About this key role

Your role will be to provide young person centred holistic support – including everything from helping clients to understand their own behaviour and its consequences, and promoting change, to helping clients’ families to support them and providing practical help with attending appointments, education, training and employment options, housing, benefits, debt and other aspects of day-to-day living.

Working flexibly within the community and within identified office spaces within London, you’ll be building effective and engaging relationships with young people involved in or at risk of being involved in the criminal justice system, with the aim of improving their life chances. You’ll conduct robust risk assessments and strengths-based needs assessments, with safeguarding as the priority, and ensure that all young people work towards an agreed support plan which is regularly reviewed and adapted. What we are looking for

• Significant experience of working with children and young people and delivering interventions that have had a positive impact.

• Extensive experience of managing complex safeguarding issues with children, young people and adults who are at risk of violence or exploitation.
• Working knowledge of child protection and safeguarding legislation/policy, with experience of providing support, advice and advocacy to staff with a safeguarding responsibility.
• Understanding of the importance of good quality case recording quality assurance principles.

What You'll Do

As Operations Manager, you will:

• Lead and oversee all operational activities across India.
• Manage multiple humanitarian, development and emergency response projects.
• Build strong relationships with government agencies, NGOs, community leaders and partners.
• Lead, mentor and develop India-based staff and volunteers.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the highest standards of governance and compliance.

About You

We're looking for someone who has:

• At least 8 years' experience in a senior operations or programme management role.
• Experience managing large, multi-site programmes and cross-cultural teams.
• A strong background in humanitarian aid, international development, charity operations or a similar sector.
• Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience working extensively across India and engaging with local communities, government officials and partners.
• Strong financial and project management skills.
• The ability to manage multiple priorities and remain calm under pressure.

Essential

• Fluent in English, Punjabi and Hindi (spoken and written).
• Willingness and ability to travel extensively throughout India, including remote locations.
• A genuine commitment to humanitarian values and improving the lives of vulnerable communities.

The Digital Engagement Lead will play a pivotal role in shaping how people discover, experience and connect with Ronald McDonald House UK.

Working closely with the Head of Brand, Communications and Digital Engagement, you'll lead the development and delivery of an audience-led digital engagement strategy that helps us reach more people, build stronger relationships and create meaningful opportunities for support. Sundial Centre for Education on Harmful Practices (“Sundial” previously called Oxford Against Cutting) delivers high quality education and training on harmful practices, such as female genital mutilation (FGM), ‘honour’-based abuse (HBA) and online harms. We offer safeguarding training for teams of professionals such as teachers, police and social workers. We also deliver lessons in schools, as well as workshops for community groups. We ensure people from FGM- and HBA- affected communities and young people are at the forefront of our work and our workshops are often delivered with facilitators with lived experience. 

We are currently seeking an Operations Coordinator to provide professional and efficient and specialist administrative support.

• To contact with schools and relevant institutions to promote Sundial’s training and workshops 

• To liaise with schools/organisations and facilitators to coordinate bookings of Sundial’s training and workshops, including logistics and timetables
