This exciting role will lead on all aspects of the finance function, including managing managing the Finance & Systems Officer, overseeing the production of year-end accounts in collaboration with internal stakeholders and auditors, and preparing monthly management accounts for reports to the Senior managers and trustees. Responsibilities also include stewardship of the Foundation’s liquid assets, leading the budgeting and forecasting processes, verifying monthly payroll prepared by HR, and ensuring the efficient operation of the purchase ledger function.

What does the role involve?

• Coordinate across the Foundation and help prepare the annual statutory accounts and all schedules for audit and be the lead liaison with the auditors.
• Prepare monthly financial reports and budgets for review by senior management, providing analysis and other measures of performance.
• Lead on improving processes and systems across all aspects of finance and liaising with the wider organisation to drive these forward.

What skills, knowledge and experience are we looking for?

• Up to date knowledge of charity financial legislation and best practice
• Innovative in the development of processes, procedures and information systems to support the work of the team and organisation
• Demonstrable successful accounting experience in a similar role, ideally within the charity sector

About the role 
We are recruiting a Van Peer Coordinator to support our Hepatitis C peer project in the Oxford & Thames Valley area. This role involves driving a van across the region and working with people affected by substance use and hepatitis C. 

Peers use their lived experience to raise awareness of hepatitis C, reduce stigma, and help people access testing and treatment. 

About you 
You will: 

• Be confident driving a van and travelling long distances 

• Have experience working with people affected by substance misuse 

• Have lived experience of hepatitis C, or experience supporting someone who has 

• Be reliable, compassionate, and well organised 

• Have good communication skills 

• Hold a clean driving licence (essential) 

What you’ll do 

• Recruit and support volunteer peers 

• Work with NHS hepatitis C teams, drug and alcohol services, and homelessness services 

• Coordinate education sessions and community-based hepatitis C testing 

• Support people into hepatitis C treatment and ongoing care 

This role requires regular travel across Oxford & Thames Valley.

The Pop-up Shop Lead will manage all aspects of the Derry Castle Street Pop Up Shop, including leading and supporting volunteers, maximising income generation and ensuring an excellent customer and donor experience.

As this is a newly established pop-up shop, the post holder will play a key role in setting up, developing and embedding the shop within the local community during its first year of operation. This includes building volunteer capacity, developing donation streams, establishing effective shop systems and contributing to the evaluation of the pop-up model to inform future retail development.

Job Purpose 

Magic Breakfast’s mission is to end child morning hunger in the UK now and for good. The Engagement Partner – Hybrid will be responsible for delivering both face to face and remote engagement with schools, teachers, children and young people, and their wider communities within an allocated area. The role will support schools with the setup, rollout and continuous improvement of breakfast provision, and engage with school communities to educate on the importance of breakfast on learning, enabling increased uptake in a barrier and stigma free way by optimising provision and encouraging reach.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES  

• To develop strong relationships with supported schools in the allocated area, enabling, preserving, embedding, enhancing and extending stigma- and barrier-free breakfast provision through a combination of in person and remote engagement.

• To educate and engage the wider school community, including teachers, parents and children and young people, on the importance of breakfast and the implications of hunger as a barrier to learning through assemblies, staff meetings, online support, virtual and in-person events, and regional events throughout the academic year.

• To support the recruitment of new schools by launching new breakfast provisions through a hybrid delivery model, adapting to the requirements of each school and the needs of children and young people, and advising on best practice.

• To support supporter visits, volunteering activity, funder engagement and any related requirements, both in person and remotely.

Our Service

Employment is a key part of mental health recovery. Our employment services are delivered in line with the IPS model, supporting people with mental health challenges to retain paid employment in line with their aspirations. IPS is delivered in close partnership with NHS mental health services, employers, commissioners and the wider system.

Due to receiving new funding we are excited to expand our WorkPlace Leeds service to develop our existing support in the community.

The Role

To provide an evidence-based IPS employment support service, delivered in a trauma‑informed, person‑centred and inclusive way, in line with Leeds Mind values and IPS fidelity standards.

You will be required to manage a caseload of clients who have experienced mental health difficulties and who are either unemployed or seeking to return to current employment following long term absence. You will be expected to deliver the IPS approach (according to the key principles of IPS). You will work with all relevant stakeholders, including employers, to support the client to gain and retain paid employment.

Essential Skills and Experience:

Sheffield Community Bike Project is a not-for-profit community cycle repair workshop that aims to improve access to cycling through three main activities:

• Free (donations appreciated) access to tools and workshop space for DIY cycle repairs, with support from our volunteer team. This includes some sessions for specific groups.

• Offering affordable new and used parts, and refurbished second-hand bikes for sale.

• Focussed cycle maintenance training sessions to upskill our community.

The CEO will lead Sheffield Community Bike Project to successfully carry out its charitable aims, working closely with the Board of Trustees, Bike Project Manager and volunteers. This will include providing strategic leadership, building the organisation's long-term sustainability, securing the funding that enables our work, and supervision of any other paid staff. SCBP is at a key moment of growth. Having taken on workshop premises in September 2024, we are now working to increase the number of sessions that we run, streamline our volunteer and participant experience, and expand the breadth of provision that we offer. About the Role

As an IDVA you will provide high quality support to victims of domestic violence and abuse. You will deliver and provide support in five key areas to support victims to:

• Feel safer
• Feel informed about their rights and the criminal justice system
• Feel listened to and heard
• Be able to implement healthy coping mechanisms
• Be connected with services who are available to help them

Key Responsibilities:

As an Independent Domestic Violence Advocate you will:

• provide appropriate non-therapeutic support to victims of domestic abuse via their preferred contact method.
• undertake needs and risk assessments to develop tailored individual safety and support plans to address the specific needs of the victim.
• use a bespoke case management system to maintain accurate and confidential record keeping and contribute to the collection of outcomes.
• liaise with the police, social services, CPS, and other agencies on the client's behalf, with the client's consent maintaining confidentiality
• provide information to victims to enable them to make informed choices about their future options.

About You:

Ideally, you will hold an approved and accredited IDVA qualification (or you must be willing to work towards one)

You will need:

• A strong understanding of domestic abuse and violence and the impact this has on victims.
• Experience of working with victims of crime (preferably domestic abuse) including completing risk assessments and safety planning
• Experience of managing a caseload and keeping clear case management records.
• Experience of adapting communication styles to be able to effectively communicate.
• An understanding of trauma informed practice and how to implement this within your work
• A through understanding of the criminal justice system and the Victim's Code
• An understanding of confidentiality, safeguarding and other legal requirements
• Good IT skills including experience with working within bespoke case management systems and using Microsoft Office Packages.
• Organised and methodical approach to work with the ability to plan, prioritise and organise workload

The role: Family Support Worker (Bereavement)

• Facilitate or co-facilitate bereavement support group meetings, creating a safe space for participants to share their experiences and provide mutual support.

Established in 1999 SeeSaw Grief Support is an award-winning charity supporting children and young people in Oxfordshire who are bereaved or about to be bereaved. The work supporting children, young people and their families is delivered by a team of clinical staff and volunteers, who work with families in their own homes. Because of this regular travel is involved, often at the end of the school day. We regularly provide support for between 400-500 children and young people each year. 

Our clinical team of 5 practitioners, and 12 volunteers, is supported by our Clinical Data and Volunteer Manager. Due to increasing demand for our service, we are expanding our team and looking for a 6th practitioner to join us, focusing on direct work with bereaved children and young people, and those facing the death of a close family member. We are looking for candidates who have gained experience of working with children and young people in a range of settings. You are a good communicator and skilled at making and sustaining supportive relationships with children and young people to effect change.Our practitioners have a caseload of individual children and their families, and liaise with professionals from schools, health, social care and children and young people’s mental health services, as well as with our team of Volunteer Support Workers. You will be able to work collaboratively and on your own initiative, ideally have a qualification in health care, social work, counselling, psychological services or education; knowledge of therapeutic interventions in grief work would be helpful but not essential as training will be given.
