The Stories Officer sits in the Marketing and Communications team and will focus on:
· Assist in managing storytelling requests from across RNID, providing vital support and crafting impactful and compelling narratives.
· You’ll be gathering and shaping powerful authentic stories that highlight the impact of RNID’s work, supporting RNID’s strategic goals.

As Stories Officer, you will:
· Work closely with the Stories & Celebrity Manager, identify, interview, and write-up case study stories from people who are deaf, have hearing loss, or tinnitus to support RNID’s campaigns, media, and fundraising efforts.
· Manage and update our centralised database of case studies, celebrities, and influencers, ensuring all stories across the charity are recorded for effective stewardship. Maintain storyteller profiles, contact details, permissions, and consent forms while ensuring GDPR compliance in data collection and storage.
· Collaborate with PR, fundraising, digital, and campaigning teams to integrate storytelling into their work, identify their needs, and match case studies or celebrities to relevant projects.
· Support the development and delivery of storytelling content across multiple platforms, including social media, website, press, and marketing materials, ensuring content meets accessibility standards.
· Manage multiple internal and external storyteller requests.
We are looking for an individual with a passion for storytelling and a deep commitment to amplifying the voices of people who are deaf, have hearing loss or tinnitus.
You will have excellent writing skills, with experience in journalism, PR, or a similar field, and a strong ability to craft compelling narratives that engage and inspire. We are recruiting a Digital Fundraising Assistant to assist in the delivery of our growing virtual events programme.
This is an exciting new role which involves supporting delivery of a wide range of virtual events at Sands, in order to grow our fundraising income. The role includes increasing Sands’ online presence across a range of channels through excellent stewardship of large audiences who are both warm and new supporters.
You will ensure delivery of a world class supporter experience using an omnichannel approach, helping our supporters reach and exceed their fundraising targets.
Working with the Digital Fundraising Manager, you will monitor the everchanging virtual challenge environment and consider how best to adapt our activities in order to achieve financial targets and remain innovative and a leader within the sector.

About the role
The post holder will provide support to clients who lack capacity and to implement the safeguards of the Mental Capacity Act 2005 or the Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards. They will provide non-instructed advocacy (NIA) support to people who lack capacity to make specific decisions and who have no-one else to support them. About you

As a Team Leader, you will receive guidance and support from the registered service manager to help maintain high quality support to oversee the supported accommodation service. You will also join a cohort of experienced regional managers who, alongside the registered manager, will provide peer support to you in your role.
The successful applicant will be supporting active and independent service users with mental health needs with a wide range of interests and goals. No two days will be the same at this service as we support our service users to follow their passions and engage in a range of activities including: meals out, cooking/baking, board games, movie nights, arts and crafts and many more. The Role:
• To directly lead the team and be responsible for the line management of team members
• To operate as a Team Leader across different streams of support and ensure effective running of services with the support of other senior staff.
• To undertake within your duties direct support to service users.
• To provide person-centred care and support to enable people with mental health needs to live as independently as possible and be part of their community.
• To engage with service users and build trusting therapeutic relationships.
• To undertake assessments of new referrals and ensure robust review processes for those who use the services
• To work closely with other professionals and agencies to provide a coordinated personalised service, which meets the identified needs of individuals, promotes their recovery and maintains their quality of life.
• To deputise for the Mental Health Manager in relevant work areas when required. To provide staff supervision and management, undertaking initial assessments and liaising with other professionals and agencies.
