We are seeking an experienced, qualified finance professional to join our Senior Leadership Team as Finance Director . This is a strategic role that combines financial leadership with oversight of IT, systems, data infrastructure and organisational resilience. 

Working closely with the CEO, Head of Business Development and Finance Manager, you will help ensure Advonet remains financially sustainable, well-managed and prepared for the future. Alongside responsibility for financial planning, governance, risk management, audit and Board reporting, you will lead work to strengthen our digital infrastructure, cyber resilience, data protection arrangements and organisational systems. 

This role will suit someone who enjoys operating at a strategic level, bringing clear judgement, constructive challenge and practical leadership. We are particularly interested in hearing from qualified accountants who have experience of supporting organisational change, overseeing systems and infrastructure, and working with senior leaders and trustees.

About you

You will have experience of working in a charity or customer focused environment and be able to demonstrate success in building effective relationships with excellent relationship management skills.  Being able to manage a wide range of tasks, work well under pressure together with a commitment and desire to make a difference is essential for this role.

The post holder will have excellent communication, organisational and IT skills with the ability to be flexible with your workload and prioritise effectively.  Experience in fundraising, partnerships, or business development (ideally with corporate audiences) and using Raiser’s Edge or similar CRM system would be an advantage but not essential.

About the role

The Company Partnership Fundraiser willgrow income from companies and organisations across the UK The role will focus primarily on employee-led fundraising and local business support, developing relationships that arise from personal connections to myeloma and growing these into long-term sources of income and engagement. They will build on local company opportunities often identified by the Community Fundraisers and promote Myeloma UK’s exciting range of events to encourage participation and support, as well as proactively identify new opportunities for company support.

You will work with Fundraising colleagues, collaboratively identifying wider fundraising opportunities such as community events, major donor, and legacy leads which can then be developed further by the relevant fundraising specialist in the team. The role will require travel throughout the UK to maximise engagement opportunities with supporters and income generation. As well as quarterly team meetings and other opportunities to network with Myeloma UK colleagues.

The post holder will provide the highest quality of stewardship and supporter journey to maximise engagement, retention and build a sustainable pipeline of support as well as representing Myeloma UK at meetings, events, and networking opportunities to build awareness and generate support,

The Head of Facilities & Safety Governance provides strategic and operational leadership for the Union’s facilities functions, ensuring the delivery of excellent services to students, staff, and the public, while developing these services in line with the Union’s strategies and objectives.

The Communications Manager provides operational leadership for CLAPA's communications delivery, ensuring communications and marketing activity is effectively planned, prioritised and delivered in support of the charity's strategic objectives. 

Reporting to the Head of Communications and Marketing, the postholder is responsible for translating the communications strategy into coordinated day-to-day delivery. Job Purpose:

To raise awareness of the work and priorities of MSF with core target audiences via coverage in UK and international radio, podcasts, TV, print, online and documentaries.

Maintain relationships with international colleagues e.g. the IO, Communication Advisors, other press officers in key hubs globally as well as field communications teams.

Together with the other Senior Press Officer, deputise for Head of Media on rotation.

Secure both proactive and reactive media coverage – reacting in a swift manner to incoming news requests and seeking out new opportunities for coverage. The majority of the time you will be handling reactive news enquiries, and identifying opportunities in the news cycle to pitch proactively. During emergencies, the focus would be on reactive.

Support more junior members of the team – including line management of a press officer.

You will be part of an on-call / out of hours rota, including evenings and weekends, for which you will accumulate TOIL.

As a Shop Manager for Alder Hey Children’s Charity, you will deliver sales, Gift Aid and profit targets to generate income for our charity. You will empower and lead a diverse shop team, including volunteers, always demonstrating our Charity Values of:

Income Generation

• Accountable for the shop’s performance in relation to all sales targets and Gift Aid targets and KPI’s. Ensuring that the results are communicated to the shop team and that all staff and volunteers are aware of, understand and are working to meet/exceed the agreed targets and KPI’s.
• Actively drive stock generation through community engagement and donor relationships
• Ensure maximum stock availability through effective stock control and shop replenishment.
• Continually review the rotation, quality, and replenishment of stock in order to maximise sales.
• Achieve the optimum price point for all stock items and promotional merchandise for seasonal and window themes, following the principles of Alder Hey Children’s Charity price guidelines.

About the Role

The Development Officer will support the delivery of the Association’s income generation and partnership strategy, helping to diversify and grow funding streams across corporate partnerships, philanthropy, grants and strategic collaborations. The role exists to support the identification, development and stewardship of partnerships, with a particular focus on outreach to secure private finance and build long-term relationships with partners, investors and philanthropic funders alike. You will play a key role in supporting the full partnership lifecycle, from prospecting and engagement through to proposal development, account management and delivery.

This role is for an enthusiastic and proactive development professional, who is looking to grow their experience in partnerships, fundraising and income diversification within a purpose-led organisation.

Key Responsibilities

• Outreach and pipeline development: Support proactive outreach to corporate partners, funders and investors through research and identification to build a strong pipeline of opportunities that are successfully managed through a tailored engagement approach.
• New business and proposal development: Support the development of high-quality partnership proposals, drafting compelling narratives and supporting materials aligned to potential funder interests and organisational requirements.
• Partnership and stakeholder management: Support the management of existing partnerships, ensuring strong relationships are developed and maintained and that outputs are delivered as agreed, assisting in monitoring, comms and impact reporting.
• Events representation, networking and engagement: Attend and represent the Association at events, conferences and networking opportunities, helping to raise the profile of National Landscapes as an investment opportunity within the nature and environmental sector.
• Income diversification trend and insight monitoring: Support the exploration of new income streams and partnership models, including private finance and blended finance approaches, monitoring market trends, funding opportunities (both corporate and philanthropic) and competitor activity to inform strategy.
• Team support and collaboration:Work closely with the Head of Partnerships and Fundraising, the Development Team and wider Association Team to deliver programme priorities and contribute to a collaborative, supportive and high-performing team culture.

About the Role

You will:

About You

We’re looking for a confident, commercially minded finance professional who enjoys variety, responsibility and building meaningful relationships.

You will bring:

· Professional qualification or studying (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or equivalent experience

· Experience producing management accounts and external reporting

· Track record of presenting financial information to senior leaders / Boards

· Experience with SME accounting systems (Xero and/or QuickBooks ideal)

· Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple clients

· Aptitude for working autonomously and making sound decisions

· Excellent communication skills, able to translate numbers for non-financial colleagues

· Experience in or alongside the charity sector (desirable but not essential)

Charity People is delighted to be supporting this incredible organisation to recruit for a Freelance Website Project Manager who will lead on the project management of a brand new website for the organisation.

Freelance Website Project Manager
Contract: Freelance, part time role working two to three days per week, for around one year
Day rate: £210 per day
Location: Homebased role with very occasional travel to the organisation's London office

Leading the full website redesign project, and working closely with the Director of Communications and Marketing at Back Up, this role will be responsible for identifying and secure a suitable agency partner, and then leading the management of the full lifecycle of the project through discovery, design, build, launch, post launch troubleshooting and evaluation.

Core responsibilities within the role will include:

• Procurement and agency selection including developing a shortlisting framework; evaluation of proposals and leading contract negotiation and onboarding
• Project planning and governance including refining project plans and key milestones, ensuring alignment with senior stakeholders
• Lead the discovery phase of the website redevelopment including working with Back Up Services team to identify and contact service users that could be involved in user discovery workshops and testing; work with agency to define user needs, personas, and journeys, and to organise and deliver stakeholder workshops to inform design and content structure
• Support content audit, information architecture development, migration and content development
• Oversee design process to ensure user-centred approach, providing critical review and challenge of agency outputs
• Ensure accessibility (WCAG), inclusivity, and best practice UX
• Monitor build progress against agreed scope and timelines
• Ensure technical quality, performance, SEO, and CMS usability, and oversee integrations (e.g. CRM, donations, third-party tools)
• Coordinate content migration planning
• Define and manage testing plan, ensuring issues are resolved prior to launch and supporting internal readiness
• Oversee launch planning, including risk mitigation and rollback plans
• Work with communications and marketing team to plan communications to stakeholders about new website
• Post launch, support initial optimisation and troubleshooting; review performance against objectives and provide recommendations for ongoing development and improvement

Other responsibilities

• Work with communications and marketing team to support other aspects of digital work such as reviewing and managing GoogleAds programme and exploring options for a digital asset management tool
