Job description

Trusts & Grants Manager

We are seeking an experienced Trusts & Grants fundraiser to develop high-value relationships, grow a strong funding pipeline and secure significant income.

Salary: Circa £41,300 per annum + London weighting where applicable
Location: Home-based, UK nationwide
Hours: 35 hours per week
Contract: Permanent
Closing date: 23rd September 2026 – CV’s will be reviewed on a rolling basis

About the role

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Trusts & Grants fundraiser who enjoys both developing new opportunities and building strong, long-term relationships with funders.

Working within a High Value Engagement team, you will focus primarily on trusts and statutory funders with the potential to give £50,000+ per year, alongside managing a smaller portfolio of trusts giving below this level.

A key part of the role will be identifying and cultivating new prospects, strengthening the funding pipeline and developing relationships that lead to significant and recurring support. You will bring tenacity, curiosity and strong relationship-building skills, with the ambition to secure six-figure gifts.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Identifying and developing new 5-, 6- and 7-figure funding opportunities
  • Researching trusts, foundations and statutory funders to build a strong prospect pipeline
  • Developing compelling, high-quality funding applications and proposals
  • Building and maintaining excellent relationships with existing and prospective funders
  • Managing funded projects and producing high-quality narrative and financial reports
  • Working closely with colleagues across the organisation to develop strong funding propositions
  • Delivering excellent stewardship and finding engaging ways to keep supporters connected
  • Contributing to donor events and representing the organisation externally
  • Managing accurate donor and financial information through the CRM system

Regular travel may occasionally be required for team meetings, stakeholder meetings and conferences.

About you

You will have experience of trust and statutory fundraising within the charity sector and a proven track record of securing five-figure or higher gifts.

You will be confident researching and approaching new funders, developing relationships and turning opportunities into sustainable income.

An excellent communicator and persuasive writer, you will be able to take complex information and turn it into clear, compelling proposals. You will also be organised, target-driven and comfortable managing your own workload while collaborating with colleagues at all levels.

Experience of CRM databases, prospect research and grant management will also be important.

About the organisation

You will be joining a leading UK charity working to create lasting change for people affected by a life-changing health condition.

This is an opportunity to use your fundraising expertise within an established High Value Engagement team, helping to secure significant funding that enables vital services, support and wider charitable work to continue and grow.

Other roles you may have experience of could include: Trusts Manager, Trusts Fundraising Manager, Trusts and Foundations Manager, Grants Manager, Senior Trusts Fundraiser, Trusts & Statutory Fundraising Manager, High Value Fundraising Manager, Institutional Funding Manager or Senior Fundraising Manager.
