This role specialises in community based care, including primary care, community services, rehabilitation, care pathways, care and support planning, social care and personalisation.

Hearing Dogs for Deaf People is seeking an experienced and inspiring fundraising leader to grow community fundraising and events income, helping more people who are deaf or have hearing loss reconnect with the world around them.

The Opportunity

This is a chance to build something from the ground up.

As our first dedicated HR Manager, you will establish and shape our HR function, creating the processes, systems, and culture that will support our growth. You will be the go-to person for everything people-related: day-to-day ER casework, leading our digital HR transformation, onboarding new colleagues, and supporting the leadership team through change.

What You Will Do

Build and lead our HR function

• Establish and maintain HR policies, procedures, and processes that reflect our values and meet our legal obligations
• Be the first point of contact for all people matters across the organisation
• Work closely with the Head of Service Operations and leadership team to align our people approach with our growth plans

Own the employee lifecycle

• Manage end-to-end HR processes: attraction, recruitment, onboarding, development, and offboarding
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date employee records and ensure we are compliant at every stage
• Lead on DBS checks, right-to-work verification, and pre-employment processes in line with CQC and safeguarding requirements

Drive our digital HR transformation

• Lead the implementation and ongoing management of our new HRIS platform
• Help managers and staff get the most from new systems
• Use HR data and reporting to give the leadership team useful, timely insight

Support managers on performance and employee relations

• Be the expert advisor for managers navigating performance, conduct, absence, and well-being
• Ensure all disciplinary and grievance processes follow ACAS codes of practice, keeping things fair and reducing legal risk
• Coach and upskill managers so they can handle people matters with more confidence

Lead on organisational change

• Support or lead TUPE transfers and future organisational change programmes
• Help manage change in a way that is transparent, fair, and true to our values

Champion our culture and workforce development

• Support recruitment that prioritises values alongside skills and experience
• Work with managers to embed solid induction, supervision, and development practices
• Contribute to staff engagement and wellbeing work that reflects who we are

What We Are Looking For

Essential

• CIPD Level 5, qualified or actively working towards it
• Proven experience as an HR generalist covering the full employee lifecycle
• Sound working knowledge of employment law, including ACAS codes of practice
• Experience managing ER cases including disciplinary, grievance, and absence, independently and confidently
• Experience supporting or leading TUPE transfers and organisational change
• Experience implementing or managing an HRIS or HR software platform
• Able to work on your own initiative and manage competing priorities in a standalone role
• Strong interpersonal skills and able to build trust with people at all levels
• Organised, detail-oriented, and comfortable handling sensitive information with discretion

Desirable

• Experience in adult social care, supported living, or a regulated care environment

Surrey and Borders Partnership NHS Foundation Trust (SABP) have contracted Surrey Coalition of Disabled People and LF Solutions to provide independent administration and support to FoCUS, their Forum of Carers and people who Use Services.

FoCUS enables people to have their say and influence the mental health services they receive within Surrey and Northeast Hampshire.

FoCUS was set up by SABP to:

· Place people at the heart of the delivery and design of mental health services

· Set standards for how they involve people

· Measure how well they involve people

· Measure how well they deliver services

This role is intended to facilitate and coordinate involvement in FoCUS by promoting the network and encouraging people who use the Trust’s services and carers to join and participate in user involvement activities, and raise themes heard from member experiences to the Trust for discussion.

Main Responsibilities

Promotion of FoCUS

· Encourage and enable people with experience of mental health services and carers to join FoCUS and to influence SABP’s services.

· Increase awareness of the benefits of user involvement and representation in building people’s confidence, sense of worth and self-esteem and in helping people to achieve greater social inclusion.

· Promote FoCUS to people who use SABP’s services and carers, across Surrey and Northeast Hampshire. Using a variety of communication and engagement methods including attending relevant outreach and community events with an exhibition stand or promotional materials.

· Increase the number of service users and carers joining as FoCUS members.

· Develop and maintain personal contacts within SABP’s services in Surrey and Northeast Hampshire to promote FoCUS to their clients, and encourage key staff to attend Community Group meetings.

· Liaise with other services including Community Mental Health Recovery Services, Integrated Neighbourhood Teams and other public services and voluntary sector providers to promote FoCUS and encourage them to promote FoCUS membership to their clients.

Management of the Network

· Contact new FoCUS members to ensure their support and access needs are met and to encourage them to attend their local Community Group meetings.

· Work with LF Solutions to maintain and manage network enquiries, new members, meeting planning and delivery of the activities of the forum.

· Act as main contact for service users, carers and professionals for the FoCUS network. Manage inbox and all enquiries.

· Chair the meetings of the forum to ensure the smooth running of meetings and enable everyone to contribute in a welcoming and supportive atmosphere.

· Encourage members to attend FoCUS meetings and drop in’s to share recent service experiences.

· Produce a quarterly mental health Newsletter to promote outcomes achieved, manage the social media accounts for FoCUS.

Reporting

· Maintain accurate records. Keeping confidential member information up to date, undertaking data cleanses, recording meeting attendance and topics of discussion. Track activity and outcomes data for reporting purposes.

· Provide a quarterly report on activities and membership to SABP.

Development of volunteer FoCUS Representatives

· Encourage FoCUS members to put themselves forward to become a volunteer FoCUS Representative, explaining the nature and commitment of the role.

· Work with FoCUS Representatives on plans for engagement in their Areas and to agree their individual level of involvement in promoting FoCUS. Help them prepare their respective contributions to their Community Group meetings.

· Organise and attend a quarterly meeting of the FoCUS Representatives to prepare contributions to FoCUS Committee meetings, and provide support as required.

· Identify any training needs of FoCUS members and Representatives, to empower them to fulfil their potential and build personal skills and confidence to have their say.

General Duties

· Encourage existing and new FoCUS members to also join Surrey Coalition of Disabled People and the Independent Mental Health Network, offering opportunities for involvement in other issues affecting their lives.

· At all times, to work within Surrey Coalition’s policies. Including equal opportunities and health and safety, safeguarding, confidentiality and data protection.

· To work as a member of the team promoting FoCUS, including FoCUS Representatives and staff of Surrey Coalition and LF Solutions.

We are looking for a new Membership Co-ordinator to join the team to coordinate our engagement scheme ‘Barnwood Circle’.  Barnwood Circle is a network of disabled people, people with mental health conditions, and carers, who inform and shape our work by sharing experiences and expertise.

Our Membership Co-ordinator is a key contact for members. We are looking for someone who can provide excellent administration and coordination of Circle meetups and projects. The Membership Co-ordinator helps us make our communication accessible and relevant to members, and enables members to participate by ensuring access requirements are met.

Specialist experience relevant to disability and mental health challenges, including safeguarding, specialist communications or cultural awareness is welcomed for this role.

We want to diversify our team to better reflect the work and communities we support– this means we would particularly welcome applications from people who:

Summary of Key Duties:

Coordination of engagement scheme

1. Develop and maintain a project-based overview of Barnwood Circle activity.

2. Support participation from disabled people and people with mental health conditions with the widest possible range of lived experiences. 

3. Manage registration of new members and Barnwood’s database.

4. Provide administration of Barnwood Circle member agreements, payments and expenses claims for taking part in projects with the Barnwood team.

Communications and Events

· Collaborate with marketing and communications colleagues to ensure that communications and channels used to engage disabled people and people with mental health conditions are effective, accessible, and relevant.

· Coordinate the creation of communications products which engage a wide range of disabled people and people with mental health conditions, commissioning specialist resources where necessary. 

· Support teams across the Trust to engage meaningfully with Barnwood Circle members and create communications to resource this.

About the role

We are looking for a confident and proactive Strategic Partnerships Manager to help grow sustainable income and strengthen Henshaws Sight Loss Services across Greater Manchester.

This is a key role for someone who can spot opportunities, build influential relationships and turn conversations into contracts, partnerships and income. You will work across public sector commissioning, corporate partnerships, VCSE networks, community organisations and wider Greater Manchester systems to help position Henshaws as a trusted partner in sight loss support.

What you will be doing

You will:

• Identify and develop commissioning, contract and funding opportunities across Greater Manchester.

As the Resource Planning Manager, you are responsible for understanding how work is carried out across the Trust. This includes looking at activities, processes, projects and programmes to make sure the right people and resources are available when needed.

• Lead on embedding the Access Resource Planner across the Walk Wheel Cycle Trust. You will act as the main point of contact for the system and support others in using it effectively, helping to ensure it becomes a trusted and widely used tool. 

• Designing simple and effective processes that reduce waste, improve efficiency, and minimise delays caused by resources not being used well. This will help projects run more smoothly and avoid common challenges that slow progress. 

• Track and report on how resources are used. By looking at past decisions and identifying patterns or trends, you will support better planning and forecasting for future projects. 

• Design and put into place a clear resource management framework. This framework will guide how resources are planned, allocated and reviewed, helping teams work in a more coordinated and consistent way across the Trust. 

This role would be ideal someone who likes bringing structure and clarity to complex work and enjoys understanding how different pieces fit together. We’re looking for accredited professionals from a CWP, EMHP or similar background, with proven experience delivering low‑intensity CBT interventions.

In this role you will be working with children and young people with ADHD and/or Autism, where neurodivergence is diagnosed or suspected, and presentations are mild to moderate. This is a low‑intensity, first‑line CBT offer, delivered through in‑person sessions and/or group work.

Key responsibilities include triaging referrals, completing wellbeing assessments, and delivering short‑term, evidence‑based treatment.

About you

You will have solid experience of delivering evidence-based, short term low-intervention therapy to Children and Young People (8-24) in a community setting. Along with substantive experience of working with Children and Young People (8-24) with suspected or diagnosed Neurodivergent conditions (ADHD and Autism).

You will already be accredited or eligible for accreditation under HCPC, BACP, BABCP, UKCP, BPS, PTUK or AFSP.
