Action for Refugees in Lewisham is a thriving, dynamic community charity supporting asylum seekers, refugees and migrants across South East London. This is an exciting new role to the organisation forming a senior management team alongside the Executive Director, Casework Manager and Education and Finance Manager. This key senior position combines line management of central staff, high level fundraising, grants monitoring and compliance, development of enhanced member co-production, oversight of operational systems and management of pilot projects emerging from AFRIL’s 2027-30 strategy.

Job Purpose:

• To manage and coordinate the operations of the organisation, overseeing high level day to day operations including IT and systems, GDPR, Health and Safety, volunteer management, operational policies and procedures.

• To provide leadership and line management to the Monitoring and Operations Officer, Experts by Experience Coordinator and Community Activities Coordinator. With possible additional line of other project staff as organisational capacity requires.

• Lead the enhancement of processes and systems which support AFRIL’s frontline systems to work effectively and holistically together, providing capacity and support to project managers and leads.

• Lead the development and delivery of AFRIL’s co-production work, supporting the Experts by Experience Coordinator to amplify members' voices at all levels of the organisation.

• Supporting the Director in delivering the organisation's fundraising strategy. Writing a range of funding applications, holding key funder relationships and developing new funding relationships, including the establishment of enhanced individual, community and corporate fundraising relationships.

• Leading on the management and oversight of the grants compliance and reporting cycles, producing monitoring reports for funders with the support of the Operations and Monitoring Officer. Overseeing and developing evaluations and impact measurement systems alongside the Director.

• Assist the Director with the implementation of AFRIL’s strategy, taking a leading role in the delivery of new projects and areas of work to advance the mission and vision of the organisation.

• Supporting the Director with the development and implementation of a communications strategy, enhancing awareness of the organisation's work and impact.

• To represent AFRIL at a range of stakeholder meetings, and develop and manage partnerships to benefit AFRIL’s service users.

• To work collaboratively and dynamically in a small team, following AFRIL policies and reflecting AFRIL’s values.

We are seeking a Digital Marketing Officer to join our Development and Communications directorate and contribute to the ICR’s digital marketing needs – in particular, to support fundraising across all digital touchpoints. The successful candidate will play a key role in producing and editing digital fundraising content for the ICR’s website and donation platform; creating content for digital ads, including writing copy, working on video briefs, and collating appropriate imagery; our email marketing by writing compelling copy, building templates and working with data.

About you

You will be an experienced cloud infrastructure or lead systems administrator with strong hands-on expertise across Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, Windows Server and hybrid environments. We are looking for someone with excellent troubleshooting, automation and security skills, including experience with Entra ID, Intune, networking, backup and disaster recovery, and PowerShell scripting. You will also bring strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to mentor others and manage competing priorities. Relevant certifications such as Azure Administrator, Azure Solutions Architect, AWS SysOps, Security+ or ITIL would be advantageous.

About the role

The Lead Cloud Systems Administrator is responsible for leading the management, optimisation and security of CARE International UK’s cloud infrastructure and enterprise systems. The role focuses on maintaining highly available and secure platforms, supporting infrastructure transformation and cloud migration activity, and ensuring effective administration of core services including Azure, Microsoft 365, Windows and Linux servers, identity services, networking, backup and disaster recovery. The postholder will work closely with the IT Manager, wider IT team and key stakeholders across the organisation, while also supporting projects, change management and technical planning.

The role requires strong technical knowledge across cloud platforms, systems administration, security and infrastructure support, alongside excellent analytical and problem-solving ability. You will need to be confident managing complex environments, improving performance through automation and standardisation, and responding effectively to incidents and vulnerabilities. Success in the role will also depend on your ability to communicate clearly, lead troubleshooting, mentor junior colleagues and take a proactive, security-first approach to continuous improvement.

The role
As Wales Insights Officer you will support efforts to achieve collective impact between our national organisation and the local Citizens Advice network across Wales. You will strengthen engagement, collaboration and collective communication, build insight from the network and colleagues across the national organisation and assess and report on the impact of collective actions across Wales.

In 2024, local offices in Wales came together to apply for and win regional and national grant funding from the Welsh Government - Advicelink Cymru (the Single Advice Fund) - a programme previously administered via the national organisation. The Coalfields Regeneration Trust (CRT) is the only community wealth building charity dedicated to supporting Britain’s former coalfield communities. We are seeking a Development Manager to lead the strategic and operational delivery of CRT Support in Wales, helping voluntary, community and social enterprise organisations to build capacity, resilience and long-term sustainability.

The Role

You will manage a Welsh Government funded programme of investment and support, ensuring resources are allocated effectively, funder requirements are met, and impact is clearly evidenced. The role includes leading a small team, overseeing budgets, outputs and outcomes, strengthening partnerships, and driving continuous improvement across programme delivery.

A key priority will be leading CRT’s work on community asset transfer, community ownership and asset development across Wales, supporting community organisations to protect and develop valued local assets.

About You

You will bring experience of leading complex programmes involving partners, projects and funding streams, alongside strong knowledge of funder compliance, monitoring and reporting. You will have proven line management skills, a track record of partnership working, and experience supporting community organisations or social enterprises with governance, sustainability and organisational development.

Programme Assistant to support coordination of capacity building and training for Emergency Medical Teams, and humanitarian and academic partners.

The key objective of UK-Med’s training and capacity building capability is to work with colleagues, members, partners, stakeholders and national health staff to strengthen response skills in order to enable Emergency Medical Teams and wider health services to be better prepared for emergencies. Integral to this is to ensure that the professionals who deliver UK-Med’s responses are well prepared, know what to expect, and deliver the best possible responses, resulting in positive health outcomes for the patients and communities we serve.

The Programme Assistant plays a vital role in supporting the delivery of high-quality Capacity Building and Training to internal and external audiences, with a key focus on supporting activities to ensure that preparation and training of UK-Med’s global workforce, comprising Core Staff and a Register of approximately 1,400 healthcare professionals worldwide runs smoothly.

Working under the guidance of the Programme Manager and closely with the rest of the Learning & Capacity Building team, the Programme Assistant will support and coordinate the delivery of high-quality capacity building and training interventions in line with UK-Med’s vision for our digital, in-person and simulation-based training capability.

The ideal candidate for Programme Assistant is someone passionate about Learning and Development and capacity building for humanitarian programming with excellent attention to detail, strong administration skills as well as skills in training coordination and effective communication. The role requires an organised and consistent approach to meeting team priorities and deliverables.

About the position

The Senior Strategic Partnerships Manager - Individual Philanthropy (SSPM) is a key member of the Freedom Fund’s partnerships team, responsible for developing and implementing the organisation’s individual fundraising strategy. This is a part-time role for two days a week (0.4FTE), with flexibility about when the hours are worked. We are seeking a passionate and experienced Fundraising Manager to join our team. The role will report to the Head of Marketing and Fundraising and will be responsible for developing and implementing the fundraising strategy, driving forward all aspects of fundraising, including building corporate charity of the year partnerships, individual giving, major donors,
trusts and foundations, legacies and community fundraising.

The successful candidate will be a core member of the Central Team, working closely with the Marketing Team to develop and deliver income for the charity.

 
This role will have budgetary responsibility to achieving a revenue target in financial year 26/27 of £1.5 million, whilst building a sustainable income stream for the long-term with Yr on Yr growth. Key priorities include increasing the Individual Giving and Regular Giving donor database, donor and fundraiser stewardship, organising fundraising events, and securing grants and sponsorships.
