate training.
• Substantial experience of developing or supporting networks of activist groups.
• Demonstrable understanding of UK churches in their diversity and of the UK campaigning environment.
• Strong mentoring skills

Desirable:

• Experience of delivering campaigns and movement building within a Christian/Church context.
• Experience working with young adults and young people.
• Experience of public speaking.

Knights Youth Centre (KYC) was established in 1936 as an independent Christian Charity. A critical aspect of this role involves fundraising, business development, and monitoring the impact of all initiatives.

Key responsibilities include:

· Overseeing youth provision, including mentoring, youth clubs and targeted interventions.

· Ensuring effective financial management and income generation to sustain and expand services.
