We are looking for a Senior Direct Marketing Officer to manage a team to deliver a multi-million pound lottery & lead generation programme.
This is a London based role with a 50% hybrid working model.

The Role
Manage and motivate a team of three to deliver the programme effectively and professionally.
Manage a portfolio of multi channel campigns including direct dialogue and direct marketing projects to acquire and develop supporters who give via a regular gift.
Lead the development and growth of the Lottey product, along with its integration with raffles.
Drive the creative and functional development of the lead generation programme to maximise the conversion of leads to a regular gift.
The Candidate
Proven ability to plan, implement and evaluate direct marketing campaigns with substantial understanding of direct marketing acquisition and retention across a range of media channels, including direct dialogue, telemarketing, DRTV, digital and/or direct mail.
Previous line management experience, the abilty to motivate and lead a small team.
Proven ability to analyse results of campaigns.
Ability to build rapport and present to a range of audiences and work with both internal teams and external suppliers. negotiating costs, managing relationships and ensuring positive outcomes.

About the role:
This Best Companies Top 100 mid-sized company and Top 20 charity is looking to appoint an experienced fundraiser to help build income from corporate fundraising with an emphasis on securing long term and strategic partnerships.
Reporting to the Corporate and Community Fundraising Manager, you will be responsible for proactively generating significant income from five and six figure corporate partnerships by managing the new business pipeline, identifying new opportunities, building relationships and networking with key stakeholders and producing compelling applications and creative partnership proposals.
This is an excellent opportunity to build on previous experience and develop your skills in business development. Previous experience of securing high value, strategic partnerships in the third sector would be beneficial. The team has a proven track record in winning prestigious corporate partnerships which include: Macfarlanes LLP, Invesco, Knight Frank, Deutsche Bank, Nomura and high street names such as Kurt Geiger. Responsible for a third of the charity’s income the team are driven, highly motivated & results orientated.

About the Role and Objectives:
Developing and growing relations with supporters, donors, public, foundations, and corporate friends. Passionate and well organized, you will change the world for animals by ensuring every department’s work is fully funded – as well as the ADI Wildlife Sanctuary, South Africa, home to our rescued lions and tigers. Duties:
- Production of annual fundraising and marketing plan: growing supporter base, increasing engagement and retention; sustained giving; digital and postal direct response; increasing donor engagement and retention; planned giving; special events/calendar dates; major gifts; foundation grants; corporate support; legacies, trusts, estates; new income research. Who should apply:
You have the necessary skills and experience, with at least 4 years’ experience in fundraising planning and management for charities, including:
- Educated to degree level in a related field (or equivalent experience) (required).
- A successful track record in direct response campaign fundraising and marketing.
- Excellent written English, you can demonstrate impactful and persuasive content for high donors, foundations, corporate support, supporters, social media, marketing and legacy promotion (required).
- You can plan and deliver programs for regular and planned giving, major gifts, estates, support from foundations, corporate support (required).
- Strong technical skills, data management, manipulation; MS Office suite, Excel/Google, other; competent with digital research (NB: ChatGPT not permitted for writing ADI product) (required).
- Strong Raiser’s Edge NXT and Engaging Networks skills (or similar); segmentation, creating lists and reports, data hygiene, audits (required).
- Some knowledge of social media tools, e.g. Canva, Photoshop, or other.
- Management of external vendors for direct response campaigns, production of merchandise catalogue and other sales, marketing, collateral.
- Ensures compliance with ADI’s language, policies, communications style guidelines, editing and publications authorization process (required).
- Skilled at organization and multitasking, you can successfully handle competing priorities and deadlines (required).

Connect: North Korea is a fast-growing charity supporting North Korean escapees to build new lives after experiences of systemic discrimination, poverty, and trauma.
Our organisational income has grown consistently year on year since we registered in 2018. We now have a series of multi-year grants in place ensuring that 42% of our income for 2026 is already secured. We are looking to recruit a dynamic Head of Fundraising to lead and deliver income generation as we scale our work in the UK and globally.
This is a rare opportunity to work closely with the CEO and across programme teams to map out our annual fundraising plan, craft compelling cases for support, develop funder relationships, with an aim to securing our funding base year on year.
Position: Head of Fundraising
Responsible to: Chief Executive Officer
Based at: Our offices in New Malden KT3 with some remote/home working. We will be as flexible as possible to accommodate the right candidate.

- Lead and coordinate all CNK fundraising activity from Trusts and Foundations, corporates and individual supporters;
- Build relationships with major donors, corporates, charitable Trusts and Foundations and other institutional funders;
- Ensure all fundraising meets the Code of Fundraising Practice, safeguarding standards, GDPR compliant and CNK’s values; and
- Report quarterly on fundraising progress to Chief Executive and Board of Trustees
